Overall Experience

My three-year-old son has been enrolled for five months. The team is amazing. Teachers are very accommodating to his individual needs while teaching him fundamental social and learning skills. They did their absolute best to help him settle there and happily come back. The atmosphere is amazing and

Overall Experience

Our toddler has been attending the Purbrook Day Nursery for about 7 months. The staff have been so supportive of both me and my child at every development stage: adjusting to life after maternity leave, reducing breastfeeding, every toddler growth phase. Since starting there my child has developed so

much in social confidence, speech, concentration, physical activities. He has even learnt yoga and frequently impresses us with his "downward dog"! It is a real joy to see him flourishing.
The nursery are very good at communication: there are frequent e-mail notices and the staff give thorough, diligent handovers at the end of each day so I can trust I will always get the important details.
Management also handles the complex bureaucracy of the government-funded hours proficiently and send communications out in good time.
They cook all meals fresh on-site and they are always good quality. They have a good garden space as well as the comfy baby snug room. My toddler is very happy there.

Overall Experience

My son has been going to Purbrook Nursery for the past 6 months, in the baby snug room. Almost immediately I noticed a huge difference in his self confidence outside of nursery, with a willingness to explore different environments and meet new people.
He has built a really strong connection with his

key person, who is such a lovely woman. She is always extremely enthusiastic to great us in the morning and makes us feel like more than just 'another kid walking through the door' she really knows my son and his interests and seems just as passionate and excited about him meeting milestones as we are as parents.
The room leader, is also always extremely welcoming and is clearly very knowledgeable about the development and education of young children.
I am always very impressed with the range of activities provided for the children and its clear that thought is always put in to include the children's interests and get them involved. we are very happy with our experience!

Overall Experience

The Baby Snug team has been fantastic since our daughter started increased days at the beginning of the year. She has made impressive strides in eating independently, her communication, and her sleep, and she's always happily playing when we pick her up. She eagerly heads in with her key worker or any

team member each morning, all of whom make a real effort to ensure she feels comfortable. We take great comfort in knowing that our daughter is well cared for by everyone and seems to genuinely enjoy her time there. The team keep us updated, either in person or through the app whenever possible. The management team has also been incredibly helpful and accommodating, especially with a recent allergy discovery. Given our highly positive experience with the Southwater team over the past six months, I couldn't recommend them more.

Both my children have thrived since joining Southwater Day nursery and Pre-school. The care given by the team is wonderful and helped settle both children really well into their respective rooms. Handovers are always really informative, mentioning what they have been up to that day, what they have

eaten etc. Management have always been really helpful answering any questions I have. It is an all round brilliant nursery and pre-school.

A lovely welcoming nursery with friendly staff who are interested and engaged with your child's development both in and out of nursery. Child speaks about varied activities they have done each day from drawing and other creative pursuits to outdoor play, park outings and water tray play as well as much

more. It has recently changed hands and is overseen by a larger chain of nurseries now this has caused a few teething issues with food (they tried to make it more fancy) which means the kids are as keen on the food but once this is straightened out it is a great nursery filled with care.

What a lovely nursery! My niece loves going and her development and confidence has come on leaps and bounds with the encouragement of staff members. Communication from the nursery has been fantastic, regular updates are sent to parents. Food is great, she's eaten things that I myself have never tried!

Overall Experience

So far we've had such a great experience of the nursery, the toddler den and baby snug staff are all so lovely and welcoming, our children adore them all. Whenever I need to call up to check in on both my children the management staff are great and really attentive. Seeing them both come out with massive

smiles on their faces says it all, so thank you to everyone!
The only not so great thing is that we can't take the chef home as they only seem to eat her meals.

Overall Experience

My twins have attended this nursery for a few years now, starting in the baby snug which was great, they are getting on great since moving to toddlers , they love going and are always greeted with a hug from one of the girls :)
My sons key worker and another member of staff is my daughters they are

brilliant! I feel they have really taken the time to get to no them, they are gentle kind and very in tune with there individual needs.
Communication is great with all the staff at the Nursey.
Other members of staff are also a credit to this Nursey they make me feel very welcome and are brilliant with my twins.
They do lots of different activities lots of outdoor time, fire engine visit ,Santa visit, animal visits they have lots going on .. there is always a good friendly atmosphere which is why my twins love coming to this Nursey.

