My child has been at Kids 1st Gosforth for almost a year now and has attended throughout the covid period as I'm a key worker. The staff are lovely, and my child thoroughly enjoys going to nursery.
The pandemic has been handled excellently, staff wear PPE when children are dropped off/collected and
have an efficient system in place to try and keep queues to a minimum.
My child completes a range of activities whilst at nursery, and is regularly in the outdoor area. There is a good variety of food offered.
The staff really make this nursery what it is, including the manager, friendly kitchen staff and room attendants among others. I can't thank them enough for helping to settle my child and provide stability during such uncertain times. There are nurseries closer to home, but I wouldn't think of changing!

Fantastic overall. Very friendly and welcoming staff, fantastic with our son and trust the staff implicitly. The management are fantastic also and we are very glad we made the decision to enrol our little boy here.

Kids 1st Gosforth is the only nursery I would trust to care for my child. They are kind, caring and have created a fantastic environment. I love being a part of this nursery and I am so grateful and thankful to every staff member, all they do for us and the time they take to involve us. Thank you!

Kids 1st, in general, is an excellent nursery and as a parent, I am very happy with how my daughter is enjoying her experience. The staff are warm and welcoming both am and pm. They are friendly and provide a full detailed summary of how my little girls day has been, which is provided with written detail
in her diary. The quality of food and activities is also another 2 areas I'm very impressed with. My daughter is very happy and comfortable with the staff and the environment.

The staff are caring and have a great understanding of our son's developmental needs and day to day likes and dislikes. They communicate his daily activities and have supported us through weaning, naps and potty training by implementing home routines. We are more than happy, our son has developed lovely
relationships with each of his key workers as he has moved through the rooms. It is a weight off our mind knowing he enjoys every day there.

Absolutely amazing nursery, could not fault it. I would recommend highly to anyone. The staff are so caring and friendly and put so much effort into everything they do. My daughter speaks very fondly of all the staff and how much fun she has here. Outstanding nursery in every way.

My son has been with Kids 1st Gosforth for nearly 18 months now and he loves it. The staff are friendly, they always have time to discuss his needs and the progress he is making is great. He genuinely loves his keyworkers and this comes from the time, effort and energy they put into my son whilst at
nursery.
He enjoys the food and an alternative is always offered if he's having a bit of an off day. I can go to work knowing he's in safe hands and is having fun with his friends!

My daughter attends Kids 1st Gosforth 2 days a week and has since August 2017. She has clearly progressed at a significant rate with her development. Particularly in relation to her speech and the development of key relationships.
She is especially close to her two keyworkers and has made many friends.
The nursery is outstanding in all areas but particularly the friendliness and professionalism of the staff.

I always feel we get warmly welcomed when entering the Starfish 2 room. The staff always show a very keen interest in my baby and want to know how he is on a morning. They are always extremely accommodating if he has to take any medication or have a set routine we like to follow.
I always feel at
ease ringing to check how he is. I always feel well informed at the end of the day on how he has been, what he has been up to and how he has slept/eaten.
It's very comforting to hear he has been doing things he usually does with us (such as clapping, high 5, smiling, saying hiya, and grabbing his favourite food).

Our daughter has been attending the nursery for 6 months and we have been very happy with the nursery and the staff. They made her feel very welcome and helped her through a few tricky weeks to a place now where she's desperate to get out the house in the morning to go to nursery. All the staff are
very friendly from the management and nursery nurses to the kitchen staff and the cleaners. I highly recommend the nursery.

We have used this nursery for both of our children, since 2011. We have always been very impressed by the extremely high standard of care. Our children have both always enjoyed attending nursery, have been very fond of the staff and enjoyed the range of activities on offer. There is a lovely, friendly
atmosphere in the nursery, it is clear that the staff really care about the children - many of them still ask after our son who left over 2 years ago. Can't recommend it highly enough.

Sandra Zafarani

Job Title: Centre Director

Joined: 2012

Hello, I am responsible for looking after the learning, development and welfare needs of all the children at Kids 1st Gosforth.  I will help your child settle into the nursery and ensure that they thrive in a loving, secure environment.


I have worked at Kids 1st Gosforth since March 2012, as a nursery nurse, I was quickly promoted to EYP graduate and then Deputy Manager.  Where I was later promoted to Centre Director.  I have many years of experience in a leadership role and have my foundation degree in Education and Childhood Studies.


I am a keen hiker and at the moment I am trying to complete all the Wainwrights before I move on the Monroe's in Scotland. My other passion is musical theatre and  I have two grown-up children and a small dog called Maggie.
