Nursery Rhymes – Stoneygate, Day nursery and Pre-school, is an award-winning Nursery providing outstanding childcare where your child will have the opportunity to experience a wide range of activities in a unique family run home from home setting.

Nursery Rhymes - Stoneygate opened under the group name of Nursery Rhymes - Leicester in 2009 and provides quality day care for babies and children from 6 months – 6 years of age in a safe & secure setting, complemented by the nursery's state-of-the-art authorised door entry system and CCTV.

The unique property, on the exclusive leafy Knighton Grange Road bordering Stoneygate and Oadby, is only a 5-10 minute drive from Leicester City Centre along the main (A6) London Road.

Provisions include ICT, quiet room, art and craft, cooking and gardening, music and movement, French, forest schools, singing and stories, water and sand activities and role play.

Your child will be lovingly cared for by qualified, enthusiastic & dedicated staff in a stimulating environment led by the manager who is NNEB qualified and has 14 years' experience in childcare working with children in day nurseries, family centres and schools.

The majority of the great team have been with the setting for well over 5 years, with many being a part of the "Rhymes team" for over 10 years!

My son has settled from the baby room into the toddler room seamlessly. A particular staff member has been absolutely fabulous and he has such a great rapport with her! He absolutely loves his time at nursery.

My baby has been with Nursery Rhymes - Stoneygate since around September 2024. After visiting various nurseries across Leicester and reading hundreds of reviews for various places, it was a no-brainer to join Nursery Rhymes. Out of all of the places I visited, this one stood out from the crowd!
I was
so apprehensive for my baby to start nursery, but I was made to feel at ease and the transition was almost seamless, which was fantastic. My son has grown even further in confidence and excelling in all areas of development and the team at Nursery Rhymes have been a huge support for my son, me and my partner. My little boy looks forward to going to nursery and has an amazing relationship with all of the staff there. I could not recommend them enough!

Our son has been attending Nursery Rhymes - Stoneygate since he was 9 months old (he's now 2 and a half) and we couldn't be happier with every aspect of care provided.
All members of staff are friendly, enthusiastic and take a genuine interest in his growth and development. The food on offer is healthy
and all specific requirements have been met without any trouble whatsoever. Various other milestones and requests have also been handled with patience and consistency, such as toilet training, health requirements and nap times.
We will soon be sending our daughter without hesitation and would recommend the nursery to anyone looking for a reliable and trustworthy childcare option.

Nursery Rhymes - Stoneygate have been great at helping our baby settle in and thrive. We've noticed great improvements in her gross motor skills since she started as they provide a safe environment to encourage and motivate movement. The staff are all very friendly and the nursery has a real family

The best place for my son! The staff are wonderful and attentive to all needs. The place is super welcoming and loving. I couldn't ask for better. It's more than just a nursery, it's a sweet and welcoming home for my baby. The entire staff are wonderful!

We are so glad we chose Nursery Rhymes for our child! The staff in the baby room have been absolutely amazing. After an initially hesitant start, our child has settled in beautifully, thanks to the warmth and care of the friendly team.
The regular photo updates are such a highlight for us as parents,
letting us see just how happy and engaged our child is. It's wonderful to see them enjoying such a variety of activities, eating delicious home-cooked meals, and napping well.

Excellent nursery, my child is so so happy here. The most caring and nurturing environment. Staff are very warm, compassionate and very attentive and attuned to my child's needs.
It has been great to watch my daughter grow in confidence, we receive comprehensive communication, observations and insights

A nursery/preschool should be a place where you feel confident enough to leave your child in a safe, healthy and happy environment and where you know your child will be looked after by the people working there. This nursery ticked all the boxes for us. From the moment you walk in you can feel a sense
of calm which says a lot about a place with lots of children playing. Our little girl started preschool when she was around 3 and a half years old so we were nervous about her settling in considering she had never been in this sort of environment but she managed to thrive after only a few settling-in sessions. The staff work with you to cater to the needs of your child and you feel your child is in capable and safe hands. After seeing more than 6 or 7 nurseries, we were glad to have chosen Nursery Rhymes for our daughter.

