Fabulous Five for Outstanding Happy Days Day Nurseries

Happy Days Nurseries and Pre-Schools is proving its reputation as the South West’s premier childcare and early-years education provider by achieving seven Ofsted Outstanding judgements in a row for its settings in Cornwall.

St Minver in Rock near Wadebridge, Penair in Truro and Treloggan in Newquay retained their previous Outstanding judgments this year, with Penrice and St Blazey in St Austell receiving their first Outstanding judgement and the accolade of the only nursery/pre-school in St Austell to have achieved this highest Ofsted award.

These five Outstanding judgements follow Treloweth’s (Redruth) inspection last year, a setting that has retained its outstanding judgement through three consecutive inspection frameworks which is a fantastic achievement, and Treliske in Truro who achieved their first outstanding judgement this framework. This is wonderful news for families in Cornwall and Devon communities.

Amongst glowing quotes from Ofsted, a familiar theme in their reports relate to knowledgeable and experienced staff and their relationships with children. 'Staff know individual children extremely well. They have a very secure understanding of how children learn and carefully tailor planning to children's individual needs. Children make extremely strong progress from their starting points' (Penrice 2016 Ofsted report quote).
