Little Explorers is a Grade 2 nursery, that provides childcare for children aged birth to 11 years, through its nursery, breakfast, after school and holiday clubs.

Situated in the knowledge quarter of Liverpool’s busy city centre, the nursery is accessible by car, bus and train. An ample car park means that there is no rush when dropping off or picking up.

With a holistic approach to child development, staff ensure that children are encouraged and supported to develop as a 'whole person' with varied interests and respect for others and their different backgrounds.

The menu is vegetarian and is cooked daily by the cook on-site. Children can bring in a packed lunch if preferred or lunches can be bought on a daily basis.

The children's play area is secure and wraps around three sides of the building offering excellent physical play and creative opportunities, especially in the mud kitchen. There are planting beds, giving children the experience of growing their own food and then cooking and eating it.

Inside the nursery, physical opportunities come from a range or areas including the large soft play area that is available for all children to use and access each week. Quieter time may also be enjoyed within the sensory room, with calming lights, must and natural malleable materials.   

Little Explorers offers a safe, supportive, caring, interesting and fun environment. The service prides itself on its cultural diversity, with children attending from around the world, as their parent's study or work at the nearby universities and businesses.

Staff are qualified to various levels from degrees in early years education right down to staff starting a career in childcare undertaking Level 2 qualifications.

I honestly feel like we have become part of the kind, nurturing family at Little Explorers.
Always greeted with a smile and no question is too difficult for them to answer!
Every staff member I have spoken to takes a genuine interest in my child and their learning and nothing is "too much". Staff
always take the time to provide updates at the end of the day.
Lots of tips and tricks to work on at home too which is amazing as my child never stops learning and developing even on his days off. Provides a real sense of continuity and makes transitions much smoother.
The setting is always spotless and a range of activities are on offer in line with the seasons and upcoming events.
Even better I get to watch my child's
Can not recommend this setting and more importantly the delightful staff enough! journey via the online portal making me feel part of the process.

My child loves Little Explorers and so do we! The staff are amazing and the children are so happy and well looked after and they have fun whilst learning - couldn't ask for more from a nursery. Would recommend it to anyone with kids nursery age.

I have to thank all the staff for taking care of my little baby girl, my daughter has speech and language barriers and not long ago started to attend Little Explorers and I'm starting to notice the improvements and the developments in her communication skills. They keep my baby busy with different activities,
her key person designed a list of activities specifically for her condition and I'm very happy with the results. The management is great and everyone is supportive. Overall I'm very satisfied.

I can’t thank the staff at Little Explorers enough for the care and love they have shown my daughter since she started. She is becoming very confident and due to the educational activities, she is coming on with her development as well. I get detailed explanations on her progress and action plans and
it just goes to show they put their heart into what they do. Everyone is always happy and you can tell my child is always happy to walk into the nursery too. This is really a gem of a nursery and I want to say the manager is amazing for having her eyes on all of the children. This must be hard work so I appreciate you and all the staff.

I don’t know how to express my trust in this nursery. My daughter met her favourite teachers and friends here. She looks forward to going to nursery every day. It’s so much fun for her to learn and play. She learned a lot and evolved from an ignorant child to one who can always help and share with others.
Even though she has already graduated from Little Explorers and now heading to reception, she’s still missing all of her friends and teachers.
My grateful thanks to all the staff members for everything.

I can’t recommend this nursery enough it is a home from home for children they are so loving and caring to the children and go above and beyond for them. My son's key worker is a credit to them. I love how they have tapestry and look forward to getting pictures and updates as the day goes on. It is
so reasonably priced compared to some nurseries, also the nursery is kept immaculate. The food menu is always good too and offers a good range of food and variety for the children. I couldn’t be happier with the level of care my son receives from little explorers and the teaching he receives the amount of people who comment on how intelligent he is and that has all been with help from his nursery also his speech is unbelievable for his age which I do believe also has been helped with nursery.

My daughter started the nursery when she was one and a half years old. She was a very shy child, very wary and attached to us parents because of the lockdown. Thanks to the teachers she managed to love the nursery straight away and every day she is happy to go and we are relaxed. They are all very helpful
and great.

Fabulous one! My son loved every day at Little Explorers. The staff are very friendly, kind and playful. There are various kinds of activities happening in the nursery to keep children engaged. Couldn’t have found a better place for my son.

I had just relocated to the UK when I registered my son to this nursery. The staff are loving, polite and friendly and I had no worries about leaving my baby with them. My son started in the mini room and now he's grown and so confident. He was always eager to go to the nursery. We are so happy to have
encountered this nursery and the staff as a whole. I absolutely recommend this nursery to all. Me and my baby will miss you all and we'll definitely come visiting. Thank you for the beautiful time he had with you.

