Overall Experience

My daughter started Owl and Bear after having a bad experience at another nursery and I was very worried she wouldn't settle, however when picking her up after her first day it was like I picked up another child. She came skipping out smiling and excited to go back the next day! It has been the same

ever since! The staff are all very attentive and treat all children as individuals knowing their needs and are very interactive with them. There is a family feel within the nursery and they make my daughter feel safe and loved. The communication is fantastic and the manager is brilliant in supporting parents and the children with any queries. The staff give clear handovers when I collect my daughter including what she's done and what she's eaten and photos are uploaded regularly to the learning journals so I can see what she has been up to. I highly recommend this nursery and only wish I put my daughter in right from the start.

Overall Experience

We have been at Owl & Bear since Sept 2022. One of our kids is now at school and the other is still thriving at this nursery. The premises are amazing, the children are loved and fully supported by each member of the staff. They plan multiple different activities throughout the day and we receive regular

updates and pictures. They also have pets and animals which is not so common. We are grateful to all the staff for their passion and our kids are always enthusiastic about their day at nursery.

Overall Experience

Our son has been going to Owl and Bear since 2022. Being a lockdown baby he struggled to leave us at first, however it didn’t take long for him to settle due to the caring and great staff and key workers. He thoroughly enjoys going to preschool at O and B. They are always doing different learning activities

and keeping us parents informed on the app which is lovely to see. My son especially loves the big garden space that they have. They have been or are planning on a few lovely trips too. Thank you O and B.

I cannot rate this nursery enough, staffing and management are both very engaging, helpful, caring and supportive. My daughter started here Oct 2022 not long after they opened and I cannot believe how much she has developed, her own character just makes me and my husband laugh. She goes in happily and

walks out happy, telling me about her day with friends (this includes the staff and management).

Overall Experience

Our first contact with Owl & Bear was a little more than 2 years ago when we transferred from another nursery that was not providing adequate care to our child. We felt very welcomed by the staff there and every time we raised a concern, we saw it taken care of. The staff and management gained and still

have our full confidence, so much so that earlier this year we enrolled our second child. Our older one has developed very well in all aspects in their care. On the way back home, he will always talk about his group of friends and the activities they had during the day. Recently, he is even re-playing them at home with us. Our younger one is following on the older's footsteps and we are already seeing developments since he was first enrolled, mainly on his fine motor skills. But we can also see how he is developing both his language and social skills. All and all we are very happy with the environment and services provided by Owl & Bear and are happy to recommend them to our friends.

Overall Experience

Both of my sons attend O&B Daycare in Eltham, one since 2022, and my children happily part from me every morning with smiles on their faces. The staff are fantastic and you can tell they genuinely care about the children; they are interested in their development and they understand each child's individual

needs. The daily activities are always fun, interesting and educational and I am always kept up to date with what they have been learning about, the book of the month/week and other items. The range of food they offer is great and the app is updated after every meal so I can check what they have eaten. The manager is extremely approachable and always welcomes feedback or chats with the parents. They strive to create a beautiful space for the children and get the best out of amazing facilities they have to offer. The garden is fantastic and my boys love being out there. Overall my children are safe, cared for, looked after and given all the help and assistance to develop well.

Overall Experience

We have 2 children at O&B, both are extremely happy and are developing well. The nursery is a spacious setting and has an unbelievable garden, with lots of playing facilities and a chicken hutch. The staff in general and our children’s key workers are absolutely fantastic, our children have a real connection

with them, providing us with extra comfort that they are in the right place. An outstanding nursery, which I would encourage to any potential applicants.

Overall Experience

My son started at Owl & Bear in September 2023, from his first settling-in session he has absolutely loved it.
He attends one and a half days a week at the moment and I’m hoping to increase this when he gets his funding next year.
All the staff are so lovely and spend time telling me about his day

and what he’s been up to. My son is very fussy with food and the staff noticed this on his first day and suggested we send him with a little packed lunch for them to give him after trying him with their food. They take a real interest in his interests and always provide toys for him that they know he likes.
I love seeing what he has been up to on the app too.
Since starting nursery, his speech has come on so much and he’s saying more and more each day.
He gets so excited coming to nursery and often doesn’t want to leave. He loves when he drives past the nursery and shouts to me, pointing it out and waving.
I really couldn’t be happier with our experience and would 100% recommend to other parents.

Overall Experience

I sent my 2-year-old son there. Last week he came home with scars under his eye, nose and face. Dad picked him up at 6.30 pm and they never explained to him or me (mum) where those bruises on my 2-year-old son came from and I have pics to prove it. I immediately sent an email and until today, they couldn’t

give me an explanation as to how my son got them from. I started having bad feelings about the nursery from the day my son started holding my neck and would say ”no” as we always approached the nursery door but just kept it to myself. Yesterday I decided to take my son out of there and into another nursery and he’s very happy there.

This review is very disappointing as your child absolutely loved nursery and used to cry when he left, you even pointed this out yourself one day as you walked past the garden.
A member of the public also contacted us and identified how your son cried as he left the nursery!
All accidental injuries that occur at the nursery are documented correctly and parents are informed.
Safeguarding – we obviously take extremely seriously, and the children are our priority – sadly when we do take the correct action this can lead to children being removed from our setting and reviews written that are not reflective of the service we offer, something we are unable to prevent.

Overall Experience

My son has been attending Owl and Bear nursery for over a year and a half, and I can't speak highly enough of them. As a teacher myself, I am keen for my son to learn and develop his education as well as social skills. The staff are very supportive and challenge the children through play.
The staff

are very kind and make time for each child individually and as a group. They have helped my son in areas where he has struggled and has also made referrals to help him get the extra help he needed in key areas of his development.
I would have no hesitation in trusting the staff here to care for my son. He is very happy there.

Overall Experience

The Owl & Bear nursery in Walderslade have been fantastic helping my child settle into nursery life. The staff are friendly, helpful and go that extra mile. My child confidence has grown so much since going to Owl & Bear she has also come on leaps and bounds with her speech, learning new things everyday.

She enjoys going in on her days and the garden area they have is large and full of different outdoor equipment, it was the main reason I picked it and she loves being outside. I have and will keep recommending Owl & Bear.

I recently began sending my son to Owl & Bear and could not be happier. We had some issues with his previous nursery not being able to meet his needs and after talking with the nursery manager I felt confident this was a better fit. All my expectations have been exceeded. Staff are amazing and go above

Overall Experience

Our son has been attending Owl & Bear Daycare Eltham 3 days a week since October 2021. Having been born during the lockdowns and not having spent time away from me and my husband, I was concerned about how he would settle in to nursery. The staff were fantastic at welcoming him and helping him to settle,

and supporting us as a whole family through this transition. My son now has a smile on his face when we arrive at nursery and gets involved in lots of activities while he’s there. We love receiving updates and photos via the app about what he has been doing. The staff are friendly and really care about the children, supporting their development in many ways. They are always happy to chat and support things that we are doing at home to ensure consistency - for example with our approach to potty training. Choosing a nursery is a big decision, especially as first-time parents, and we’re honestly so pleased we chose Owl & Bear and that our son loves it there!

Overall Experience

My son started Owl & Bear - Eltham Daycare in November 2 days a week, after him only being looked after by family members he found it very hard settling in. With the help of the staff, he is now starting to settle in and enjoying being at nursery. They have an amazing garden which my son loves.
We

get daily updates with activities they have been doing throughout the day, which is nice to see.
Definitely would recommend Owl & Bear.
