Overall Experience

Such a lovely nursery! My little boy settled so well and enjoys it so much, always coming home to tell me all the fun he got up to. He has come on so much with his speech since starting and they have toilet-trained him too which saved me a big job! All staff are lovely and welcoming and the nursery

is always doing lovely gestures for the children. I think at the moment my little boy's favourite is the hot chocolate treat from the hot drink stand. Thank you to all the staff at Elm House and the manager for making my little boys' nursery experience the best.

Overall Experience

Nursery are great. My daughter is very happy there and has great relationships with the staff. It's obvious how much they care for her wellbeing. She learns so much when at nursery, she blows me away with her knowledge of the world, events, festivals and life in general. She's been attending nursery

now for coming up to 2 years and her development has come on so well. Nursery staff are always responsive and happy to help.

Overall Experience

The nursery and staff are brilliant. Very attentive and the app provides so much comfort. Very glad we were able to secure a spot and our little one loves it in there. You can tell the staff care for the kids on their care so we couldn't s asked for a better nursery.

Overall Experience

Since our little one started at this nursery he has come on leaps and bounds. He is encouraged by the team to develop and try new things and we get regular progress updates from his key worker. It's a weight off our chest knowing we don't need to worry about him while he's safe at nursery

Overall Experience

My little boy started with Elm House in October and I was really nervous to send him. The staff have made this transition into nursery so easy, they have been great, they've stayed in touch with updates they've reassured me (which has been needed!) and although it's took a little while for him to settle

he has and that is literally down the the staff. Special mention to his key worker she has been amazing, the care that is given to my little boy is just fantastic and has massively settled my very big nerves! Would highly recommend the nursery to anyone. The management team are so friendly and it's just nice to know that he is around lovely people. Thanks very much to everyone!

Overall Experience

We would highly recommend this nursery. Since we moved our son there he has developed so much and he loves going in each day. The staff all know him really well and we get a detailed handover at the end of the day. The app is great and we get regular updates on all the different activities the children

do each day.

Overall Experience

My baby has been attending Elm House Nursery for just over a month now. I was so nervous to put him into childcare after having a year off on maternity leave. The staff are all incredible. I don't have a single bad comment. The nursery feels like a home away from home, so comfortable and welcoming and

my baby adores going in and has the best time. They use an app to keep me up to date with every detail of his day and I can always call if I want to know anymore. The activities they do to keep him entertained and help his development are great and they are always changing it up to keep him engaged. I can't thank the staff in the baby room enough for looking after him so well. I have no concerns or anxieties about him being there whatsoever. I want to highlight the two amazing nursery ladies, they are so good with my baby, and he really does adore them. His face, laughs and giggles say it all and I couldn't ask for more.

Overall Experience

A lovely nursery made by the excellent staff. Both my daughters have attended and I am really happy with their learning. The managers are great if you ever have a question they respond quickly and get it sorted straight away. My eldest made really good progress in Preschool and got her ready to start

school thanks to her Key Worker. The staff are really caring and always make the children feel special.

A lovely place to send your child. My daughter is now 4 and been there since she was 10 months old and loves the place and the staff there. Always go out their way to improve her skills and language and always quick to let me know how well she is doing while in their care.

Overall Experience

Our experience with Elm House (Gateacre) Nursery has been brilliant. From the moment our son started attending in May 2023, we were impressed by the warm, nurturing environment and the dedicated, caring staff. They genuinely care about each child's development and go above and beyond to create a fun

and educational atmosphere. Our son has thrived in this setting, making significant progress in his social skills, communication, and learning.
The open communication between the staff and parents via the app is another highlight. We receive regular updates and photos, which keep us informed and connected to our son's daily experiences.
We would highly recommend Elm House (Gateacre) Nursery to any parent.

My daughter has attended for 7 months and the staff have been really good with her. She was provided with a key worker and they stay in contact through an app. They have supported her development and always let us know if there are any issues. I would definitely recommend this nursery.

Overall Experience

My little girl started in this nursery a few months ago, she was really upset and anxious and wasn't interested in making friends, and the nursery staff were so wonderful and patient with her. Now she loves going, she has a best friend and she has come on so much in her development. I feel so safe leaving

her there, all of the staff are really friendly and caring, and she's going to pre-school in a few months - just because it's linked to the school we want her to go to, but I'm gutted that she'll be leaving, and I know she'll be heartbroken too.

Overall Experience

Elm House is a wonderful nursery. I currently have one child attending and have had previous siblings attend in the past. All have settled really well and loved being in nursery. Staff in the setting are very attentive to children's needs and nothing seems too much trouble for them. The environment

is lovely and really well-used. Children are always playing outside and experiencing different types of weather. Staff regularly plan fun activities for the children to enjoy and this is fed back to parents and put on the nursery app. Staff and management are always warm and friendly and it's clear they have a passion for being with the children.

Overall Experience

This used to be an amazing nursery. It had a real homely feel and lovely vibe. Unfortunately, this is not the case anymore. Despite the lovely outside area the vibe and homely feel has disappeared. The owners don't appear to care much for the place or the families that it serves with a 48% hike in fees

over the past 3 years to £67/day with little more to show for this. They also charge £10 per day for food on top of this. The children usually get a piece of toast for breakfast, then lunch and an afternoon snack of breadstick and Cucumber. They won't allow packed lunches. Parent views are never taken into consideration and fees are hiked with only a few week's notice, not giving parents enough time to source alternative childcare providers. There has been a massive turnover of staff in the last few years which is not good for the consistency for the children. Although a few years ago I would have definitely recommended this nursery, it is with regret and sorrow that I can't do that anymore.

We are sorry to hear that you feel your recent experience was not wholly positive for your child in the last few months with us. As a Nursery we work hard to ensure all our children receive the very best care at all times. This is the result of the hardworking Management and staff. We agree with your comments the Nursery is an amazing setting which is well resourced. Whilst we accept your points of view they do not correspond with the reality of the situation. Our recent nominations as a National Top 20 individual and group nursery corroborates this fact. Our current fees take into account the shortfall and increase in Government funding and the exceptional increases and all other costs over recent years.

Elm House is a lovely nursery. All the staff are so friendly and they all seem to know the children, it is a real family feel. Overall Experience

Elm House is like an extended family, such a homely feel, good range of home cooked meals and snacks. The staff are very caring, they are truly wonderful, you could not leave your children in safer hands. The outside space alone is fantastic. The support for starting school our little girl received

was outstanding but we knew long before then that Elm House was 'the one' our little boy is equally as happy in Elm House. Our daughter who has gone through to school now entered very tearful, some separation anxiety and left a confident happy little girl. 110% recommend.

Overall Experience

My daughter has been going to Elm House since she was 1 and is now in one of the preschool rooms. She started during COVID and the nursery utilised their outdoor space to create outdoor classrooms for each room whilst also maintaining a really lovely atmosphere for the children.
The outdoor space

the nursery has is fantastic with lots of areas and activities for the children to explore. The nursery is led by a wonderful manager and assistants, with all staff going out of their way to ensure the best experiences for the children.
We have recently had a second child who will also be attending Elm House as we have had such a positive experience so far.
