Willaston Pre-school is a very experienced early years provider offering a wonderful nurturing environment for local children (aged 2 to 4) who live in the Crewe and Nantwich area (including Weston, Shavington, Hough, and Wistaston). Being nestled next to Willaston park, and with large spacious play areas both inside and outside, children gain essential social and academic skills by learning through play, with a great emphasis placed on outdoor activities for creativity and fitness.

Your child can start at any time to suit you. The pre-school is completely flexible which hours or days are booked and particularly suits teachers and other parents with term time working hours. Any hours can be funded up to the council maximum of 10 hours per day. Paid places are also available in return for modest fees. Staggered arrival and departure times mean the pre-school offers childcare from 7.30am until 5.30pm, 5 days a week. Ideally situated between the A500 and A534 means Willaston Pre-school is easy to access (and they have a car park).

The inspirational, close-knit, professional team, all qualified in paediatric first aid and led by a qualified early years practitioner, will ensure your child is ready for the demands of whichever reception class you eventually choose. As there are small child numbers (maximum 24 in total) and lots of adults, the team can offer individual learning plans for children which cater for diverse interests, including enrichment activities such as Spanish and cookery. Willaston Pre-school is independent and is not affiliated to any primary school or religion. It has good links with all local primary schools to ensure a smooth transition.

I have no hesitation but to write a 5-star review. My child attends every day and has done for the past few years.
Every member of staff is caring, nurturing and enthusiastic about their role. The children are well cared for, as well as their educational needs met above and beyond.
Not once has
he not wanted to go, which speaks louder than words. The hard work everyone puts in is very appreciated. They certainly set the bar high for other nurseries to compete against.

We have now got 2 granddaughters attending the pre-school. The first started early last year, the youngest this year. Both always look forward to going, are enthusiastic about attending and get excited on the way there. They are welcomed and go in without a backward glance. On collection, they are always
happy, smiling and dirty, evidencing engaged exploratory play which they happily recall with lots of laughter. The staff are always welcoming and knowledgeable about the sort of day the children have had and report back in detail the highs, lows and bumps and bruises. The increase in confidence and dexterity through the activities and play has been exceptional. They attempt and try foods and activities that test our patience at home, happily recalling their achievements and their latest favourite foods. We have had to put satisfactory in a couple of boxes as we have not seen or experienced these, not going into the building due to the covid recommendations.

Thank you for your lovely review. Re cleanliness, we have a dedicated team member who cleans all day so that surfaces are wiped down frequently etc. We have a wealth of resources that are used in different combinations every day of the year to ensure the learning objectives of the EYFS are met. When we can welcome parents/carers back into the building, you will be able to see this all for yourself!

Both of my girls love going and are showing excellent progress in their learning. There are high expectations for the children to achieve academically as well as support to do this. It isn't just the academic side, the children have lots of socialisation and opportunities to grow and develop all the
necessary skills.

My son has thrived at Willaston Pre-School. He settled really well and looks forward to nursery days! The staff are very experienced, with a strong focus on working with parents to support children's development. My son has learnt so much in the short time he has been there, such as his desire to be
more independent and his growing imagination during play. He will no doubt have acquired all the skills he needs to prepare him for school next year.

We highly recommend Willaston Pre School. Our youngest currently attends, as did our daughter who is now at school. The staff are amazing. They are very experienced and skilled in educating the children whilst still comforting them when needed. My daughter loves being outside on the bikes and tractor
and they benefit from being in a central village location whilst backing onto the park. My daughter (despite being the youngest in the year), breezed into Primary School, although she would be back at Pre School in a heartbeat if she could.

Great quality childcare, have been amazing with both of my boys who have very different needs and have facilitated them to have a great start. Willaston Pre-School set my first son up to a great start meaning he was very ready for school. My youngest son loves going there now and has progressed so much

My son has been coming to Willaston Pre-school since he has turned two, we couldn't recommend it enough! He loves coming to Pre-school to see his friends, most importantly getting messy. The staff are really supportive and made the whole part of the settling in process very easy.

Fantastic preschool, staff are wonderful and really care. My son loves going two mornings per week 8:30-11:30 and has learnt so much since starting age 2. Great outdoor space, he has taken part in baking, sports day and growing vegetables. I would recommend to any parent looking for a small caring pre-school
who genuinely cares for all their children. Parents evening was so heartwarming to hear how much his key worker and other staff members knew about him in just 1 term.

My little girl's current nursery is restructuring and we decided to move her full-time from September 2018 to Willaston Preschool. We started her around Easter 1 morning a week to help settle and it has been great. She walks straight in no tears and has adjusted to two nurseries easily. My concerns
about her being unsettled were unfounded. The ladies were great with her on her first couple of days coming to her when she came in and encouraging her to join an activity. I feel so much better about her moving full-time from September. Her little sister is starting in September too and I have full confidence in the ladies getting her settle and adjust to nursery time.

Recommend so highly! My 2.5 year old was struggling in nursery and we were looking for other options, as soon as we looked round I knew it was perfect. There is lots of space so the children are not on top of each other, a big outside space and they are outside every day. There is lots of different
toys, games and equipment and it is such a lovely space.
Every day there are different activities set up, sensory play, painting and so many different activities. I love that there is a big focus on preparation for school, not just the academic side but the soft skills and independence e.g. at lunchtime.
The staff are fantastic, so caring and passionate about the children and they are consistent which means they really get to know the children. My little girl settled in so well and has gone from crying hysterically at her nursey drop off, to running in to pre-school and having to catch her to say bye. She gets so excited and I thank my lucky stars I found this perfect place.

We are absolutely delighted with Willaston Pre-School. Our daughter loves attending and has thrived since starting in September 2016. The staff are caring and are fantastic at their job. The varied activities and endless outdoor play ensure an interesting and action packed day. I highly recommend the
setting and would encourage anyone considering a preschool for their child to have a look around. As it operates as a not for profit organisation, it is extremely good value for money.

Willaston Pre-school has a friendly, nurturing and supportive environment for both the children and their carers.
The staff are all very approachable and have lots of experience. They always have time to answer my queries and time to cuddle my little boy when he is sad. They encourage the children
to use their imaginations and be themselves and unbeknown to the children - they are learning phonics, numbers and many other skills that they can develop further in school.
We love Willaston Pre-school.

Wonderful nurturing pre-school (Outstanding in all areas from Ofsted) which is a great half-way house between home and primary school. My 3 sons (and now daughter!) have all loved their time there. Imaginative use of the facilities means that children learn without even realising it i.e. whilst having
fun and playing. The greatest asset is the staff who have all been there for ages, know just how to care for each child as an individual, and are all professionals. Complete absence of ipads too!

What my little boy says every day, is reason enough for me to recommend Willaston Preschool to any parent - everyday he asks me 'Are we going to preschool today' and 'am I staying for lunch' then a jump for joy when the answer is yes. That aside, the staff are caring and nurturing and have a perfect
balance between learning and play. The facilities are excellent and there are always plenty, also there is a great variety of toys and books available. I also very much like that my little boy's learning log is a physical one that parents can take home and flick through, rather than yet another thing to look through online.
