Overall Experience

I could not recommend The Old School House at Middleton enough. My daughter absolutely loves it there, and has developed so well. The team could not have done more to get her settled and adapted into nursery life at the outset, and provided such amazing care to help her transition. They have also done

this as she's moved up age groups too. Their days are filled with a rich range of activities, with lots of outdoor time especially in the warmer months. They also include a good range of extra curricular activities and the daily menu is always nutritious and well balanced. We've been really impressed with the running of the nursery, organisation and management and feel really well informed. I am so glad that we chose this nursery and very highly recommend.

Overall Experience

Absolutely brilliant nursery! Our son took a little longer to settle in and all the staff at the Old School House Walmley made every effort into ensuring that his transition was as smooth as possible. From an increased number of settle sessions to allowing me to come in on those sessions so they weren't

too prolonged all made a real difference. Not every nursery will do this as we found with our older daughter. The communication from this nursery is outstanding. We always know how our sons day has been through an easy to use app and any messages are easily sent and received, nothing seems too much. They have a wonderful outside area for the children to enjoy as well as fun and engaging themes and topics each week. The nursery is also kept very clean from what I've noticed. I can't recommend this nursery enough, my son loves it there!

A fantastic nursery - Highly recommend! We couldn't be happier with The Old School House. Our daughter has absolutely thrived since joining - her confidence has grown so much, and she comes home chatting about all the fun things she's done each day. The staff are amazing, so warm and caring, and they

really take the time to get to know each child. One thing we love is how well they eat! The food is always fresh and nutritious, and it's great to see our little one trying new things and enjoying mealtimes. We've been so impressed that we're already planning to send our next child here too. A big thank you to the whole team for creating such a lovely environment - we couldn't ask for more!

Overall Experience

My child started The Old School House Nursery Whittington at 7 months old. I was nervous to send my child to nursery (as most parents are) but within the first few days I knew I would love this nursery for my child, and I still do 7 months later. The staff are a credit to the nursery. They uphold a

high level of care, keeping me informed on the app and staying on top of formalities but it does not in any way take away from the personal touch and the love they show towards my child, so it truly feels like the best of both worlds. The building itself is the best I've seen, inside and out. The children are always doing different activities which has improved my child's confidence and continues to do so. They also provide varied and nutritious meals every day. Management have been very open to listen to my suggestions as a parent which is important. I would recommend this nursery to everyone and thank the staff for their hard work and their invaluable contribution to my child's development!

My son has been attending The Old School House Whittington for just over a year now. Whilst in their care, my son has flourished beyond belief. My child requires specialist attention due to having autism and requiring extra care.
It was and always has been a fear of mine being able to comfortably

and safely leave my child in someone's care that isn't my own! All of the staff and management have made this the easiest experience for myself and my little boy! He adores all his staff and you can clearly see they also adore all of the children in their care. All of the staff do truly create such a loving, warm environment for the children. Not only do they create this for the children but also their parents/families too. The care provided is second to none and I cannot thank them enough for all they've done and all they continue to do! Each and every member of staff is worth their weight in gold! Thanks girls- we'd be lost without you.

Overall Experience

We would highly recommend The Old School House Nursery. Since starting last year, our little boy's development has come on leaps and bounds. Especially his speech and social skills. The staff are always very kind and take the time to talk to you. The meals and snacks are always very healthy and filling.

The resources in the room are all age-appropriate and kept in very good condition. Our little boy comes home from nursery with a big smile on his face telling us the activities he has done that day.

A warm, welcoming, nurturing environment the moment I stepped into the nursery with my son. A beautiful nursery with staff who go above and beyond to look after my son. They have allowed my son to reach all of his developmental milestones through the most imaginative and creative activities that my

son absolutely loves to be involved in. Overall Experience

My 1-year-old daughter started at nursery with some easing in sessions, of which the staff were very helpful and accommodating, with always what was best for my daughter in mind. All of the staff are incredibly professional and amazingly patient. After a month of being at nursery, my daughter has formed

a great bond with the staff, especially her key person and is really starting to show her development not just at home but at nursery too. The environment for the children to play in is also very good with a range of toys, sensory tools, etc. which also seems to be rotated frequently to keep all the children happy. I really appreciate and enjoy the time taken by the staff to post messages and posts via the app to let me know how my daughter is doing and what she has eaten throughout the day, each message and post is personalised and makes my day to see. Thank you to all the amazing staff!

Amazing nursery! We went to an open day in April 2024 and were told our daughter got free hours and could start within the next two months. The staff are all so welcoming and supportive. Nothing is ever too much trouble. My daughter asks every day if she can go to nursery and always asks for two staff

members in particular. The activities the nursery provides are great for my daughter, she comes home and shows me her yoga and wants to help with cooking. She has come so far since joining The Old School House in Walmley. You're all great. Thank you for everything you do for my daughter.

