Overall Experience

My daughter has been with the nursery since October 2024, so far it's been a great experience for all of us. We love the events the nursery does for children, parents/guardians and carers, it brings everyone together and we all get to know each other much better. When I tell my other parent friends

the things that my daughter does at nursery, I hear a lot of "we don't have this or that at our nursery". We get daily updates on how my daughter is eating, what the room of children have been doing for the day and get to know what observations have been of my daughter while at nursery. I know the demand for nursery admissions are quite high, so we feel quite privileged we have a place at Blue Butterfly. I hope my daughter continues to thrive here. Whenever we do the drop offs, there's always a sense of happiness coming from the children, parents/guardians and staff, it feels great to be part of this nursery community and hope this continues.

Overall Experience

We couldn't be happier with the care and nurturing environment provided by this nursery. My child has been attending for over a year now and it's been amazing to see her grow and learn new things every day. She is always happy and well looked after when she comes home, which speaks volumes about the

dedication and attentiveness of the teachers. The staff are incredibly caring and provide a stimulating and engaging environment for the children. They support learning in creative ways.
The nursery itself is spotless and well-maintained and the meals they provide are nutritious and balanced. I really appreciate the effort they put into involving parents in celebrating events and encouraging parents to be involved.
I highly recommend this nursery to any parent looking for a safe, supportive and nurturing space for their child. Thank you to all the wonderful staff for the amazing work you do!

Overall Experience

Wonderful nursery! We are so sad to be leaving unto pastures new but Blue Butterfly Montessori will hold a special place in our hearts. Our little girl really struggled to settle into nursery but her keyworker and other staff were all so helpful and patient with her and us. She loved nursery in the

end, despite the many tears initially! Such a great range of activities and excellent food - I never needed to worry that she won't be fed well. Brilliant staff and so caring to all the children.

Overall Experience

I cannot recommend this nursery enough. Our son left only because we have moved and him attending this nursery is no longer possible. He has flourished at Blue Butterfly Montessori. All carers are so attentive and took great care of my son. He bonded really well with all caretakers. They teach them

sign language, how to use a spoon and really develop all the skills they need to have as well as encouraging independence. I can only tell the difference as we have now experienced a different setting at the new nursery and I can compare the two. I wish there was a Blue Butterfly in Hitchin!

Overall Experience

My daughter started here aged 1 in early 2021, straight after all the lockdowns. We were worried as she hadn't had as many opportunities to be away from us as her big sister had prior to starting nursery. Blue Butterfly Montessori was amazing, nurturing and caring and she quickly settled in. She has

learned so much in each of her class groups, developed strong bonds with each of her key workers and new friends. Each transition was completed really well and she felt prepared at each stage. The activities that staff in Blue Butterfly carry out through the day, as well as all the extracurricular activities, have well and truly prepared her for big school. Overall Experience

Overall Experience

My daughter has always felt so secure and confident at the nursery, she loves going in every day and she feels very loved by the staff there. It is comforting to know that she is in a place that really cares about her. The staff go out of their way to make the children feel safe and welcome. I feel

like the staff at every stage have always tried to have a personal connection with my daughter and it's really showed in her attitude towards going in every morning. I appreciate that the nursery also really focused on her learning her numbers and letters and advancing her writing and reading skills, they've also taught her how to use her manners and she's really soaked up the nursery's golden rules for behaviours. She will really miss her comfort zone of nursery and we appreciate everything the nursery has done for her.

Overall Experience

Our son loves this school - from the teachers to the students to the challenging curriculum. The teachers are passionate about seeing their pupils succeed. They always share moments of pride they see within our child - his good behaviour and achievements. The school offers nutritious meals in good portion

sizes. Our son enjoys the food and talks about it at home.
This is indeed a second home for our son.

Overall Experience

Blue Butterfly Montessori (Stanmore) was our first choice when looking for nurseries.
My son has been going for four months now and is thriving in all areas. The teachers are all accredited and able to deal with any situation that may occur.
When collecting my son at the end of the day, we are greeted

by one of the teachers who happily tells us what he has got up to and where he has excelled that day or what needs a bit of work.
They are happy to work alongside us in the growth and development of my son and of all the children who attend.
The app is great in keeping you informed throughout the day on how much they have eaten, nappy changes and so on.
I would highly recommend this Montessori to anyone looking.

