Bright Horizons Mount Carmel Nursery in Holloway is located only 5 minutes from Holloway Road tube station on the Piccadilly line.

Their nursery setting is open Monday to Friday from 07:30 to 18:30, for children aged 3 months to 5 years. They offer a warm, welcoming environment supporting the transition from home to nursery, made up of 4 light and spacious home bases.

They provide excellent nutritionally-balanced menus using fresh ingredients prepared by their own chef. They also boast two outdoor areas where your child can explore and play. The highly qualified team helped them secure a 'Good' rating in their latest Ofsted Inspection in March 2018.

My son has been attending Bright Horizons Mount Carmel Day Nursery and Preschool for 18 months and I could not be happier with the nursery. My son has flourished under the care provided and his social skills have grown more than I could have imagined. They have nurtured his love of learning and are
constantly coming up with new ways to engage with and challenge my son academically. We will be so sad to leave the nursery when my son starts school. I would highly recommend Bright Horizons Mount Carmel Day Nursery and Preschool to any parent.

We had a fantastic experience at Bright Horizons Mount Carmel for the last three years. Our son was well cared for. We appreciated the commitment to his learning of core skills but also care for fostering his creativity through both indoor and outdoor play and crafts. Communication from and with Bright

Bright Horizons Mount Carmel Day Nursery and Preschool is the dream nursery for my child. He has been there for 1.5 years and the facilities are great, but what makes the difference is the team. They are kind, always giving updates and details about the child. I feel my child is extremely well looked
after and he is striving to succeed in this environment. Since the manager took the lead, I have also noticed much better and frequent communication, which is highly appreciated. I feel like my child is in the perfect place for him to grow and learn. The new portal is also very nice! The fee is high and it is a huge part of our income, but somehow it feels well invested. Thank you to the manager and team to enable my child to be happy!

My daughter settled in very well and almost immediately. She loves the nursery, her teachers, the staff and the manager. This is all because of the great care that is given to her. She really enjoys her time there as she is exposed to different activities on a daily basis. They have promoted her speech
and understanding. She comes home happy and speaks about her activities at the nursery with a lot of enthusiasm. The staff/teachers/manager have listened and responded to us and they are always happy and bright - you can tell that there is a great working environment in her room. She also enjoys the food there. I consider this nursery a caring environment where my daughter is flourishing. I have already registered my youngest daughter too. I could not recommend it more.

My daughter absolutely loves the staff. They are all amazing and caring. I am completely reassured that she is in good hands on a daily basis. Lots of fun activities that I would have never thought of doing at home. Nice and balanced food menus.

My son has been attending Mount Carmel since the age of 1. Over these two years, he has made good progress and made great friends. He is always happy to go to the nursery and often shows us his nice work - in the form of drawings or nursery rhymes. The opening hours and dates are far better than other
nurseries. We have a good relationship with the management and staff and can comfortably recommend this nursery to our friends.

We are so happy to send our daughter to the same nursery as her elder sister went to. She is so happy to see different kids and play buddies in the nursery. She is a more confident child now and excited too. She is also learning how to count and alphabets, months, songs, etc. This is helping her a lot

Our son has been at Mount Caramel for nearly 2 years. He is very happy there and has a great social life - so needed especially during lockdowns.
He loves being with other peers and learning new skills at the nursery. He entertains us at home with new songs and rhymes he learned. The team is lovely
and new managers being very proactive really makes a difference. Thank you for all your effort especially during those challenging times!

My daughter loves seeing her friends at pre-school but is also particularly keen on her key worker. She’s a regular topic of conversations at the end of the day and someone she looks for in the park at the weekend. You can’t get better than that for a two-year-old!

The staff at Bright Horizons Mount Carmel have been truly great since my daughter joined as a baby. They have been caring and attentive of her from day one, and her joy in the mornings when dropped off speaks for itself - Mount Carmel clearly provides a great environment. Covid has brought difficult
times for everyone, but the carers have outdone themselves with their continued efforts to deliver great care. Management staff have also been very helpful by keeping children's guardians involved and informed via weekly emails – an absolute necessity due to the inability to have a close relationship with the carers for the time being. Evidence of staff's involvement and care is the fact that all carers seem to know each child by name, even though there are plenty of kids and all are divided into different rooms (and bubbles since Covid) - this makes me feel that my daughter goes every day into an environment where staff truly care for her and her wellbeing.

My son loved his experience in preschool at Mount Carmel. He had a very close relationship with all the staff and they supported him to develop and grow, and also took into account his individual preferences so he felt welcomed and engaged well. As well as learning, he made friends and had lots of fun!
They offered yoga, which my son really enjoyed. We only left the nursery as we were moving out of the area.

My son joined the nursery when he was 6 months old and I immediately saw a massive improvement in his physical development and social interaction skills. A few weeks later though the COVID-19 pandemic hit and the nursery was forced to close. After months of being at home, my son re-joined the nursery
(as a toddler) and the benefits of him being there were again immediately noticed. His key person and other members of staff welcomed him back very warmly and took great care of him so that he would settle in smoothly. With the help of these great ladies, he is a sociable, happy and active boy who loves trying out new things. He clearly loves going to school every morning as he is full of smiles as soon as he sees the door! Big thank you to everyone at Mount Carmel for taking such good care of my boy!

This is my daughter's second nursery and I have come to realise she is having a more substantial early years experience. Firstly, the food she gets exposes her to a range of different foods and a range of fruits. Secondly, she comes home covered in paint showing she has had the option to be creative.
Thirdly, her feedback describes multiple exciting toys she gets to play with: Scooter, bikes etc. Fourthly, the activities are themed based, my daughter is preparing for Halloween and is now talking to me about pumpkins. The staff are sensitive to my daughter's needs and helped her settle in, she runs into nursery every day excited to get started. So if you want an exciting engaging nursery experience Mount Carmel Nursery will deliver.

The staff are amazing and I know my child is in good hands which is, for me, the most important. I can see my child develop new skills and he is happy to go to the nursery. Security is satisfactory and could be strengthened a little to be on the safe side.

Generally delighted with the nursery. My daughter is not a good eater and I would have liked a little more feedback about what she does eat and how much, and possibly the move to rising twos at 17/18 months was a little early for her, but I have been delighted with the care received, very friendly staff.
We wouldn't be leaving if we were not moving house to West London. We will be sorry to leave!

I've worked for Bright Horizons since October 2008 and have been lucky enough to work within nine nurseries in the area and grown in my experience as a Nursery Manager and leader in the child care sector. Helping me to hone in on my skills to have a great partnership with children, parents and staff. My team are amazing and every child will have their own key carer who will be on hand to help you navigate this period of your child's life.
