Overall Experience

We couldn't have picked a better nursery for our two children. We have a child in the baby room and another in pre-school room. Both absolutely love the nursery, the nursery key workers do an excellent job to cater for their needs and help them develop key skills and achieve milestones while ensuring

to work together with us parents and keeping us part of our kids development. The environment of the nursery itself is refreshing, upbeat, and welcoming. There is lots of diversity too and the staff ensure to celebrate this too which for us is important as we are a multi cultural family. It is by far the best nursery our children have ever enrolled in. Highly recommend it.

Our daughter has been attending for the last few months now and has settled in fantastically. She always gets excited to go in and always has a smile on her face when we receive updates/pictures via the app. Great activities, fantastic food options. Our daughter has come on leaps and bounds since joining

and this is a credit to her key workers! Could not recommend this nursery enough! Thank you!

Overall Experience

My son has been going to the nursery since January. Ever since his inductions all the staff have been very welcoming. I feel safe leaving him there knowing he'll be looked after and learning lots of new things. I really enjoy being sent photos throughout the day, also being kept upto date on what he

has eaten and various other activities. If he has been poorly they have notified me immediately.

Overall Experience

Our 9-month-old loves it here! After her first taster session at 8 months old, she came home babbling happily and crawled for the first time. Since then her movement has come on amazingly, she can pull herself up to standing now. She has so much fun and is building great relationships. She's also allergic

to fish and the nursery has been great making sure that's monitored. The staff put you at ease and the security (facial recognition on the door) is great. The app is a bonus and the management is great at responding to messages. The only thing that would improve it is the outdoor space at the front, but that's such a minor thing that doesn't bother me.

Overall Experience

My child has been attending Children 1st Syston for the past 3 years. I have nothing but positive feedback. It has been a truly remarkable journey my child has been on here. I strongly believe that is down to the staff and nursery set up. The rooms are well equipped for each age range, the activities

they put on are amazing and well thought out. It ensures my child leaves a day at nursery having been fully engaged. All of the staff, from reception, support staff through to the key workers are amazing. All staff consistently go above and beyond. The key workers in all of the rooms have been like an extended family to my child. They show the same care, dedication and attention as I do. When I drop my child off here at nursery, I know they are in safe hands, where there will be well cared for, supported in growth and development and will have fun. I would highly recommended Children 1st Syston. If anyone is considering sending their child here, my advice would be to do it.

Overall Experience

I have been very impressed with the care of Children 1st @ Leicester and the care of my children, in particular. The nursery are proactive in teaching our children skills that are both education and preparatory for schooling.
The staff are professional and welcoming. We, my wife and I, like the thorough

handovers from staff at the end of the day and effort it takes to complete their progress book; one of the best nurseries in the area.

My little boy started here in October and he is very settled! So happy to go in every morning. The staff always keep us updated on anything that we need to be aware of. They are always smiley. My little boy really enjoys going to nursery, the staff always provide good activities, the food menu has a

Overall Experience

Fantastic nursery is all I can say. My daughter has been here since May and she has really developed and progressed during her time here. She loves being here and constantly talks about her teachers and friends at home. We feel she is well looked after and the communication from the staff here is fab,

we know what has gone on each day and if there is something more urgent we get a call. The staff are wonderful and we are very happy with our choice of nursery.

Overall Experience

Our child settled in quickly (October 23) and has progressed through the rooms in the nursery well. She has her favourite carers which does make it easier for us as parents as it feels like the staff take a vested interest in her well being. She frequently comes home with her hair braided and a smile

on her face.
On one occasion we raised a concern with the staff regarding the behaviour of another child towards our daughter. This was dealt with professionally by the manager and to our satisfaction and in this regard we are very happy that the new management team is there to work with us for the benefit of our daughter.
The staff always accommodate late arrivals to ensure they sit and eat breakfast even if the other children have finished. I would like to see the food menu developed further which would be my only area of improvement suggested for the wider ownership team as this is part of a group and I am sure the food menus are centrally set.