Overall Experience

We started at Blue Butterfly Montessori (Stanmore) in January, earlier this year. As my son transferred from another nursery, the change really unsettled him at first and the management team were really helpful with this transition, supporting both us, as parents, and my son through this difficult period.

He soon settled in and now loves his new routine at the nursery. The staff are friendly, approachable, kind and caring and really take an active approach in ensuring the children are well looked after and their learning needs. They provide regular feedback on your child's progress in form of in-the-moment feedback and at quarterly parents' evenings. The nursery is purpose-built and they give particular attention to hygiene and cleanliness. The menu has a good variety too. Also, my son particularly enjoys activities provided by external companies.

My child started at Blue Butterfly Montessori in August 2023. Since starting my child has become independent in many aspects. The care my child receives is amazing. She comes home and loves talking about the nursery, her friends, and all her teachers. Both academically, socially, and emotionally, my

Overall Experience

We have been with Blue Butterfly Montessori since June 2018. As my children transferred from the Pinner branch to the Stanmore branch this is credit to the Blue Butterfly Method as a whole.
My two children have had the best possible start in life with Blue Butterfly. The Nursery always looks presentable

and clean! The designated sensory room and library gave my youngest and opportunity to break away from the classroom.
The app allowed me to keep my family life organised and helped me feel like I was part of their day. It was hard to have my children in nursery full time, but the nursery and its systems and staff made me feel so involved that I could talk to my children about their day and the specifics!
The kitchen do a fantastic job! With my children being meat eaters, a vegetarian menu encouraged a balanced diet. I could see for myself how well my children ate when I attended the stay-and-play, and a dining event.
I would strongly recommend this nursery!

It's a very expensive nursery for what it offers, and they keep increasing the price. The key workers are really good but staff turnover is so high that it's very unsettling for children. The office staff don't deal with concerns in an appropriate and empathetic manner. Portion sizes of the food are

tiny.

We are very sorry to hear these concerns especially as your child currently attends our nursery. In relation to the fee increases, these have not been increased since January 21, unfortunately, the cost of living has hit both families and businesses hard. We are a growing nursery and therefore constantly recruiting, staff retention is very good and staff receive good remuneration and benefits. This has also contributed to the fee increase. Management has an open door policy and we are contactable through email and in person whenever needed, there is nothing too small for us to deal with. Our portion sizes follow national guidance and there is the option for seconds. Children self-serve their food as independence is encouraged. We are sorry that you feel your journey so far has not been to your expectation, however, we are confident that moving forward we can work closely together and rebuild your trust. Overall Experience

I highly recommend this nursery. My daughter has been attending Blue Butterfly for about 8 months now and she has thrived. I was a little concerned when she started as she was and still is at home a fussy eater, however at nursery the staff have been so supportive and now she loves meals at nursery.

All practitioners provide high-quality care and education for my little one, she cries every day that she wants to go back into nursery. The nursery has high security and cross-checks with staff and everyone who enters the nursery. It puts my mind at ease that she is in a safe nurturing environment with people that put children’s care first!

My son has been at Blue Butterfly Montessori Day Nursery since he was 1 year old. From the very first day, I have felt assured he has been taken care of with the utmost care and attention. Via the app, we get regular updates on his well-being. His personal development has been inline with what we expect

with a high-calibre nursery. The staff from yellow to green and finally to blue have been amazing in tandem with the admin and management teams.

I highly recommend this nursery, my son had previously been with another nursery which I wasn’t happy with. I wish I had sent my son to Blue Butterfly from the start, he has really flourished at this nursery! The management team at the nursery are very good, the nursery and all the activities are very

well organised. I feel that management and the teachers exercise so much compassion and warmth in all their dealings with the children. The teachers I have been so impressed with, they are so good with the children and so caring! I am also very impressed by the daily updates on the nursery app, which include regular observations on your child.
The nursery teachers have also always supported me in the development of my son which included potty training, cutting out my son’s nap and always giving helpful tips!
