Overall Experience

Our son joined this nursery from age 1 and graduated in August 2024, just before starting school. The staff here are golden, competent and genuinely caring. Our son was a very particular guy and they really helped steer and guide him on his social skills. We couldn't have asked for a better team. Don't

get me started on the graduation show! The effort they all put in was second to none. We will certainly never forget our Orchidale journey.

Overall Experience

I was very nervous about sending my daughter to nursery after maternity leave. Like many mums, I had anticipated tears and frustration, but I am delighted to be proven wrong because my daughter thrives at Orchidale. It is a relief to see how wonderfully she has bonded with her key worker, who did tremendous

work to get her quickly settled. The genuine, caring manner with which all members of staff approach their role is evident, and I am always impressed with the creativity the staff demonstrate in the activities they put in place for the children. My daughter has grown in confidence and curiosity, and the regular updates during the day are a comfort that she is happy at nursery. The team at Orchidale successfully find the balance between building independence through free exploration and play, while also allowing for structured, age-appropriate learning opportunities. My daughter loves it and the staff are truly superb, I could not ask for more.

Overall Experience

Both my children attend Orchidale. My eldest has been attending since she was 9 months old and she's nearly 3 and she absolutely loves going. She initially struggled at drop offs but the ladies helped with techniques to help her settle (and me! Knowing I could call, or even just calling me to reassure

she'd settled within 2 minutes) and still we receive daily photos throughout the day to show them both making friends and enjoying so many wonderfully imaginative activities. Throughout her transitions through nursery, it's wonderful now to hear her stories about everything she's done in the day all with a smile on her face. My youngest has come on leaps and bounds since attending Orchidale and it's lovely to see his face light up when we turn up.

Overall Experience

My two children attend Orchidale. My eldest daughter has been attending Orchidale for 3 years and loves her time at nursery. The nursery plans new and engaging activities on a daily basis but also follows children's own interests and planning in action. The forest school facilities are brilliant and

trips are planned on a regular basis. My youngest daughter has recently joined at 6 months and the baby room has a home-from-home feel.
Staff listen to parents and value feedback. There is a consistent key person approach and updates are added to the online portal daily.

Overall Experience

Our son has been going to Orchidale for 2 years and loves going in every morning.
The range of activities and learning experiences available to the children is fantastic. He spends most days outside playing in the garden or visiting forest school.
His development is so supported and he's learning

new things everyday.
His key worker is the best, she genuinely cares about the children and I know that he is in such safe hands. I'd recommend Orchidale to anyone.

Overall Experience

The nursery provides a brilliant range of indoor and outdoor activities. The staff create an environment where children can try new skills and encourage independence. They have supported my child to sleep, eat, and play independently, whilst being on hand to help if needed. The online platform is regularly

updated and I feel comfortable to call or message if needed.

Thank you for your review. It is a pleasure to care for your child at our nursery. We reached out to the reviewer to understand the reasoning behind the 3-star cleanliness rating. The reviewer explained that there were no particular areas needing improvement. The rating was based on the fact that, being a largely outdoor facility, maintaining a perfectly clean environment is naturally difficult outdoors. They are very pleased that we promote opportunities for children to engage in messy and sensory play and our focus on outdoor learning.

Our daughter has now been at Orchidale for over a year and we are continually impressed with the nursery. We did extensive research to find the best facility within our area and Orchidale always came out on top and highly recommended. They offer such a variety of activities with the children and keep

us updated via the app. All the staff are very enthusiastic and polite. Freshly made meals on site are all part of the service! The staff are very accommodating of any needs on drop off and you have a full debrief on collection on the day's activities and food consumed. Keep up the good work girls!

Overall Experience

I've now finished 2.5 years of Orchidale and my child is now leaving for School.
She has absolutely loved her time at nursery, she loves the staff and all the brilliant activities. They have such a varied day, trips in the minibus, walks, visits from people, trips to the shop etc.
She's always enjoyed

the food, and her table manners are great. Which I am sure the nursery has helped with. She's confident and very independent. Again I am certain a lot of this is down to nursery and the team. The team are easy to contact and I feel they really know and understand my child.
We will definitely miss Orchidale.

The whole team are an absolute credit to nurseries and early years education. My little boy doesn't stop talking about nursery, in the short time that he's been there his development has been nothing short of phenomenal and Orchidale play a huge part in this, I could not recommend anyone more. My child

is excited for nursery every day even when he's not there and three staff members' names are constant names in my day-to-day life, he loves nursery but he loves the people who look after him and help him thrive even more. If you're looking for a nursery you can trust and that your child will love, this is the one.

