Both of my girls have attended this nursery over the past 5 years, both have really enjoyed attending. There have been a few different managers throughout this period, but the overall service has remained good. Since a member of staff joined the team (now manager) the nursery has gone from good to excellent.
She has built an excellent team which has really helped with our children's development.

Thank you for your kind words we work hard to ensure any changes do not affect the children.

Our son has attended this fantastic nursery since he was 8 months old and has now moved into the Starfish room from the age of 2. All staff who have cared for him have been outstanding. There is a fair amount of staff turnover but we expect that in childcare. The outside areas are engaging and safe
for the children and perfect for (nearly!) all-weather play. The observations on the online portal and quick email/ telephone responses always reassure us that our son is happy and confident within the setting. I would recommend this nursery without any hesitation.

Unfortunately, this nursery in my view does not meet the quality standards that I expect for my baby. Outdoors space is very dirty, the doors are kept open during the day and in cold February months, and babies do play around next to open garden doors. Babies are allowed to go outside with their indoor
clothes and with no shoes, which in winter months is shocking. I understand due to Covid they need to ventilate but as a parent for me is unacceptable that this is done with double garden doors opened where the draft is catching straight to a child who is crawling on the floor. The complaints procedure is very poor and when I complained, I was left feeling that all the stuff was made up and instead of an apology I was offered “good luck with your new nursery”. That is not the support and understanding I am looking for from the nursery. Afterall I expect 100% communication when leaving my child. All in all, I did not feel secure or safe to leave my baby there and would not recommend Baby Nest.

We are very sorry our Ofsted outstanding nursery did not meet with your expectations. Due to COVID, unfortunately, parents have to remain outside during settling in sessions and to enable their baby to move freely between the inside and outside we have one of our double doors open and the heating turned up. All children are appropriately dressed during this time and our practitioners are competent to assess if a baby is cold. The room is sectioned with panels and units to reduce the possibility of drafts on our youngest babies during the short time the door needs to be open. Your complaint was responded to in full and your allegations were not reflected on our CCTV recordings.

Poor care and greedy management is a sentence to describe the school.
I enrolled my child just before the first lockdown due to the fact that me and my wife are keyworkers. They closed the nursery and told us to attend another branch which was far from where we lived due to shortage of staff.
We
didn’t complain because we understood the situation with coronavirus and we had to look for alternative arrangements close to our home.
However, they sent a letter saying we should bring our child back to the school of which we replied that we are isolating because my wife who is a nurse with the NHS has coronavirus and we are told to isolate and will be back once we are clear.
They insisted we pay even though we have never owed them, scared about surviving the coronavirus and also worried about our son passing it to others if he went to school (we sent them proofs).
They still insisted we pay for the time we had coronavirus. Meanwhile, the school managers refused to come to school.

When the Government ordered the 1st lockdown we offered all our key worker families a place at one of our nurseries which we maintained open and ensured practitioners known to the children would be there to care for them. We made no charges for children not attending throughout lockdown. When we re opened on 2nd June we gave parents the option to delay the return of their child until July without charge. Unfortunately as a business that has suffered immense financial loss due to COVID we had to have a limit on how long we could hold a place without payment when we had a waiting list of families needing places. We are obviously very disappointed to loose any family but appreciate individual decisions and circumstances. For our families with a shielding letter we held their place without charge until the Government lifted shielding. All of our team members attended work when required unless they had to shield for either themselves or a family member.

I enrolled my son just before the first lockdown because I am a nurse and a key worker. I noticed my son always comes home hungry even though they said he ate.
The final blow was when they closed the school and told me to attend another branch that was far from my house.
I did not complain and I
looked for another childminder that is close to our house to take care of my son, as me and my husband are both key workers.
Unfortunately, I caught coronavirus and I was told to stay home and my family should isolate.
The school still insisted I continue paying tuition even though they closed the branch my son attends and I was suffering from coronavirus.
I sent them proof of my test result and my family is self-isolating.
At the same time, the managers of the school were not coming to school because they were scared of the virus but they want parents with the actual virus to keep paying and bring their kids to school.

My son started the nursery in January and he was adapted very well, being helped by staff with warmth and cuddles. He absolutely loves going there, he is happy and every time is entering with a big smile.
I'm happy and because at the end of the day I receive a daily sheet which makes me feel at peace
that I know everything that he was doing during the day, plus I receive notifications with photos and his development stages. I'm extremely likely to recommend this nursery.