Fantastic nursery and fantastic staff. Great support from our key workers. They have a great approach to play and learning and the team are always willing to support your child in their development. My daughter has learnt so much through her time at Nursery Rhymes and has so many stories and songs to

I cannot express how amazing Nursery Rhymes is and how incredibly nurturing our journey with our daughter has been here. She started in the baby room at 6 months old and seeing her grow and develop as she now starts the transition from the toddler room to preschool is everything we could have hoped
for and more. The staff are incredible and I genuinely feel like it is one big family. We can't wait to see what the next adventure brings!

I am so pleased that we chose this nursery. Me and my husband remember coming to see it and knowing our daughter needed to come here, every child was so happy and that has remained true for every single week that our daughter has been here. The staff are really considerate and take all the hard work
off you. When our daughter started in the baby room all the staff made the transition super easy and gave us thorough updates throughout the day. When the time came for our daughter to move to the toddler room again it was made super easy and she settled really quickly. Her key worker gives us a thorough update over lunchtime with lots of pictures and our daughter is always laughing and having fun, she eats well at the nursery and sleeps well better than what she does at home. Her development has significantly improved and we are always told what the nursery are working on with her and we do the same at home. I can't thank the staff enough!

Baby number two and we are extremely happy with the continued high-quality care from the nursery. The staff are wonderful and it's great to see the same staff members in the toddler room as we had with our eldest, making the drop-offs with baby 2 easier and familiar.
One of the staff has been wonderful
with our baby and the bond they have is lovely.
Very happy with our decision to send our children to Nursery Rhymes.

I am very impressed with the nursery and the assigned key workers. Our child loves going to nursery and looks forward to it every day she is there. I have been pleased with the level of information we get throughout the day and the high level of oversight provided daily. I feel like the key worker really
cares for our child and feel very happy leaving her with them each morning. Thank you for making it as smooth as possible on handovers and collection times.

We are very happy with Nursery Rhymes, we have used this nursery since our older daughter (now 5!) was 7 months old and now have our second daughter there too. It is a beautiful, family-run nursery and we always feel like our girls are so well looked after. The staff are brilliant and take such great
care of them, and we have recommended them to everyone!! From the baby room to preschool, they have been great. The nursery is a lovely facility, the food is excellent and we always feel well-informed. Thank you to nursery rhymes!

I couldn't be happier with my experience at Nursery Rhymes. From the moment we enrolled my son, the staff has been incredibly warm and welcoming. The environment is bright and cheerful, filled with engaging activities that foster learning and creativity.

playtime and educational activities perfectly. My son has shown remarkable progress in both social skills and early literacy since starting. The teachers are not only attentive but also genuinely care about each child's development, making a real effort to create a nurturing atmosphere.

I went back to work at 6 months and they made the transition for me so easy. They truly care about how I want things done for my child and made sure to keep me updated very frequently to keep my mind at ease. A year later my child runs into nursery in the morning and it makes me so happy.

We have always had full confidence in the Nursery Rymes team and their capabilities. We know our children have been cared for to the best standard.
With both girls, drop-off has always been easy, they potty trained early and the staff fully supported us during this transition. 
They have been great
at keeping us updated, with food, development and friendships. Nursery Rhymes offers a scenic setting, lots of wood textures and greenery in their outside spaces. The outside space was invaluable as an extension of what is offered inside. They offer a great variety of food which my children have always enjoyed, nutritious and delicious. Equally, they have always had a great rapport with the chef which I think has always helped.
Finally, we would like to offer a special thanks to key workers. My children display a lot of confidence and willing to learn outside of the nursery provision and this is a huge credit to the team, especially their key workers and the energy they have invested in them.
