We couldn’t have wished for a better nursery. My daughter is shy and quiet and the nursery staff have bent over backwards to support my little girl. My other children didn’t attend nurseries, so I was so apprehensive about sending my youngest and went around all the local settings in Melton Mowbray
and none of them had the home from home feeling like Little Rascals had. I couldn’t recommend enough.

Our son (14 months) started at Little Rascals just before his first birthday. There were plenty of settling-in sessions which gradually increased in time and included food and nap times. These really helped us all to feel comfortable when he officially started. He has a minor health condition but staff
were really thorough in finding out all about it and how best to support him. Handovers are brilliant at the end of each day and we are regularly kept up to date through the app about what he’s been up to. Activities are really well planned out and are catered to specific children’s interests and development stages. Staff are fantastic at giving advice on things like weaning, napping, etc. They’ve even passed on recipes for meals that our very fussy son has particularly enjoyed. He is always happy at pick-up and seems to come home every day having learned something new. We’re so pleased that we chose Little Rascals and can’t thank the staff enough for all that they do for him.

I moved my daughter from a different nursery to Little Rascals on Welby Lane. It was the best decision that I have made. She absolutely loves it. Every day, she comes home having learned something new (she is 14 months old). Nursery has enhanced her social and communication skills outstandingly but
the area that I am most pleased with is that she is happy. Since moving to Welby Lane, we have not had any instances of separation anxiety or crying at collection or drop-off. She toddles straight in and has fun from start to finish. The staff have built up an amazing relationship with my daughter (all staff know who she is too - not just the ladies in her room). Each day, I am given a thorough handover and they notice even the smallest of details.
I drop her off in the morning and know she is receiving the best care. I cannot thank them enough.

My daughter has just finished with Little Rascals to start school. She's been with them since she was 8 months old and I couldn't rate them higher! The staff are all so warm, understanding, and welcoming, they'll do their best to work with you for what is best for your child.
The games they play with
them develop their brains and confidence so much and the children just think they're playing! They're so creative with how they get the children to learn and eventually get them ready for school. We were with them through Covid and they worked so hard to keep everyone safe, it was a really tough time for us all but we felt so supported with the staff there.
They allowed my daughter to be herself and helped shape her into the (pretty amazing!) girl she is today. She loves outdoor play and the facilities they have there allow her to explore the world safely.
We love this nursery so much that our baby is due to start with them next month!

In my, opinion the best nursery in town! All of the staff are warm, welcoming and very knowledgeable. The care and education given are second to none and both of my girls have loved their time there. My older girl left nursery very confident and very well equipped for school and my baby who attends
at the moment absolutely loves going. The staff have taken the time to build a beautiful caring rapport with her. I thoroughly recommend Little Rascals to anyone.

My wife and I are extremely overjoyed with the support and care our child receives from everyone at Little Rascals Day Nursery.
We chose this nursery after visiting a few and this was the only nursery that wasn't scared of our child's diagnosis of CHD. They welcomed him with open arms and have gone
above and beyond to help him with his needs such as learning Makaton and reading all the information we have sent about his heart defect.
Not only are we happy but our little boy is happy and he talks fondly of all the staff he comes into contact with. They really care about him and it shows as he is always super smiley at drop-off and pick-up.
Communication with the manager is fantastic too and she also does everything she can to ensure all of our child's SEN needs are met.

Little Rascals is an excellent nursery. My first impression of the nursery was very positive when I visited for a look around before booking a space, and my son's experience over two years has lived up to expectations. The staff are passionate, dedicated, friendly and professional. There is clearly
a positive culture that persists despite occasional staff changes. The children are stimulated and learn using a variety of activities, and in his room they can play inside and out as they wish. My son has also been on a number of trips over the two years. Communication with parents is very good via the app, with the right balance of keep us up-to-date without detracting from staff spending time with the children. I'd highly recommend the nursery to anyone.

I would absolutely recommend Little Rascals Nursery to any parent. My daughter started at the Welby lane setting in 2020 during the pandemic and the baby room staff were absolutely amazing in settling her into nursery, allowing her to do settling in sessions as required, and their caring nature and
home-from-home setting definitely removed the anxiety as a parent. My daughter has had some additional medical needs for a temporary period which all staff went above and beyond to accommodate and make her still feel included which I can't thank them enough for their efforts in making that tricky period as easy as possible. My daughter has flourished in so many ways at Little Rascals, with the support of all the enthusiastic and caring staff and the interesting activities they create to get the children engaged and learning. The additional activities such as trips out and sing and sign classes are a bonus! I made the best decision choosing Little Rascals and my little girl absolutely loves it!

My husband and myself are so happy we chose Little rascals for our little boy - one of the best decisions we have made so far as parents! The staff have been so supportive and understanding, as not only as we are first time parents (so lots to learn ) - and they have been wonderful - but with our little
boy born into a pandemic world having spent the majority of his first year in lockdowns/a rather small bubble of people and experiences...we were also nervous. But they have ensured great communication - be it emails, the report app (which is also heart warming to read and see photos/videos of our little boy while with them) or the daily handover! They have been patient and reassuring with us and importantly our little boy! The food and the daily set ups for play/activities are great and always different! My little boy lights up and smiles when we walk up to the door, and he goes into the room/to the staff with open arms - that is the best indicator and review for is, he loves it there!

This place is truly designed to be a home away from home. It is staffed with highly professional and caring nursery workers who provide the highest quality care for both the physical and emotional development of children.


While we have been using Little Rascals, our daughter was diagnosed with epilepsy

and had her most serious fit to date while on sight. The team followed the care plan perfectly, administered the rescue meds, and called for an ambulance as well as ringing us and staying with her and giving the very best care. Their actions saved her that day and we will be eternally grateful.

My little one loves it here. The staff are caring and kind, and have been particularly brilliant as my little one started during the pandemic. They were not at all pushy, but were understanding of two anxious parents and did everything they could to help us all during very strange times. There are lots
of things for the babies to explore, as well as some great activities that the staff put on. They have some good meals and the handovers that we have received have been very informative. Sending our little one here is one of the best decisions that we have made so far as parents.

Our son started Little Rascals Day Nursery - Welby Lane just after his first birthday. Everything has been amazing. As first time parents we were nervous about leaving our baby with anyone, especially as there was a pandemic! Little Rascals Day Nursery have been kind and child centred throughout, with
clear safety procedures. The staff have been great, they will listen to the child's interests, diet and naps, putting each child at the centre of their experience, rather than fitting the child into a rigid routine. They have even supported us using reusable nappies. There is good communication between parents and staff and all the messages that are given to management get through to the right people too. The environment is lovely and my son really seems to enjoy his time there. I feel like I am listened to as a mum and the usual family experience that the child would have at home is really valued. Thank you!

Fantastic nursery, the facilities on offer for the children of all ages are remarkable. Staff provide great care of the children.
