Buttercups Chalfont Park is set across three historic buildings in beautiful parkland. The newly refurbished Orangery is the home of the under 2s, with lots of space to play, a separate sleep room and a garden to themselves. Also newly refurbished, the Lodge houses 2-3 year olds who have access to two garden areas. Finally, the preschool children enjoy the Pavilion, a purpose-built building filled with light. The Pavilion has a dedicated Montessori area and opens onto a fantastic outdoor space. The preschool children also enjoy regular Forest School sessions and swimming lessons at a nearby school.

At the nursery there is a focus on "learning through play", promoting children's natural sense of curiosity, independence and critical thinking skills. There is also emphasis on a range of teaching approaches, including Montessori and HighScope.

The team of experienced practitioners are well supported throughout their roles, allowing them to be the best educators they can be. This is achieved through regular in-house training programmes and external courses.

The whole team are like a family to us! We are so grateful for the love, energy and attention you give to our children.
Montessori class, yoga, French, karate, football, shakers, food, setting, forest nursery - everything is especially special.

Both of my children are so happy at Buttercups Day Nursery. The staff have been amazing at helping settle them and they have made fantastic progress there. My son has loved the Montessori classroom and his concentration and focus have improved so much.

Both of my daughters attended this nursery from around the time they were one until they went to school. The younger one left last autumn. I would highly recommend Buttercups - both of my girls have developed very well and become much more confident as a result of their time spent there. Thank you to

Buttercups Chalfont has been amazing for us and we would highly recommend the nursery! All of the staff members are highly motivated, enthusiastic and dedicated, creating a happy and caring environment for the children in their care. The nursery adopts a very personalised approach for our two children,
definitely not a 'one size fits all approach' which is enormously refreshing and shows their level of commitment and attention to each child's needs.

I felt happy and confident leaving my 12-month-old in the care of the team at Buttercups at Chalfont Park. The settling process was over 4 days, and by day 3 she went in without any tears. She has only been there 4 weeks and the progress she has made is remarkable, she has gone from baby to toddler!
The feedback you receive from the team on your child's day is spot on. The setting is clean, tidy, and modern, the teachers set up engaging activities daily, and always mark festivals and international occasions with the children. They take care of any specific needs your child has, and address everything with a genuine caring attitude.

I cannot recommend this nursery enough. It's so welcoming and friendly and I feel really lucky that we are part of the Buttercups family. My daughter settled in quickly due to the fantastic staff who truly care about each individual child. At 16 months old she confidently strolls in by herself without
a backwards glance and that's because it's a home-from-home. At pick-up, I always receive an anecdote about her day and initially they see which member of staff your child warms to before they assign her key worker. It's things like this that prove they really are concerned with your child's happiness and well-being. Having seen my son go through the entire nursery, I can say that each room provides the same first-class care. The activities are engaging and varied and my son has learnt so much. He has been challenged where appropriate and nurtured at the same time. The two-way communication is outstanding. His development truly has been a partnership between us and the staff at Buttercups.

Our daughter thoroughly enjoyed her time at preschool and came on leaps and bounds. She is leaving extremely well prepared for school, especially through the varied play and Montessori activities. Would recommend to anyone!

My daughter has only been here for the last seven months and she has come so far because of everything the staff have done for her. Some of the things that have really stood out to us, is the level of care to do with food - we have strict dietary requirements and the nursery has catered to us specifically,
in fact, our daughter is trying new things because of her time there. The staff are very genuine and look after her as if she is their own, it is literally a home away from home. We have no doubt or issue when dropping her off and cannot wait to start her sibling there soon. I am sure he too will learn so much as she has done. She is well ready for her next big transition to primary school because of the wonderful support of the staff in the pavilion, especially two members of staff in particular. The manager of the nursery is so hands-on and so accommodating, it is very special to see her so involved in all the rooms. It's truly the mark of a great space when the head knows every child's name.

My 2 children love this nursery. My youngest was very shy and they worked hard to ‘buddy’ him up and help him make friends. The care and support for the children is exceptional and they have grown in confidence each week. The Montessori is fantastic and the staff will push children to a high level of
learning if appropriate for the child. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this nursery to anybody.

The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable and clearly care for all of the children. They always flag any concerns or things to keep an eye on. The activities are varied and fun with a mix taking place indoors and outdoors. We love seeing the updates at the end of the day to see what they’ve been
up to. They get a wide variety of foods, with dietary requirements catered for. It must be yummy as little one eats it all.

My daughter has been with the nursery for eight months now. She has developed so much and there is always a smile when we drop her off. The staff are amazing and keeps us informed of everything important. They also run great events throughout the year, which parents can attend and play with their children.
Highly recommend this nursery for all ages 0-5 years.

One staff member in particular, always welcomes the children in such a happy, friendly manner each morning. My son always talks about the great activities in the Montessori classroom with that member of staff, they are fun and engaging. We are given a quick update at the end of each day, which is very
helpful to parents and the email with pictures is such a brilliant way for parents to see what they've been up to. Thank you.
