My experience with the Kids 1st Gosforth nursery has so far been very positive. I find the staff to be very understanding, caring and interested in my son. He is very happy once at nursery and plays with the staff and other children. He eats a healthy diet whilst at nursery and enjoys playing in the
outdoor area. We love the updates and photos on the app. We are both very happy to leave him with the staff.

I can’t recommend Kids 1st enough, my daughter has attended from age 1 to 4 and I have always been hugely impressed with the nursery and the way in which it runs - especially remaining open for key worker parents throughout lockdown. The staff at the nursery are always very approachable and genuinely
warm towards the kids and my daughter thinks very highly of everyone. As a much younger single mother, I have often felt patronised and judged in the past by my daughter's previous childcare providers but Kids 1st are always warm and welcoming regardless of circumstances. The staff should be very proud of themselves and I feel they have made a great contribution to my daughters start in life while I have been working though I hugely miss her I know she is well looked after and thriving. I feel I can ask them about my daughter without feeling as if I am being a nuisance. The manager is fantastic too and always very supportive. We will both thoroughly miss the nursery when she leaves in September.

We have been extremely pleased with Kids 1st Gosforth and could not recommend it highly enough. Both my son and daughter have attended another Kids 1st and then in 2018 transferred to Gosforth. They have absolutely loved their time at Kids 1st Gosforth, the staff are completely professional and caring
and make every effort to ensure the children in their care are happy. The nursery is a warm, welcoming environment and I would recommend it without reservation to any parent. The staff have been excellent during a challenging 12 months, our daughter attended nursery during the height of lockdown and we always felt completely reassured that she was safe and well looked after.

My little one has attended this provision for around three and a half years and every day she is there is a happy one. Even since being a baby the care provided has been consistent and attentive. The nursery routine now is focused on preparation for school. Never a complaint about care of my child.
The nursery are also very considerate of parents and support the children to celebrate all festivals and important events diversely. There is good communication and absolute credit to the management and staff for the management of the impact of Covid-19, not only keeping it out of the setting which is amazing but being creative to maintain the home to nursery links. Happy children equals happy parents. Thank you.

It took a while to decide which nursery we could go for, but after our visit to Kids 1st Gosforth, we just felt that we found the right place for our little one who is 2 and a half. He comes home very happy and tells us he loves everything about it. I definitely recommend this place. We couldn't ask
for any better nursery to leave our son. You can only leave your child with people who care with love, so Kids 1st Gosforth, Jubilee Road is the best. Everyone is doing such an incredible job. I am very grateful to them.

Our daughter first went to Kids 1st Gosforth when she was around eighteen months. The staff were all magnificent with her even when she found it hard to leave us! She is at school now but still speaks fondly of her time there. We have now sent our son to Kids 1st Gosforth as well and would not hesitate
to recommend it to other parents in the area.

Our daughter joined Kids 1st Gosforth aged two after the first lockdown. It was her first experience in a childcare setting so naturally we were a bit anxious about her settling in, however the nursery had come highly recommended by friends and colleagues. We are so pleased with how well she is cared

My little girl joined the nursery last August during the pandemic and despite such a difficult time, I can’t fault the nursery or the staff. She has settled in extremely fast and they have made her feel like she’s always been there. They really care about the children, put in so much effort with them
and ensure they are prepared for school. She has developed so well with her numeracy, literacy, knowledge and enjoyment of the world as well as her interpersonal relationships and never at any point have the restrictions made her feel uncomfortable or worried. They have made her feel like she has normality in a time when it has been far from that in the rest of the world and they haven’t had one Covid-19 case throughout the whole nursery. The staff really are to be applauded, we couldn’t have asked for more.

My little girl has been at this nursery for four years now and now in her last class before starting school in September. This is a lovely nursery and it’s the staff which make it what extra special. My daughter has loved her time at nursery and made special bonds with staff and children that we will
never forget. I’m a key worker and during the pandemic I’ve had to work a lot of different hours and the nursery accommodated for that without hesitation. She only has a few month left at Kids 1st Nursery before starting school in September and it will be bitter sweet to say goodbye to everyone after dropping my daughter off there every week for nearly four years. So thank you to everyone at the nursery for being such a huge part of my daughter's life and making sure she was always looked after with the best care and love while mummy went to work.

My daughter has been at the nursery since she was nine months old in 2018 and has always loved it. The staff are all so lovely, friendly and really get to know and love your child. The food always smells amazing, is healthy and my daughter loves it! The manager has always been really flexible when possible
if I have needed changes in days due to work. More recently two other particular members of staff have helped me with my daughter's challenging behaviour by keeping in touch with me and sticking to a consistent approach as well as rewarding positive behaviour. She has really turned a corner recently and I honestly don't think that would've have happened without this excellent support.

Our son has been attending Kids 1st Gosforth since he was around one year old. He quickly settled in and he really enjoys his time there. They have lots of activities such as drawing, playing with sand, singing and dancing to music, shops, kitchen, dinosaurs, circle games, imaginary play with toys and
so on. He is now three and a half and whenever we go to pick him up he has a big smile on his face because he’s been having so much fun. The staff are great and look after the kids so well. They always put on sun cream and hats when the kids play out in the garden during warmer weather. As the kids get older they start to learn more about numbers and letters and get their own book to write and draw in. The food on offer has a good variety and we are kept informed about what he has eaten. Any accidents or nappy changes are always handled quickly and without fuss. The parents evenings allow you to keep in touch with your child’s key worker and see how they are getting on.

The communication and guidance from the nursery during the whole pandemic has been fantastic. With both of us still being key workers our daughter still attended throughout and the safety precautions in place were great and we genuinely felt she was safe attending. All the staff are always helpful,
she had a difficult time when moving up a class because she was using the toilet when others weren't and they supported her very well. She always comes home happy and full of stories with her friends.The facilities are always looking clean and tidy and the outdoor areas they have has lots of activities. Would be happy to recommend to anyone.

My little girl started Kids 1st at 16 months and has been there for nearly three years. Throughout this time the staff and management have been outstanding. I am always happy dropping my daughter off knowing she will have a great day and her needs and education will be addressed. The staff are caring

Kids First Gosforth is such an amazing nursery, which I would highly recommend to anyone. Our eldest attended when he was 10 months old back in 2012 and our daughter is currently there now. The attention to meet each child's individual needs is outstanding. They have a variety of freshly cooked meals
which rotate regularly and are delicious. We get to have the meals when we attend parents evening or during partner play dates. The nursery always goes above and beyond. The staff within the setting, from day one, have all been nurturing and very welcoming. My son and daughter have created some amazing bonds with staff as well as myself and my husband. The setting is purpose-built, making it the perfect setting. We get daily updates via parent zone which cover meals, toileting, sleeps and what our daughter has been doing. The nursery does 2 year checks and also we get termly assessments which is great to see where our children are based in their learning. They truly are incredible.

Hello, I am responsible for looking after the learning, development and welfare needs of all the children at Kids 1st Gosforth.  I will help your child settle into the nursery and ensure that they thrive in a loving, secure environment.


I have worked at Kids 1st Gosforth since March 2012, as a nursery nurse, I was quickly promoted to EYP graduate and then Deputy Manager.  Where I was later promoted to Centre Director.  I have many years of experience in a leadership role and have my foundation degree in Education and Childhood Studies.


I am a keen hiker and at the moment I am trying to complete all the Wainwrights before I move on the Monroe's in Scotland. My other passion is musical theatre and  I have two grown-up children and a small dog called Maggie.
