My child has been at Little Flyers for a couple of years now and loves it. The staff are so caring and friendly. The rooms are cosy and inviting. The food provided is excellent. My child has made great progress with learning and social skills.

My son is deaf and Little Flyers in West do all they can to accommodate him in the best way. I believe it was the best move I ever made to start him at a year - as his development has been fabulous. We have had bumps in the road with staff changing and management was not great for a short period of
time. As soon as change, they were back on it. My son is having some difficulty with toilet training when at nursery, however, as soon as I expressed my concerns they put in place an excellent worker who is doing all and more to meet his needs.

Staff are so kind and supportive of our son. They adapt to his needs and understand what he wants or needs in the moment. He has come along so well since attending the nursery and has formed some really great bonds and relationships with key staff members. So pleased we chose Little Flyers West Calder
and have recommended to friends and family to enrol here also.

My son loves coming here, always has a great time, and the team seem to really care for him. There have been some changes in staff recently, but he doesn't seem bothered or unsettled. Anytime I've been in touch to raise an issue, it's been well received and promptly actioned.

My son loves this nursery. It initially took him a while to settle; however, with the support and patience of the nursery staff, he is a happy, thriving and confident toddler. They always have lots of fun and varied activities for the children to do indoors and outdoors. The staff are welcoming and
friendly. love receiving updates and photos via the nursery portal. It's great to see their development. Management staff have been excellent and have communicated brilliantly with any of my questions or concerns. The nursery has been really proactive and invited parents to some events, the most recent was a Mother's Day afternoon tea, which was a lovely thing to do. I would highly recommend Little Flyers Broxburn.

We've had a brilliant experience so far with this nursery. We feel the staff really do care about the well-being of our children. There's a lot of effort put into making sure they have a fun and educational experience. We have found that staff are great at taking on board any feedback we have, especially
in relation to our children's additional needs with their hearing, and it feels like we are all part of the same team trying to do what's best for our children.

My two children have attended West Calder Little Flyers since October 2024. Management and staff were fantastic at making me feel at ease during their settle period. My eldest son has individual development needs and the team were keen to support us as a family during their time at nursery. We receive
fantastic feedback regarding both children's development and progression. I feel confident my children are safe and secure within the nursery environment and I can clearly see the positive bonds they have made with the staff team.

We introduced our son to this nursery back in March last year. In the year he’s been here we’ve seen a massive difference in our son, the staff have worked with us all and helped our once shy infant with pretty strong attachment issues become this confident and full of excitement toddler who absolutely
adores the staff. Seeing how well he interacts with everyone and even hearing how well he’s getting on with his peers tells us we made the right choice in nursery setting. Now as we expect our second child the nursery has been so supportive in helping our son to understand this change that’s coming and are prepared to help however they can going forward. Lovely place with wonderful staff, we’d be lost without them

My nearly 4 year old son has been going to Little Flyers since he was 1 and we couldn't be happier with the nursery! The staff are always attentive and genuinely love the children and there are always lots of different activities for the children to choose to take part in daily. We love that they spend
lots of time outside and they have a fantastic safe outdoor space. Our son loves his teachers and the food provided and always seems happy to go into nursery We are so pleased with his development to date and would recommend Little Flyers to anyone!!

We are very happy with the Little Flyers @Livingston. Our daughter started there in November after we moved to a new house and we were a bit afraid of how she would settle into the setting if she’d miss her friends from the previous nursery. The team here was very helpful and our daughter was happy
here quickly. There are plenty of activities happening every day and we especially love the little garden that’s open for kids throughout the day in all weather conditions. Also having pictures and seeing what she’s up to every day makes life easier for us knowing that she’s happy.

when it comes to talking.

Little Flyers Ingilston is an amazing nursery. Everything about the nursery is amazing. The meals they provide are really good and some of the meals are different to anything we would have, which means our child is exploring different foods. Our child eats really well at nursery which is reassuring
for us and also shows us how comfortable she is. The app is another thing we love and are so glad to have it. The staff are always so lovely and accommodating to any needs. Our son will join the nursery too once I go back to work after mat leave. I’ve told anyone I know with children how amazing this nursery is.

Little Flyers Ingliston is such a phenomenal nursery. My son couldn't be more excited to spend time with his teachers and friends on the 2 days a week that he goes.
What a comfort it is to me knowing my son is cared for so well by such a wonderful team. He is developing so well under their care. The
team take such pride in the work and care they provide and listen to any new interests and try and incorporate them into the children's days.
It really helps to feel like the teachers are in your team and helping you to create a home from home environment.
Couldn't recommend any higher - thank you to you all!

As a nana who lives a long distance away I was fortunate to view the nursery with my daughter as one of three that were looked at before she and her husband made a choice.
Little Flyers Ingliston stood out without any doubt as the one to choose. The first thing you notice was how happy and interactive
all the children were in a safe and encouraging environment.
My 1-year-old grandson obviously can’t explain his day at nursery but he is so happy when he is going to nursery and full of smiles when collecting him. He really is gaining so much by being in the happy learning environment and has a great time with other children there too.
They really do things well from the attention they give to the children, to the nutritious meals they provide, the learning and fun activities and the information and sharing moments on the family wall.
I feel so comforted to know firsthand how happy my grandson is at Little Flyers Ingliston.
Happy staff, happy children wonderful environment.

Little Flyers Ingliston is amazing, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to family and friends. Throughout the year they have a scheduled plan of events that the parents are involved in. The Christmas stay and play was fabulous. The staff are brilliant and just shows how much they care for the children.
10/10 from me!

Little Flyers is amazing, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to family and friends. I feel like you're dropping the kids off at a family's house, the staff genuinely adore the kids and their jobs and it shows in how settled both my kids are. I also love that my 2-year-old and 4-year-old get to spend the
days together which they would not get in a big corporate nursery.

I can not recommend this nursery enough. They go above and beyond for your child to ensure they well taken care of, loved and supported. My little one has been here since being 10 months old and is absolutely thriving! Constant updates throughout the day on how your little one is getting on. Any issues
a call is made right away in regard to accidents, concerns etc. They always provide fun new activities each week and try to incorporate each individual's interests into something fun at the nursery and the staff are all amazing and show a real interest in the care for your child 10/10 from me.

Good points: my child is happy to attend and has friends there who they look forward to seeing. The food provided by little lunches has a good variety.
Bad points: It is very rare we get any kind of update on what they have been up to, there are rarely any photos or verbal updates and they don't often
bring anything home. Both Mother's Day and Father's Day this year and they didn't even make a card.
I'm not aware of my child undertaking any interesting activities in months, and observations for their learning are infrequent, and show a lack of understanding as to what level they are at. For example saying they can count to 10 and turn take, a year after they were able to do this.
The outdoor area could do with work such as putting down bark as it is just a mud bath.

Reply from Sharon Fairley, Director at Little Flyers @ Broxburn

Hello, thank you for taking the time to share your review, and I am sorry to hear of some of the negatives that you have experienced. We strive to make things right, and I know the managers have reached out to you so that this can be discussed further.
Regarding the mothers/fathers day cards, valentines etc, we are guided by the care Inspectorates to encourage child lead planning and are advised not to follow the traditions of years ago. As a mother, not just the owner, I don't always agree with new legislations, however, that is sadly the way of the early years sector at the moment, and we can where possible try and introduce children to these activities.
Regarding the garden, whilst the children love it, I do agree about the mud. We currently have an outdoor classroom in the plans for the garden, and I had hoped to be further on with this than we are, so we are considering barking the area in the short term.
Thank you again. Sharon Director
