Overall Experience

My 2 year old settled straight into nursery after being so warmly welcomed by the whole team. We both benefited from the settling in sessions, I loved going into the nursery setting, seeing all children in the room happy and looked after. My son always comes out so happy and full of stories about what

him and his teachers and friends have been up to.

Overall Experience

My children (22 months and 8 months) both go to this setting and thoroughly enjoy being there. Both of my children have settled in very well and my eldest expresses that he looks forward to going to nursery in the mornings. The staff are always very attentive and you can see how much they care for the

children's learning and enjoyment.
I look forward to hearing all that they get up to in the day and never have any concerns going to work knowing that they are being looked after and learning lots.

Overall Experience

Our first child went to Colourbox in 2018 and had a great experience. Unfortunately, a number of changes since then ultimately meant we had to move our second child elsewhere. (1) Staff at handovers often knew no details of her day, and new staff members seemed uninformed on her needs. (2) The app used

by the nursery for update was inconsistently updated, and often lacked details and/or was days late. (3) Items of clothing got lost (virtually every week). (4) The intercom for drop-off/pick-up was broken a lot of the time (great fun in the rain). (5) When our child was injured, staff rang an old number we'd asked to have removed 5 years prior, instead of us. The fight we went through to get any kind of explanation or apology after the last issue led us to move to another nursery. To give credit where it's due, the room leaders are excellent and tried to find workarounds for problems. However, overall I would not recommend Colourbox under its current management structure.

Our twin daughters have been attending Colourbox since they were one year old & we cannot speak highly enough of the care & education they have received.
From the first day, our initial worries about leaving our little ones in unfamiliar surroundings were put at ease. The staff has been nothing short

of exceptional, creating a warm & nurturing environment where our daughters have thrived.
The Montessori approach has had a positive impact on their development. We have been amazed by the progress they have made in all areas, from their confidence & independence to their cognitive & social skills.
The Staff's dedication & passion are evident in everything they do. They have gone above & beyond to support our daughters' individual needs & interests, fostering a love of learning that will stay with them.
We are extremely fortunate to have found Colourbox Nursery for our children. We wholeheartedly recommend to any parent seeking an outstanding early years education for their child.

Overall Experience

My daughter has attended Colourbox for nearly 3 years and I can't praise them enough. The Montessori teaching practices, I feel, are crucial to children and teach them how to be independent, thoughtful and respectful of everything and everyone. My daughter has certainly succeeded in all these areas

whilst at Colourbox with the help of the outstanding teachers she's had from the beginning of her journey.
The teachers in the preschool room, where my daughter currently is, are amazing. She comes away with such knowledge and passion for the areas in which she is being taught during her time at the nursery.
The food is high quality and my daughter eats 2 lots of everything! It's fully nutritious and I never worry about her eating there!
Can't recommend the nursery highly enough and will miss them all when my daughter leaves for school next year.

Our daughter gladly walks into nursery each session which is always a positive and lets us know that we have made the right choice with our nursery. She loves the business of being around other children and is thriving. She loves each member of staff and will happily give them a hug at drop-off.

Colourbox Nursery is a wonderful place for young children, there is intentional learning opportunities and experiences with so much thought and care. We couldn’t be happier with Colourbox Barrow!
Our son started at ‘The Nest’ when he was 10 months old and since day 1 all of the staff have been caring, helpful and attentive. He has grown in confidence, is more adventurous with his food choices and has a huge smile on his face when he arrives.
I

love the daily updates and photos which give us an insight into his day. My son’s allergies are also catered for brilliantly.
For my son, who finds new situations and settings quite daunting, being in the same room since starting has really helped. He loves spending time outside in their gorgeous garden.

Very happy with Colourbox Montessori School & Forest School Newmarket. Our eldest, in world room, loves country club and loves telling us all about his days there. He also loved the open evening last year where he could show us around country club and show us all the things and activities he does. Really

helped make sense of it all. Our youngest is in the nest and appears to be loving it.

Overall Experience

Extremely happy to have my little one at the 'Nest' of Colourbox Red Lodge. The staff is warm and well-trained, and truly helped my child to settle in. Parents are kept well informed about the food menu and daily activities. The nursery is well equipped inside and outside with plenty of Montessorian

toys for little ones to explore throughout the day. The separate sleeping area is inviting and cozy.

