Countryside Nurseries is the leading provider of exceptional childcare in the Thames Valley area, caring for children aged from 3 months to 5 years old. Established in 1991. They are very proud to be a family run nursery group, small enough to care personally about their children and staff, large enough to provide a professional level of service. You can have confidence in the high level of quality they have provided for babies and young children for nearly 30 years.

Their nurseries provide warm, safe and happy environments where your child will enjoy rich, stimulating activities appropriate to their age and stage of development.

Your child’s well-being and development is at the heart of everything they do. Staff know that children who feel secure and safe are better able to learn and develop. They are one of the few nurseries to offer home visits to meet you and your child before you start at nursery.

The nursery's learning through play approach enables staff to meet your child’s needs and extend their learning and development whilst fostering their natural energetic curiosity for knowledge and love for life. They invest in ensuring that environments are equipped with resources to ensure your child makes good progress in their learning and development.

They value the knowledge you have about your child and, and aim to work closely with you. Staff want to find out about your child from you and share with you their experiences of your child in nursery.

Your child will gain the most from their nursery experience and you will feel confident your child is receiving the best possible care and education. Staff use an app called ‘Famly’ to ensure that there is good communication and collaboration between home and nursery and also to share photos and observations of your child with you. You will have peace of mind knowing that your child is happy and actively engaged at nursery.

They really do deserve 5 stars on all categories, if I could give 6 stars for one of the categories, it would be for staff. We have been really lucky with the most amazing carers ( although they are also great educators!). The manager is also very approachable and available for a chat whenever you need
her. Our daughter really feels like home in there. Almost every day of the week has a theme and its filled with really creative activites. I can not imagine sending my kid to any other nursery.

We have been so happy with our choice to send our daughter to Beeches Nursery over the last six months. The nursery is small enough that it feels all staff really know our daughter and she is so happy to go in each day. I appreciate the information provided on their app that gives a good amount of detail
on things, like how much they ate, how long they napped etc. without being so much information that it takes away from their time caring for the children. Many of the staff have been there for years which shows, to me, that it is a positive place to be and feels good to know that my child won't need to get to know staff regularly. My daughter had an allergy when she started and they were extremely diligent and accommodating with her meals. They do activities that seem age-appropriate and fun. The management, as well, has been easy to communicate with and run the centre well. Overall, we have had a great experience and would highly recommend the nursery.

Reply from Emily Walter, Manager at Beeches Nursery

Thank you so much for your lovely feedback regarding Beeches. We really pride ourselves on the fact we are a small and professional setting, that works closely in partnership with our families. All our children are very important to us and we enjoy getting to know them. We really appreciate you taking the time to write us such positive feedback.

Couldn’t wish for more from a nursery. My 3-year-old son has a myriad of allergies to navigate - the nursery has helped with this in a safe and inclusive way that my son has thrived under their care. In an excellent location, they regularly take the children out on trips to Windsor Castle, parks, care
homes, walks through town. My son runs in happy every day and I feel at ease knowing he’s in very safe, fun, educational, caring hands.

I am thrilled to recommend William Street Nursery to any parent seeking a loving and stimulating environment for their child. My daughter has flourished under the care of the dedicated and passionate staff. A warm and welcoming atmosphere, making drop-offs and pick-ups a breeze. Engaging activities
and play areas that encourage learning and exploration. A clean and safe environment, with clear protocols in place. Regular updates and communication from the staff, keeping me informed about my child's day. A focus on building social and emotional skills, preparing children for future success. The staff are truly exceptional. They are attentive, patient, and kind, taking the time to understand each child's unique needs and personality. My child has formed strong bonds with the caregivers, and I appreciate the extra effort they put into making every day special. I am grateful for the experience and highly recommend it to anyone seeking exceptional care for their child.

I am very happy with my son’s overall growth and learning and the best part is he looks forward to going to his nursery. All the staff are very caring and supportive. What else a parent would need? We even get his growth/development feedback regularly which helps us to figure out how we can help in
his growth.

My young son attended William Street Nursery, Windsor for just over two years. Some of the teachers were friendly and smiley and my son took to them nicely. However, that was not the case across the board. Unfortunately, it seemed the more Senior members of staff were, the experiences became more unpleasant.
This was certainly the case with the head office. Most alarming of all though was the health and safety record. My son ended up in A&E on 2 separate occasions with lacerations to his head that required stitches. It should go without saying that your child’s welfare is the most important criteria when choosing a place of education and unfortunately, William Hill Street Nursery failed to provide a safe place. Recent Ofsted inspections should have rung alarm bells so please do consider these when choosing a nursery. There are other more affordable nurseries to choose in the locality as well, but it is not on affordability grounds that William Street Nursery scores a low review.

Reply from Kerri Woods, Manager at William Street Nursery

We are very sorry to hear about your experiences at William Street Nursery and the accidents your child had, Within the last 18 months including the time of your child leaving us last year, we have made significant changes which have led to an amazing recent Ofsted Report. We will continue to strive forward to give the children in our care unique learning experiences, a safe and secure environment as well as celebrating children's individuality and personalities. We thank you for your feedback, we will continue to reflect to improve our services to future potential families.