Overall Experience

My daughter has been attending this nursery since she was 1 years old back in 2022 and we have had nothing but a positive experience here. The food menu is varied and she always eats really well, the activities are fun and challenging throughout all of the different classes she's been in. It's a really

inclusive nursery and I've noticed in the 'pre-school' class, she is learning so much so quickly, she is already excited about going to school. The staff are so encouraging and caring and they have never made me feel like my daughter isn't being looked after. My 1 year old son has now started there despite us moving out of the area because I shopped around and genuinely couldn't find a nursery that matches up where we now live. The new manager is fabulous, she takes a common sense approach and really understands the needs of the children as well as us as parents. I see a great relationships between all the staff and they really are behind what makes this nursery so great.

Overall Experience

I like the slightly more corporate nature of the nursery with the manager available at the reception desk attending to queries; this creates a professional environment. The nursery rooms are always very clean and stimulating for the children and the staff put a lot of effort into planning and delivering

a variety of activities. I like the way in which the activities reflect the yearly calendar e.g. Diwali, Bonfire Night, Christmas etc.
My son progressed through every room of the nursery and is now at school in year 1. He was always happy there (and misses it!). My daughter is in the baby room and enjoys being there too. Her key worker is always friendly, kind and professional. I always feel that my daughter's physical and emotional needs are met.
The food offers plenty of variety and I like the way in which the children sit together to eat around the table.
Overall, I am very happy with the quality of care at Children 1st in Birstall.

My daughter settled quite quickly into the nursery life and really enjoys coming to nursery. It is lovely to know she is making friends and engages with other children and staff in her room. I love to hear what she's been up to in her day she even comes home and replays what she's done each day. I've

noticed a special relationship between my child and her keyworker and I love to look at the observations each week. We are always greeted by the receptionist it is a positive start to our days and the management team are always keen to help and support with any issues or concerns we have.

We couldnt be happier with our experience at Children 1st. The team are responsive, reliable and professional. Any query I've had has been answered by them taking accountability and direct action setting my mind at ease to feel confident in the care I've left my child in. Our two-year-old has been thriving

My daughter started this nursery in June 2024 and she has come on so far since starting! She absolutely loves it, can't wait to leave the house in the morning and once she gets to nursery she runs in making an entrance with excitement!
The staff are wonderful, always polite and I feel comfortable

My boy loves this place so much. We chose it based on reviews here. The nursery is gorgeous and there are so many activities inside and outside. The staff are all amazing and go above and beyond to support children and make their experience a happy one. I was concerned how they'd get our tricky sleeper

to nap but they do it well. If he needs 2 naps or 1 they do it. They're more than happy to take your lead, the staff provide updates via the app and lets us know how he's been. The app is great as you see throughout the day what's been eaten, the nap times are live and you get a picture of an activity your child's enjoyed. You can also send a message to the staff. The food is healthy and varied and the timings for meals are convenient. Even staff in other rooms bond and get to know them. The office staff and management are organised and professional, speedy responses, including invoices being accurate. You don't get this experience in all settings. We have zero regrets about sending him here!

Overall Experience

Since the recent change over of new nursery manager, I have noticed a dramatic positive change in all aspects to the nursery. The atmosphere is much more welcoming, radiating to the staff being happier. Since this change my son's attitude towards going to nursery has changed and we have noticed positive

developmental changes in him in this time.
The nursery staff have all been very friendly and approachable. Happy to listen feedback and accommodating towards the care provided. Hand overs at the end of the day are always informative and through without feeling rushed.

Overall Experience

I have had 2 children at the nursery, and both absolutely love it. They both go in every day excited to get to their rooms and see the staff and other children. The bond both my children had with all the staff has been amazing. All the staff knows each child, not just by name, but by who they are and

their characters. My daughter has just finished at the nursery, and they have done a fantastic job making sure she is as school-ready as she could be. On top of the amazing staff, the facilities, food/menu, communication, and activities are also fantastic. Also, I really love the daily photos of my children so I can talk to them about what they did during the day. Outside of this, the Special Educational Needs Coordinator support has been fantastic, at not only supporting my children and helping them develop but also supporting, guiding and educating us as a family. Thank you for everything you do.

Overall Experience

Child 1st provides very competent care for all age groups. Two of my children have attended the setting from babies and I couldn’t fault the staff, environment, and management. I travel an hour round trip for my children to attend because I have every confidence in the day-to-day running and the care

provided. While it’s as home from home as it can be, children's learning, behavior, and well-being are clearly at the forefront of the centre’s agenda. All staff are personable and try to accommodate as best as possible. Big thank you, long may it continue.
