We had a great settling in session. The manager was very friendly and tailored the sessions as per the baby's progress. Baby got comfortable very early. I have to compliment the kitchen staff because my baby loves the food here! One area of feedback would be to give more detailed status reports as to
the activities they did every day and more pictures!

The Balham branch have been exceptional, they have put structures in place to ensure all children are improving and developing. The staff are very polite and they listen to all feedback from parents to ensure their level of services are maintained to a high standard. I've had a great experience and
can't fault the staff for ensuring they maintain their high standards.

We have been very pleased with Bright Horizons and our boys love it here. All the staff are fantastic and we're sad to leave. They have both matured really well and their skills have really developed. The manager has done a fantastic job of running the nursery and the staff are fabulous!

Lovely atmosphere. Friendly staff. One of the largest nurseries in the area for indoor/outdoor space which was a big positive for us. Our child is very happy here and does plenty of activities during the week.

Balham nursery and preschool comes with outstanding recommendations. The manager and her staff are absolutely A-star. They work as a team. Their work with the children is absolutely outstanding. I like the consistency in the nursery and also encourage parents to continue at home. The staff are all well
experienced. My grandson has matured since going to the nursery. He loves the nursery and will soon be moving on. I don't know how we are going to manage him leaving.

My daughter really enjoys going to nursery here. The rooms and garden are wonderful. The nursery promotes really good habits in the children which are important to us. The food is fantastic and I’m always jealous of the meals she has there! The learning themes are fun and engaging for the children.
I’m really pleased the app is finally in operation.

My daughter wakes up really excited to go to ‘her nursery’. Very reassuring for a Mother to hear. The communication has still been great during lockdown and I know each day how much she has eaten, slept and what she’s enjoyed doing. It’s not been easy for anyone during lockdown/in a pandemic but Bright
Horizon have made it feel so much more manageable and safe. I can’t recommend it enough.

I love the atmosphere in the nursery, there is nothing nicer than having your little toddler excited to go somewhere every morning and to hear the staff talk about your child with such affection. Every single member of staff are so welcoming and friendly and I have loved watching my little girl grow

Our experience with Bright Horizons Balham Day Nursery was great right from the start. They have been super helpful and we can feel our son has felt loved and supported by all the staff. I can definitely recommend the Balham Day nursery. My son settled so very well here after we moved to the area. He enjoys coming here and is always excited to show me what they have been doing all day. the learning is great with so many resources. Management is always helpful they answer all questions.
In general, the staff is great too. My son started only two months ago so still getting used to a little bit.

I was really apprehensive about putting my son in nursery and had many concerns about him settling and him missing his mummy.
However, Balham Day Nursery put my mind at ease as soon as I stepped through the doors.
My son settled in quickly and loves going to nursery.
He has enjoyed learning through
play and has realised many developmental milestones.

Balham Day Nursery has provided excellent care for our son over the last 2 months.
The staff are friendly and extremely welcoming.
Our son was a notoriously bad sleeper and within the first week he had settled in and was sleeping for 2 - 3 hours a day.
The food is of a good standard but has room
for improvement. A greater variety of fruits would be good.
We wish the nursery would digitise the daily reports by sending updates via an app rather than a written piece of paper.
Overall the nursery is fantastic but could be more affordable for parents as currently, it is one of the most expensive in the area.

Job Title: Nursery Manager

Hi my name is Grace and I am the Nursery Manager of Bright Horizons Balham.


From an early age I have always been intrigued with children and how they play and learn and this was at the forefront of why I wanted to be a Nursery Manager.


I have over 20 years of experience within Early Years and possess a BA hons in this field. In my spare time, my days are spent having quality time with my four children who range from Toddler to University age, who have also contributed to widening my experiences.


My journey with Bright Horizons has been one of continuous growth over the last 8 years and I have been fortunate to be around practitioners with a wealth of knowledge.
I have worked in a range Bright Horizons settings supporting in Ofsted and the curriculum and I am excited for this new challenge in supporting the Balham children to reach their full potential.