My son started at Middleton in May in the Robins room. I was really nervous and anxious about leaving him due to another nursery not providing the right care for him but the settling-in sessions really helped. I was sent lots of photos of his settle sessions and I still am sent photos of him now during

the day. The staff know my little boy inside out and knows when he isn't himself etc, it feels like an addition to our family. I am kept up to date on his progress and have 1 observation a week (he attends 2 full days). The app is always kept up to date so I know how he's eaten and slept that day. Whenever I drop my son off the staff are always smiley and friendly which he responds to with big smiles. It really helps that transition more for me being an anxious parent. I just want my little boy happy and I know he really is at this nursery!

Overall Experience

Since my little one has started in June 2024 I could not be happier with this nursery. All the staff are very welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. They take time to explain things and listen to anything you have to report about your little one. My child has made excellent bonds with the staff

as they are so caring and warm towards the children. The environment is always clean and the resources the children use are well looked after. They have a wide range of activities and toys available for the children and follow their lead with learning and playing. My child loves being at nursery and always comes out with a smile!

This nursery goes above and beyond for every child who attends. The staff are welcoming, friendly, attentive and caring and offer the best possible care. I love the app as it means you can check in on how your child is doing and staff always respond to messages on there. The children are given amazing

play opportunities every single day and the staff work hard to plan such lovely activities - the teddy bear picnic from the other week was brilliant! I love how they offer parents stay-and-play opportunities as well as parents evenings and they also treat us to breakfast on the go! I wouldn't want my daughter to go anywhere else!

Overall Experience

After a fabulous experience at the a different nursery with my daughter a few years ago, I was thrilled to learn the Whittington Nursery was opening, which is closer to home.
My son started in January this year and settled straight in. From his first settle in session, I had a warming feeling that

the staff truly do care about the children and form such lovely bonds.
After just a few months of starting nursery, my son needed an unplanned operation and required a couple of months away to recover. The staff were incredibly supportive and we received messages and a very sweet handmade card from the children in his group.
My son was welcomed back with open arms, he has now been back at nursery for 3 weeks and is absolutely thriving. He's back to his normal happy self and it amazes me how much he's learning there.
The staff there are one of a kind, very professional and extremely caring.
Highly recommend Old School House Whittington to any age range.

We're so happy we chose The Old School House! It was so daunting looking around the local nurseries and making a decision but for us, this nursery stood out from the rest and it really hasn't disappointed, only exceeded our expectations. The manager is so welcoming and helpful, and the team here are

great and just so caring. Our son has been going since he was 10 months old, we've been so impressed with the activities, stay-and-play events and the nice little touches the nursery put on for the parents as well. The app they communicate with you on is amazing, so easy to use and check in on your child throughout the day whilst they are at nursery, it really gives you peace of mind. We get progress updates on our son and they really are a joy to read and hear all about how well he is learning and developing. All thanks to the wonderful team at The Old School House.

I cannot fault the service and care provided to us by The Old School House Walmley. As an educator myself, I was very particular about where I would send my child. Their approach to learning not only fosters independence but creates a calm environment that I felt comfortable sending my child to when

he started at just 10 months old. They really use the children's interests to further their learning and I have been so impressed at how my child has developed through song since being there.

These guys have been absolutely amazing with my little boy. He was very shy and nervous and reluctant to leave my side and struggled with the settle in sessions but the staff were so good with him. Caring for him and making him feel safe all while keeping me updated throughout. He is now thriving and

walks in happy and excited to be there. His speech and confidence have come on in leaps and bounds and it’s lovely to see how happy he is there. The rooms are beautiful and always have lovely activities set out for the kids plus an amazing outdoor space and a variety of nutritious food. I am always kept in the loop with updates daily and weekly regarding his progress and what he’s been up to. I couldn’t recommend this nursery enough and I am so glad I chose it to send my little boy to.

Astounded by this nursery and how it goes above and beyond for the children (and the parents!).
The Nursery Manager is a bundle of positivity, and her warmth and pure joy are completely infectious. She always greets us with such enthusiasm - arriving at nursery feels like arriving home!
Every special

activity put on for the children is created with extra special care and attention - from decorating for Valentine's Day to turning the rooms into scenes from a favorite English children's book writer for World Book Day (loved the cave!), to having a petting zoo for the Easter stay and play!
I feel so lucky to be near such an incredible nursery. Every childcare worker we've encountered in robins and hedgehogs rooms so far has been better than we could have wished for - bright, engaged, and caring. They work so hard to create such a beautiful and nurturing environment.
I can't recommend Old School House Nurseries enough. They are worth every penny.