Both of my children have been at Rocking horse since they were 10 months old. My eldest is now 3.5y, youngest is 17m. They love it there, they have a wonderful time and I drop them off knowing they are happy and safe. Rocking horse work with parents to ensure children's diet and sleep are kept as close

to how they are at home as possible.

The rocking horse have been fantastic since my daughter started attending a year ago. They have been so attentive and truly care for her. My Daughter started in September 2024 and was welcomed with such love and care. Her keyworker is amazing with her and mentioned that speech therapy was need for my daughter (something a different nursery failed to help with) which was addressed and dealt with immediately. Communication throughout the

day of what the children have been up to, with pictures is so lovely. Every afternoon on pick up we get a run down of her day has been (good or bad). One lady has been working with her to help with pronouncing words and stringing sentences and the difference is amazing! Other ladies are always there with literal open arms which just makes the start of the day so fun! They have a fab manager and you can see how much fun the children have throughout the day! I can't thank all the staff enough for everything they have done for my daughter. Would recommend to all parents who are thinking of putting their child into nursery!

The change of menu and app are not helpful for the kids. I am not happy that the staff are repeatedly telling me he hasn't eaten lunch. And the app is frankly rubbish compared to the excellent app they used previously, that was much more child centered and outcome focused. I'm planning to email management

as the new owners have come in and made changes that no-one, kids, parents or staff seem happy with.

Thank you for your honest review. While we have moved away from our previous meal supplier, we now have an on-site chef who prepares fresh, balanced meals daily, including desserts. This also allows us to offer cooking sessions as part of our extra-curricular activities. Our menus, created with a nutritionist, are reviewed regularly to use seasonal ingredients, and we'll soon share our cookbook and weaning plan with parents. Regarding the app, we've been working with EY to enhance usability, and updates have already been made. We welcome further feedback to help improve functionality. Learning outcomes and progress are still shared via EYLog as before, but please let us know if any enhancements would be helpful. Overall Experience

As an anxious mother, sending our first child to nursery has been incredibly hard. But all the staff at Southwater Family Nursery have been wonderful. They share all our child's activities throughout the day. They send updates with videos and pictures of our child's progress via the app and are always

so happy to welcome them each day. Our child's key worker compiles a thorough observation review each term and informs us of the next steps for them to hit their milestones. Our child has progressed so well and is starting to make lovely relationships with staff and their peers. I cannot recommend this nursery enough. They are highly professional, caring and knowledgeable people, with your child's care and happiness in mind. Thank you.

My daughter absolutely loves attending Lower Beeding Day Nursery. All the staff are lovely, friendly and professional. She settled in very quickly and staff were very supportive during this transition. They have a great range of toys and activities and a great outdoor space to explore too. My daughter

is thriving there, I also receive regular updates about her development. I loved the nursery when I first looked around and know I have chosen well. I couldn't be happier with my choice.

Our daughter joined the nursery in December 2024 in the Baby Snug and she is absolutely loving it. She has settled in really quickly, which is a testament to the caring and attentive staff. She has formed lovely bonds with them already and it's clear they genuinely care about the children. Every day

is filled with a variety of activities that keep her engaged and happy. I also love that they make great use of the outdoor space, giving the children plenty of time to explore and play outside. We couldn't be happier with our experience so far!

From the moment our son started at Lower Beeding in December 2023, we knew we'd made an excellent choice. The staff are all fantastic - very attentive, professional, fun and they clearly really care about the children. Particular shout out to one lady, who our son adores.
We really like that they

take the kids outside in all weathers, have a big selection of activities, a variety of food and take the time to tailor things to individual children. We also love that they take a common sense approach to illness and any issues. We honestly have found it a perfect fit and are looking forward to sending our second child to Lower Beeding next year!