My daughter has been attending the nursery since she was 1, she started in May 2023 and absolutely loves it. The staff are really welcoming and caring. They’re always extremely responsive if ever I message with any questions. I love how all the staff know all the children even if they aren’t in their
room, it sums up the friendly atmosphere. They also take the children out on little trips for walks and to the library. My little girl started in the baby room and has recently moved up a class and the transition has been really smooth.

My child loves coming to nursery. I was a very nervous parent, having had a previous bad experience at a different nursery, and all of the staff were warm, welcoming and friendly. I have absolutely no issues with anything here. My son has learned so much since coming here, and I recommend it to anyone
to send their child here!

My husband and I were so sceptical about sending our son to nursery, however when we first went to visit William Street Nursery, The Manager was so warm and engaging with us. She took us around each floor of the nursery explaining the layout and each room, she answered our questions but mostly our son
was comfortable and exploring the baby room. The rooms were filled with lots of toys and looked very exciting for the little children. After 9 months of our son attending, we couldn’t be any happier with his outcome and development. The nursery staff are amazing and caring. The nursery provides lots of activities inside as well as outdoors. We are so thankful to the staff at William Street for looking after our son.

This is a very nice boutique nursery. The staff are lovely and friendly and often go above and beyond. My child is happy going here. They have improved a lot in the last year and the current manager is great and worked really hard to improve everything ( recently confirmed by an updated Ofsted rating).

They are right in the centre of Windsor which is great for activities for the little ones. A bit more challenging if you need to drive but otherwise great location!

Rated 4 out of 5 simply because I feel the staff are sometimes overstretched. They still try their absolute best (and with a smile!) But I think they could do with some extra headcount.

My son has been at William Street since he was 10 months old. Over the last 8 months, he’s really developed his speech and language skills and I’m starting to see improvement in his social skills too and I think his time at nursery has definitely contributed to that.
The main things I’ve been impressed
by are how well the nursery utilises the small outside space, the consistency in care (I’ve found some other nurseries have a very staff turnover rate) and particularly, by how often the children are taken outside the nursery setting! He’s often going on learning walks to the supermarket, off to the library or at the river feeding the ducks. I’d definitely recommend William Street.

Our child has so much fun here and is truly developing into a wonderful young person getting ready to go to school next year. There are so many trips out around the town and they are developing social skills. Then in the nursery, they are fine-tuning motor skills, learning about food and growing some.
And the fab outside rooftop garden keeps them active and exploring. Plus the team are all so super lovely and put on events too like Halloween parties etc.
We are so thankful for the team and support they offer our children and parents as a whole. A real safe haven.

My daughter has attended Beeches Nursery for 6 months since she was 10 months old. She loves it and her key workers so much that she rarely looks back when we arrive each morning. The staff are very responsive to her needs, especially at the start when she had to adjust to napping in a new environment
and without her mum. She eats every meal they give her, often going in for seconds, proving to me the calm environment they create for the little ones at mealtimes (and how good the chef is!). They update parents regularly on the app, both with daily activities and with important developmental milestones. My partner has a disability after having an accident shortly before our daughter's birth, and the staff have been amazing to be flexible when we have struggled to find help with pick-ups or drop-offs. They do a wide range of activities and my daughter is very happy!

As a first-time Mum, it is incredibly hard letting someone else look after your child, especially when it's not a family member.
The staff at Little Willows and Willow Tree are incredibly warm and wonderful.
The nursery is small which makes the feel of the nursery cosy and makes transitions into
the next rooms easier as the children are familiar with all the staff, regardless of what room they are in.

My son has been attending Beeches Nursery for coming up for a year, having started when he was 11 months old. The provision of care is outstanding, and I feel completely assured that his every need is being met. There have been some managerial changes but they have been communicated and handled excellently,
and it doesn’t appear to have affected the day-to-day running of the nursery. The activities that are run are fantastic, and the displays are constantly changing which shows a real level of dedication to creating a safe, loving and meaningful area for the children.

My daughter is nearly eighteen months old and has attended William Street from around six months old. The staff in the baby room are brilliant and she is happy and excited to attend nursery each day. The dedication of the staff to organising daily activities is incredible, there is always something
new and a wide variety inside and away from nursery, including trips to the library, park or river to feed the ducks. The attention to care and safety is excellent and the management are organised with weekly parent briefings. Staff are always pleased and have time to chat about the children's day on pick up. The app is useful for staying in touch and seeing what's going on throughout the day. It is a great nursery.

My daughter has been going to William Street Nursery for four months now.
She is very happy on our way to the nursery in the mornings. I have noticed a good improvement in her confidence participating in all the activities and with her English and communication skills.
They have a good curriculum
and key person system implemented that it really works. I think it is a safe and reliable place to take my daughter to.
The staff are very professional, well trained and caring. They always keep you updated on what is going on during the day on their app.
The setting has everything to cover her basic needs even fresh food cooked by their own cook. They have a menu for three weeks which I see very varied, healthy and children focused. The activities are stimulating for her age and take my child's preferences and likes into account while focusing on her development and skills improvement. They have a big terrace at the back of the building where they go everyday to do physical activities.