My son has been going to Orchidale since he turned 2, he is absolutely thriving and I can't thank one staff member in the Robins room enough. She has helped my son settle in from day one, and helped him thrive since. The staff member is so kind, caring and my son is just super happy in her company.

All the ladies in the robins room have helped my son massively. Just a big shout-out to three of them in particular. Thank you!

Overall Experience

Our daughter started here in September 2023 and we could not have chosen a better place to send her. They have visitors to the nursery or go on visits nearly every week from going to the local care home or alpacas coming to visit. She is experiencing something new every week.
The nursery itself is

a fantastic environment for play but also to learn skills and risk-taking. They do cooking club, woodwork, growing vegetables and even have chickens they help look after.
The staff are wonderful, knowledgeable and approachable. They are available to have a chat if your child needs support with anything.
Our daughter comes home filthy but this means she has had the best day and to be honest we would be worried if she was clean!

As a very anxious and worried first-time mum leaving their child at nursery for the first time. I can't thank Orchidale and the staff enough. Not only did they put my mind at rest that my son is safe, happy and thriving they also allowed me to develop as a mum and often realise things I was going through

My daughter has attended Orchidale from 1 years old and it's the best choice we made for her. She settled in so well early on and has had a wonderful journey. All the staff are so caring and supportive and put on a wide range of activities throughout the day which makes for a wonderful experience every

day she attends, building confidence and curiosity every time. The forest school and outdoor play with friends is so great for her to experience regularly. She is excited to start school but we will be sad to leave! We definitely recommend Orchidale Nursery.

We absolutely love Orchidale! Trusting your children with people can be hard, but all the staff are just wonderful and make it feel so easy knowing that they are safe, well cared for and having tons of fun!
Our son has been at Orchidale for over 2 years and our daughter started at the end of 2023.

Both have had the same lady as their first key person and we couldn't have been happier. Her calm and caring approach has meant both settled into nursery very happily! Our son is now in pre-school and has a lovely lady as his key person, who again we are very chuffed about. As our son who struggles with hypermobility, has been nurtured and helped to grow in his own time. Plus he always comes home with a massive smile having had a lot of fun with her! The enhanced provisions have seen them raising ducks from eggs, meeting firefighters, puppet shows to name a few. Throw in all the outdoor play, reading, woodworking etc, I honestly don't know how they fit so much into the day but they do and it's incredible!

My child has been attending Orchidale since they were 2 years old starting in the toddler room. They have now moved to the 3-5 pre-schoolers and this consists of an outdoor area. Having viewed various nursery settings we chose Orchidale based on their fantastic outdoor pre-school area, knowing our child

loves being outside. I am continuously amazed and impressed by Orchidale’s outdoor facilities. The opportunities for learning and playing are so rich here. The staff are absolutely fantastic, I can’t fault them. The homemade menu rotates and always sounds so delicious, it’s great knowing they are getting nutritious homemade food and you don’t have to send them in with any food on nursery days. The extra provisions my child has done include getting on the minibus to their forest school, going for walks to the local shop and charity shop, getting in the minibus to the pumpkin farm at Halloween, again such lovely opportunities.

Our daughter is thriving at Orchidale. She only goes two days a week but obviously enjoys her time there. Her key workers is amazing, as are the team. The activities that are planned each week really tap into her imagination and creativity. Our only concern is when she has a sore bottom, we understand

it's not always possible to change her nappy straight away and the team does as much as they can to prevent it but it can be very sore. We were really appreciative that you changed to using non-perfumed wipes because of this.

Overall Experience

We love Orchidale. It is a safe, homely fun nursery with a great indoor and outdoor space.
Our daughter thrives in the preschool area and has made some wonderful connections with both other children and staff she spends her time with. So much thought goes into activities planned incorporating the

seasonal surroundings which we can then carry on at home. She comes home fulfilled and full of stories which as a parent is really satisfying.
The location and all the effort that goes into keeping the nursery interesting for the children is a great asset too.
The food at the nursery is impressive, with a broad range of homemade healthy food, As parents we receive a seasonal menu showing what she’ll be eating which is great.
In summary, Orchidale is helping build a well-rounded happy child. It’s always a pleasure taking her in and catching up with staff who are both professional, friendly and approachable at pick up and drop off as well as when we have a question with those in the office.

My child loves attending Orchidale Nursery and as a parent I couldn't be happier with our experiences. The key person that our daughter is aligned to is a superstar from a parent's perspective and our child's, I know that as she refers to them as her best friend, sings songs about them when at home

and genuinely loves going to nursery.
I am really pleased we've used Orchidale as our nursery and I couldn't reasonably ask for a better experience. Thank you.