My daughter started in the mini room from August this year and now have moved to the midi room. She loves going to the nursery. I have no complaints what’s or ever as this nursery is more or less perfect. All the staffs and the manager is really welcoming and so nice. I feel at ease when my child is
there as I know she is well looked after and enjoys all the activities. I would 100% recommend this nursery to anyone.

Little Explorers is a gem of a nursery with wonderful, inclusive and supportive staff and both my children have absolutely thrived under their care. My 5-year-old daughter started at Little Explorers when she was 17 months old and continued in their care for after-school and holiday club. My 2-year-old
boy started when he was 13 months and has absolutely loved every moment of his time with the wonderful staff, he always had the biggest smile each morning at drop-off.


The leadership at Little Explorers is excellent. The manager is brilliant and knows each child very well and cares so much about her staff and she is always striving to improve. The nursery provides a very high standard of care and the nursery is a safe and engaging environment for the children, which is exactly what is needed for these crucial early years.


Both my children have been so happy at Little Explorers and the nursery has shown itself to be the best of the best in terms of the care they provide.

My child has attended Little Explorers for over a year. Staff are confident, understanding, supportive and committed to making the best for each child (and family). I had a breakdown at one point and I wouldn't have got through it without the support from the manager and her team. We will miss you!

My child started at Little Explorers when he was just 3 months old. At first, I was terrified of leaving my baby with people I didn't know. We did visits and met the nursery manager who made me feel like part of the family. Our son has been a Little Explorers for over 12 months now. His key person had
concerns about his development but she worked hard with him each day to encourage him, she also gave us activities to use at home to encourage him too. We worked together and now his key person tells us/shows us photos in his file. He has progressed a lot. My wife and I both feel that the nursery is a safe place for our child, all of the staff members are very welcoming and put safety first. The gardens are amazing for a city centre location and my child enjoys the midi room at the moment. During COVID-19 we didn't return straight away but when we went to visit the nursery we spoke about what was being implemented and everything had been thought of. Little Explorers will always be our UK family.

My daughter has been full time at this nursery since aged six months old.
She has thrived at Little Explorers. There is barely any turnover of staff, there are some workers who have been there for over ten years. My daughter has developed stong bonds with teachers and other children alike. My daughter
is a confident little lady and the nursery have played a large part in her growth and development. She has recently started school and she will go back to Little Explorers for after school and holiday club so that she can keep the connection with her friends and teachers.
Little Explorers provide exceptional childcare and really go the extra mile. My daughter is always happy and the staff really help parents or carers by being a support and guiding them. The team have been exceptionally supportive during COVID and the nursery really are like extended family to the children who they care for. The staff are lovely, professional and I would highly recommend this service.

Little Explorers Day Nursery is an amazing nursery I have two children that currently attend each day, as have my previous children.
I can't thank the team enough, they support my children to develop each day and my son tells me new information each week! The staff look after every need my children
have and me too!
We especially enjoy that they are multicultural and have a vast variety of ethnicities to celebrate and embrace... Something they do with all of the children at every opportunity.
The price, the staff, the manager, the spaces, the gardens, sensory room and soft play are all amazing!
I have only the best words to say about this nursery, you are not making a mistake!

My child has attended Little Explorers day nursery since she was 12 months and she is now nearly two-years-old. She absolutely loves going to nursery and adores two particular members of staff. They are a credit to Little Explorers and both go above and beyond with making a fuss of your child, helping
them to settle and also interacting and learning new things. My child has gone from crawling to running and jumping and is extremely confident in doing so. She also learnt some letters from the alphabet, counting up to six, lots of songs and her vocabulary is great. I feel Little Explorers and the staff have had a great impact on her development. Thank you to the manager and the great staff in both micro and mini rooms.

An absolute gem of the nurseries with absolutely brilliant staff. The activities, child development, learning, playing, literally everything is great here. You literally won't find anything better than this place anywhere near. It's very very clean, the food is good. The manager will help you with any
question and will always keep in mind what your child's preferences are. Thanks for everything.

Little Explorers nursery is the best nursery for us in Liverpool. I want to find a safe and happy place for my 2 year old little boy when I am working.
I contacted many nurseries before and my boy has changed 2 nurseries before coming here. Little Explorers is really a good choice, staff here are
very warm-hearted and patient to kids, they help me to do toilet training and teach my boy English, now my boy can speak some English sentences and sing English songs (we are from China, my boy's native language is not English). Meanwhile, he learns to be polite to other people. We really appreciate their care and help with my boy.
