Overall Experience

All staff are amazing and care greatly all the children. My little boy enjoys his time at Butterfly Blue immensely and has great bonds with all the staff including those not based in his room. He comes out happy every day and always talks about what he has done. I am so grateful to the team for making

my sons experience so warm and welcoming.

Overall Experience

The staff are welcoming, proffessional, caring, friendly and understanding. They are involved with the children's play as well. The environment is safe and set in a secure, seduced environment.
They keep parents updated about my child's daily activities and the child's development. They also arrange

follow-up sessions to review a child's progress.

Overall Experience

My daughter has been going to Second Steps Day Nursery for 2 years and absolutely loves it. The staff that look after her make her days fun, interesting and educational. Most of all, they make us and her feel safe and secure in their care, particularly via the app updates where we get to see what she

has been doing throughout the day.

Overall Experience

My son has been going to Second Steps for almost 2 years now and he really enjoys it. We have never had any issues and find the staff to be really supportive and personable. They clearly take the time to get to know the children and all know him by name, even those that work in different rooms. We are

kept well updated on his day via the app. The food selection is good and varied. The space is set out really well and it has a lovely big garden. The activities they do with the children throughout the day have had such a big impact on his development and we are very grateful for this. The nursery are fully supportive of potty training. The only thing I would say is that it would be nice to see some more of the arts and crafts things he does, perhaps in the form of a pack given out monthly.
I would highly recommend the nursery to anyone thinking about sending their children there.

Overall Experience

My daughter has attended Butterfly Blue Day Nursery since she was one year old (now nearly 4). We have always found her care to be of a high quality. The staff always display a positive and caring attitude, as I always feel assured she is in safe and caring hands. There are a good range of activities

on offer and great food.

Overall Experience

My daughter is well looked after and she enjoys coming in every time. She is learning a lot in prep for reception. The nursery offer a wide range of meals, which she enjoys as well. Staff are friendly, approachable and informative. I would like to see more of the work/tasks she does - maybe as a scrapbook.

I know the setting use an app to inform parents of observations, which is great! But, due to safeguarding, most posts I can't see her and general to all children.

Overall Experience

My child has been attending Second Steps for 14 months. We viewed various nurseries and Second Steps stood out a lot. My child has always enjoyed attending which is clearly reflective of his experience. The staff are extremely personable and all know him by name, even those who work across other classes.

His care is always thought of, we have always been kept informed of his day and contacted with any health concerns. I particularly appreciate the attention to detail, recently an example of this is the nursery ordering in a cleaning set and facilitating his imaginative play with it.

Overall Experience

The bond my little girl has with the three lovely ladies who care for her and the other children in her room is so beautiful to watch! All three ladies and other staff that we come across are an absolute delight! Their attention to detail when it comes to adapting activities to each child’s individual

likes is amazing. They honestly can’t do enough for your little ones! My little one loves nursery so much, it’s sometimes hard to get her to leave. The original plan was just to be there for the year till she could start nursery full-time in a school nursery, but after seeing how well she’s settled and the love she has for everyone there! They’ll be stuck with her till it’s time for her to start school! Something which they are all very happy about. Would highly recommend!

Overall Experience

We are very impressed with the nursery; they take wonderful care of our son, and he loves it there. Everyone is very kind and caring and invested in the development and growth of the children. There are lots of learning opportunities and activities both indoor and outdoor for the children, and we have

really noticed the positive effect on our son. It is always lovely and clean, the children are fed a varied healthy diet.
The nursery and staff have also been super helpful and supportive whenever we have needed additional help with something or some extra hours here and there, particularly when we were having a difficult personal time, they were very good at assisting us in making sure our son was minimally affected by it.

Overall Experience

My son is very happy at High House. He is always happy to go in the morning and comes back home each day and tells us what he has learned. We are getting more frequent updates on the activities the kids are enjoying each day, what they’re eating and observations about our son’s progress.
A huge effort

is made by the manager and the team to make High House a welcoming, fun, safe and learning environment. The staff are all friendly and approachable and frequently ask for feedback so they can implement positive change at the nursery.

Lovely nursery. Lots of different activities and lots of parent involvement. Great outdoor space with lots of learning opportunities. Pumpkin trail was great fun and so was the parent tea.

Overall Experience

My little one has had a difficult time adjusting to nursery, and even though mornings remain tricky, the staff throughout are absolutely wonderful. My little one always comes home with a smile on his face, telling me all about the ducks and his adventures outside, with remnants of fun arts and crafts

on his hands. I love to see the updates of what they’ve got up to throughout the day. I’m always impressed that even management welcomes my little one by his name and knows him as an individual and how he is progressing personally. It’s positive to see investment going into the facilities, the room my little one is in is vibrant and stimulating, but I value most the time the staff take to get the children outside come rain or shine, and when picking up in an evening, there’s a vibe of tired but happy and content little ones. Happy son, happy mum!
