A Walsall nursery is celebrating 25 years of providing children in the local area with first class care, after receiving an ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted rating.
Following a visit from Ofsted inspectors, The Co-operative Childcare on Lichfield Road was commended for its colleagues’ commitment to developing the pupils’ 'awareness of healthy lifestyles' by cooking nutritious meals at lunchtime.
The report also notes the importance given to teaching the pupils how to use sign language, allowing everyone to communicate equally.
The outstanding performance of the nursery has been supported for two decades by manager, Debbie Pritchard. This month, Debbie will be presented with a Long Service Award, one of the Society’s most prestigious awards, for her longstanding commitment to the nursery.
To celebrate, The Co-operative Childcare will be hosting a party on 23rd July. A bouncy castle, educational visit from the animal-man and cake sale will all take place, with money made going to St. Giles charity.
Debbie Prichard, nursery manager at The Co-operative Childcare Walsall Wood, said: “The party marks a special occasion for the nursery, as we celebrate the Outstanding Ofsted rating, 25 years of caring for children in the local area, and our colleagues’ commitment to ensuring the pupils have a fun, nurturing and safe environment to be in.”
