Honestly outstanding in every way possible. Cannot recommend enough to everyone and anyone.
As a teaching professional myself I have quite high standards for childcare and Glaisdale honestly exceeded all of them.
My daughter started at roughly 15/16 months old and unfortunately had to leave much
before I would have hoped to due to work commitments from myself. I would have gladly kept her there until she went to school.
All the staff are so friendly and warm. The care and attention to details to make you feel confident in leaving your children with them is second to none. They genuinely care and want the best for every carer and child who walks through their doors.
Thank you so much Glaisdale for leaving a massive imprint on our lives.

This is an excellent nursery. Our daughter started when she was 1 and is nearly 3. She loves coming every day and often doesn’t want to come home! The staff are kind and caring, and I have only great things to say about all of them.

I couldn't recommend Glaisdale Day Nursery more. The staff are friendly, attentive, knowledgeable and resourceful. Our daughter moved from a different nursery to Daisy's and then into Sunflowers Room. They made her feel welcome and she was comfortable from the first week she moved across. They went
to extra lengths to help when we were potty training by supporting us with our different approach that had an impact on the staff in caring for our daughter. The information they provide in their newsletter is relevant, informative and great for signposting initiatives in the area. We know what our daughter is eating. The app provides lovely updates on what the children are doing each week and we feel reassured by having this information. Only price is slightly more than other nurseries in the area, but it is well worth the extra from my own personal experiences. Would not hesitate in recommending Glaisdale Nursery to any new parents.

We moved to the area a year ago and our daughter joined Glaisdale from another nursery and all I can say is the difference between the two was night and day. We didn't realise how good a nursery can be until we joined Glaisdale. Our daughter has absolutely thrived in the warm, welcoming and open environment
the setting provides. We love that we can drop her off and pick her up from the classroom each day and see how much fun she is having with her friends. The nursery itself provides such a brilliant range of activities that keep our daughter both entertained and educated. From Forest School (and the trip in the minibus she loves) to French lessons and visits to care homes, the activities are varied and really help round out a child's personality.
We would highly recommend the nursery and will be so sad when she finally leaves to go to school!

I couldn’t speak more highly about Glaisdale Day Nursery. My eldest has recently left to start school having spent almost four years there. He absolutely loved his time there and was so upset to be leaving and still regularly talks about his teachers. The staff are all amazing - everyone is so friendly
and it feels more like one big family. The facilities are incredible and each room has its own garden, which is fantastic. The children also go out regularly for walks etc., and they also do other things, such as Forest School and visits to a local care home, which my son loved. The teachers organise so many exciting activities to do each day, so the children have fun as well as prepare for school. I didn’t hesitate to enrol my youngest (who will be starting soon) as I couldn’t wish for a safer, more nurturing nursery.

Our children have been going to Glaisdale over a period of 7 years and we couldn't be happier with the care provided. It is a truly magnificent nursery, that is so inspirational and is so understanding to each child's individual needs. All staff are so friendly and every room gives the children many
exciting ways of learning through play. Glaisdale has given both our children such a fantastic start in life and we will be forever grateful.

I’ve had two children who went through Glaisdale Day Nursery (youngest one just finished in August 2023) and I can’t speak highly enough of it. The staff are incredibly caring, nurturing and friendly and it’s always clear that they genuinely care deeply about the children there. There is always a smile
to welcome you and your child and they really go above and beyond to ensure you feel your child is in safe hands. Thank you for a wonderful experience, we will miss you all.

My daughter started at Glaisdale Day Nursery in March 2021 at the age of fourteen months. The staff are extremely attentive and my daughter loved attending the nursery. As a parent I am very happy in my choice to send her there. She came on leaps and bounds throughout her time in the baby/toddler rooms.
I was well informed and updated on room changes and events that were taking place and the managers were so welcoming on arrival and departure every day. My daughter left the nursery nine months ago and still speaks fondly of her time at Glaisdale and asks about her teachers often.

Delighted to have now had all three of our children attend Glaisdale. The staff are amazing and you can tell all the team work hard to make it such a special place for learning and play in these early years. The setting is well thought out, with new features/areas being added/renovated frequently and
amazing (and safe) outdoor space. I wanted to write a review as they went over and above (more than usual) when they welcomed my oldest (now at school) back to do a talk to their nursery school leavers over the summer - an amazing opportunity for the kids to hear about school from someone who many of them knew/recognised from nursery and who could talk about the things they wanted to talk about (food, playground, uniform etc). It was a fantastic learning experience for my kid and we were so grateful for how the staff made it such a fun experience. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this nursery - our kids couldn’t be happier here and we’ll be sad when they all graduate!

Current Review Score: 9.2 (9.235)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.2 (9.235) out of 10 for Glaisdale Day Nursery is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 9 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.3 out of 5 from 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.926 for Glaisdale Day Nursery is calculated as follows: ( (100 Excellents x 5) + (8 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 108 Ratings = 4.926

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 4.309 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Glaisdale Day Nursery is based on 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.9

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 110 number of registered child places is 22. 9 Positive Reviews ÷ 22 = 0.409

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