I highly recommend this nursery to anyone in the area!
My daughter was at Colourbox Barrow for 2 years, from age 1. They gave her the absolute best start to life and her education. The staff are all amazing and cared for her with love and got to know her. They expanded her knowledge in every aspect

of her learning.
The staff have a great understanding of the Montessori method and I truly believe she would not be the confident little girl she is now without their support.
If we hadn’t moved house she would still be there without doubt.
The staff are amazing and my daughter developed a real love for the nursery. We are so sad to leave.

My daughter has been going to Colourbox since she was 8 months old, and I am so thankful for everything they are doing there for the kids. She is a super confident and very clever girl, and I am sure this is due to their amazing staff and their knowledge. She loves the Country club very much, but it

is a shame they don't spend much time there and not just one day a week. There have been a few good occasions when they had to cancel the class due to short staff, and they haven't offered us another day to compensate with the one she missed.
The communication and updates on the app sometimes are not great. It would be nice to have a more personalised update at the end of each day rather than a general description of how the day has been for everyone. Another remark: There were times when I couldn't find a parking space in the car park at the bottom of the site, and the Academy gate was closed due to school holidays, so I had to park on a curb causing a massive argument with the residents.

We know how much parents and children love our Country Club forest school, so over the spring and summer months, we make sure the children get more Country Club days, and we invite parents to come along and get involved too. The children also have free-flow gardens/outdoor learning areas outside their classrooms, so when they're not at Country Club they have access to learning outside the classroom always. With regards to the app we use, this is an addition to the communications that occur during a child's day with us, and we train our staff to give thorough handovers rather than relying on the app to speak for them. The diaries are also a 'snapshot story' of the children's day at nursery and all the lovely things they've learned, as we expect our staff to spend time with the children teaching and learning rather than constantly uploading information onto an iPad. We thank you for your feedback and promise to reflect on your points made.

Very happy with the progress of my child at the nursery. She interacts so very well with children and adults alike. She is very advanced with speech and communication which we put down a great amount to the support and care that’s given at Colourbox. She is very independent and confident in so many

Overall Experience

I've had three children through Colourbox Montessori School. My youngest finishes this August for school. I have nothing but high recommendations for this setting. The staff are great, the children always come out happy. The staff always seem happy and chirpy. They've been amazing from 2013 to now.

The way they work hasn't changed. So what my oldest learnt through them has been taught to my youngest, even with changes to policies. I love the daily update on the app so you can see what they've been up to when there. Five stars really isn't enough. Keep up the good work.

Overall Experience

The environment nurtures independent play while still allowing any and every opportunity for social play as well. My daughter's vocabulary has expanded so much during her time at the school and she is always so excited to go, learn and play. The staff are excellent. They are patient, gentle and communicate

well with me after every session about my daughter's day. I don't feel any anxiety about bringing her to school because I know she is properly cared for.

Staff here have been absolutely incredible throughout our journey here from September 2023 to present. My son is neurodivergent and staff have gone above and beyond to accommodate him and have been supportive of all observations/hospital appointments. They have quickly put into place any recommendations

from medical professionals, as well as always being willing to write any of their own observations down on paper for me when needed as evidence. When my son was first diagnosed with one of his medical conditions, it was something staff hadn’t come across before (it’s also something most medical professionals haven’t come across before). However, they quickly did research into the condition so they were better able to understand and care for him. If I ever have a query, concern or request, I get a quick and thorough reply to my emails. I am so very grateful for all they do and would highly recommend them to anyone in the area looking for childcare.

Overall Experience

A truly amazing environment for children to grow and learn in.
All 3 of my children have attended Colourbox, one now at school, one in Ocean Room and the other in Sky.
I have witnessed the teachers at Colourbox support, guide and develop my children to be independent, kind and self-motivated. The

whole ethos of Colourbox is child-led learning. They help to foster interest in different topics which has sparked my children to understand a broad range of subjects.
They did a great job in preparing my eldest for school, ensuring she had the ability to manage the transition well and hit the ground running.
They are well-trained and have the skills to manage all situations. They worked proactively with us to manage a medical condition in our youngest child and make suitable adjustments.
In summary a very positive environment, with friendly and engaged staff who care so much.
What a great environment to start your children's lifelong education in.

The staff there are amazing. My son loves going to school, all the staff are friendly, they are very patient. All the children come out happy each time that I am picking up my son. My son is always chatting about the activities he did while he was there. He loves the cookies they made for Valentine's

Day.
He always gets a lot of cuddles from his teacher.
