Nuffy Bear Day Nursery, located in Surbiton, offers first class, flexible care for children aged three months to five years.

The experienced team of childcare professionals have a warm, caring attitude and work closely with parents to ensure all their children’s learning needs are met whilst maintaining a safe and secure environment.

The friendly and secure nursery offers spacious rooms within which the children are able to develop their pre-school skills through a wide range of educational resources and a variety of stimulating and creative activities.

Nuffy Bear in Surbiton offers a variety of extra-curricular activities alongside the nursery day, including: swimming for children aged over three years, Spanish, ballet, ‘Click it’, gymnastics, and Jo Jingles.
                                                                
The nursery day can be split into sessions. The morning session runs from 8am to 1pm, the afternoon session from 1pm to 6pm and full day sessions are from 8am to 6pm. They offer an early drop of session 07:30 - 08:00 and a late pick up session 18:00 - 18:30.

My daughter always seems happy when I pick her up but the report I receive on her day is sporadic. Some days I get a written report, others a full verbal report and sometimes I have to ask for information. I appreciate the carers are tired at the end of a long day with the children, so maybe a written
top line daily report to take away, as a rule, would be easier for everyone.
My daughter attends another nursery 2 days week, I pay the same for her other nursery as I do for Nuffy but her nappies, wipes, cream etc. are included.
The manager and her management team have been great at sorting out any issues and answering questions I have had as a first-time mum, particularly on the finance side where incorrect invoices have been received etc. I often get emails from them out of hours or on their days off.
Overall I am happy with my daughter attending Nuffy Bear.

Amazing nursery with good outcomes for the children.
Our children are so happy at the nursery and are very close to the teachers. The staff have been amazing in the way they help and support the children to accomplish their development needs and very personable. Also having a younger sibling at the
nursery, the staff have been so accommodating to both the children's needs and ours as a family, allowing them time together if possible. Everyone is always so happy to help!

I had looked around most of the local nurseries and wasn't impressed with what they had to offer. I decided to keep my daughter at home and attend local classes instead to give her activities and meet her social needs. Shortly afterwards I met with my neighbour who recommended Nuffy Bear.
From the
moment I walked into the nursery, met with the staff and could see how happy the children were doing their activities, I knew that this was what I had been looking for.
The staff are great at their job, caring, welcoming, pleasant and happy people who do a great job of nurturing the children.
My little girl loves attending. She comes home with wonderful things she has made. She eats well and learns great social skills.
Nuffy's are extremely flexible with increasing from half a day to a full day when required.
The communication to parents is really good with regular updates.
The cost is competitive and I feel excellent value for the service.
Well done Nuffy's and Thank you.

Nuffy Bear nursery has continued to grow into a beautiful nursery. My daughter is very happy here. The nursery staff put on such a variety of activities alongside the wider Nuffield Health onsite opportunities including swimming and yoga.

This nursery is great. My son has attended for 18 months and the new manager has created a happy, vibrant environment which he thrives in. From trips out to friendly, happy and enthusiastic staff to great food and lots of new parental engagement opportunities - it's fab. No nursery is perfect and it's
never easy leaving your most precious cargo in someone else's care. But Nuffy Bear make it easier and give us peace of mind as we head off to work every day.

A massive improvement in the leadership from 12 months ago. This, together with the support of the staff, means we have seen real progress in the activities that are offered and the ethos of Nuffy Bear.

Our daughter has attended Nuffy Bear Surbiton since July 2015. We have found Nuffy to have been an excellent choice. The day to day staff are extremely polite, considerate and caring. The management is very proactive and go beyond the basic Ofsted educational requirements. Children's learning progress,
development and performance are closely monitored to ensure compliance with Ofsted requirements and to ensure the children are satisfying their needs. Nuffy also provides a range of extracurricular activities that the children partake in (ballet, computer lessons, drama, etc.), in addition to complimentary swimming lessons.


There are often external excursions arranged to supplement the educational context. Parents are effectively communicated to in relation to day to day and planned activities. Parents also have the ability to influence the running of the nursery via membership to the 'Parents Committee'. The quality and quantity of food is also excellent and is monitored for dietary requirements in accordance with UK best practice.


Our daughter has flourished and loves attending. Under the new manager (since July 2017), Nuffy has improved 100%, I would now recommend it to the most discerning parents.

My son has been attending Nuffy Bears since he was six months old and is now two and a half. He has loved all of the different rooms he has been in due to the staff who are all fantastic and wonderful with the children. The nursery has a great focus on developing the children through a wide variety
of engaging and fun activities. This includes singing sessions, special visitors (this week was a visit from the reptile zoo), IT classes, games and visits to places such as the library, park and local theatre. It is also great to know that my son is getting homemade, delicious and healthy food made by the nursery chef.

Very friendly staff who love the kids and make their day. However outside space is very limited and kids never go on outings.

Both my daughters have attended this nursery since the age of one and they absolutely love it! The variety of activities is amazing and they learn so many things that I would not have even thought about at home. The staff are really caring, flexible if you need extra hours occasionally and have a lovely
bond with all the children. They get lots of outdoor and messy play and I particularly like the swimming for the older children which is included in the rate, as well as optional other activities such as ballet and ball skills. The hours are good although I would prefer a 7:30 start. I feel this is a very good value nursery with excellent dedicated staff and I will be very sad when my children outgrow it.

Our daughter has been attending nursery since she was 15 months old and always looks forward to going... bouncing up the stairs with a big smile on her face and a spring in her step. She enjoys all the activities: in particular the arts and crafts, singing and dancing, and playing outdoors. The team
are very professional, hard working, committed and a pleasure to deal with. They take time to smile and say hello to each child even if they are from a different classroom. The nursery is a bright, fun environment with lots of learning and development aids and provides good home made food. Overall we are very reassured that our daughter is happy and well cared for by a great team of people in a safe, warm and happy nursery.
