A light and spacious nursery in Finsbury Park

Right in the heart of Finsbury Park with direct access to the Finsbury Park tube station situated 5 minutes away from the nursery. Finsbury Park Day Nursery and Preschool is within the catchment area for schools in the Borough of Islington, Haringey and Hackney.

The opening times are 7:30am - 6:30pm and offer a variety of full and part-time places providing high-quality care and education for children aged 3 months to 5 years.

Finsbury Park Day Nursery and Preschool is a light, spacious, purpose-built day nursery all on one level the rooms all have direct access to outdoor garden areas.

Each child is individually planned for to focus on their education and development by their very own key person. Staff work alongside parents to ensure that every child's individual needs are met at all times. The friendly and enthusiastic staff team have a wealth of knowledge and understanding of childcare, which is continued through regular training to ensure the highest quality practice possible.

Our daughter absolutely loves her time here (started at 10 months and is now 2 years) and the staff are really consistent, engaged and know the children well, some of them through the whole time they're there. The nursery is really well-run with personal touches, good communication and a nice number
of events parents can come to. The policies are all sensible. Would really recommend!

Our son has been at this nursery since early in 2022. He has formed great bonds with the staff, who have always been attentive to him and communicative with us. The location is very handy, being near the station for commuting to work.

Brilliant staff. Both children are always delighted to be dropped off and sad to come home and disappointed not to be going in on a Saturday morning! They are kept busy all day with a great combination of group and individual play and all staff know who the kids are, regardless of what room they are
usually in. The meals they have are always delicious, and the parties and events held regularly, are fantastic. I couldn't recommend more highly. The staff, in particular, are superb.

I strongly recommend the Bright Horizons Finsbury Park Nursery. High educational standards, amazing facilities, lots of social activities and the best staff - my kids have always been happy there and I always felt that I could rely on the nursery's support when raising young children. Over the course
of many years, my two children have been amazingly well cared for!

I only have great things to say about this nursery. Our son was happy in the morning when we took him in, and that is what I needed to know. Staff are super friendly and very attentive. At every step of our experience there, we were pleased with the level of professionalism. I am moving now, and I just

We are extremely grateful to the team at Bright Horizons for providing such amazing care and support to our two boys. Our eldest is nearly four and has been at Bright Horizons Finsbury Park since he was one. And our youngest is 15 months and has attended nursery for four months now. Both boys seem to
really enjoy going to nursery and have built wonderful relationships with the staff who work in their rooms. The team strikes a great balance between creating the space for plenty of play but also supporting their learning and development. I feel like the team genuinely cares about our kids and we (myself and my husband) feel like a part of the community there now - knowing most of the staff and when we can, attending the nursery events. The team and management have been a source of constant support and help throughout the past couple of Covid years and we are so grateful for all of the hard work and dedication through a difficult time.

Bright Horizons Finsbury Park is an excellent nursery, it has very good staff who build great relationships with the children our elder daughter has been there since October 2018 and our youngest is just starting at 8 months of age. The nursery has a very friendly atmosphere and our daughter really
enjoys going to nursery and comes home smiling every day. The opening hours are very convenient, communication with parents is very good and the children have fun doing lots of different activities. The nursery staff have been incredibly helpful during the extra pressures we have all felt through COVID.

Bright Horizons Nursery at Finsbury Park is an excellent nursery, we would highly recommend it.
Our son started in June 2020 at the age of 1 and has progressed brilliantly. He really enjoys going to nursery and comes home smiling every day.
In addition with the extra pressure of COVID (which has
made things difficult in all aspects of life), the nursery staff have been incredibly helpful, ensuring safety at all times.

We have two little boys at Bright Horizons in Finsbury Park, and we are delighted with it. Both boys run in each morning and love it there. It’s an airy and light purpose-built nursery with wonderful outside facilities. The manager is outstanding - as are her team. Our eldest is in the pre-school room,
and he is thriving and being well prepared for the move to school next year. As one of the other parents once said to me at the gate “if only they could stay on here”.

My daughter is more than happy to skip into preschool and see her friends and teachers each day. She feels safe and happy there, and that’s the main thing. I’ve also noticed a real step up in the learning focus now she’s in preschool, compared to in baby and toddler rooms where development is encouraged
but little ones are allowed to spend most of the time playing, as they should of course. In preschool, it’s just that- still plenty of play, but also preparation for school with literacy and numeracy and also little projects like the solar system.
Extremely glad to have this manager since she’s always been kind, great with the kids, efficient and just brilliant at her job, so it was fantastic news to us that she was taking over that role. The other teachers are caring and make the children feel safe, each child has a key person, and they occasionally rotate so that the kids get the experience of different teachers too.

When the initial Covid lockdown hit, Bright Horizons Finsbury Park was able to take care of my daughter at short notice (my other nursery closed, and being an essential worker household). The staff were truly fantastic at caring for her and giving us peace of mind that - even temporarily - our daughter
was in excellent hands. I am certain that any child joining for either a short or long period will be very well looked after by staff who authentically cares for the children. I am very grateful to the staff at Finsbury Park and Bright Horizons for their support.

This is a wonderful daycare provider. My son, who is 18 months, is only leaving because we are moving out of the area. I know he will really miss the place. He’s just been here a few months but settled in so well. He smiles when we arrive and toddles in all by himself.
The staff are incredibly dedicated
and caring. I chose this place because on my tour (pre lockdown) two toddlers came running up and hugged the staff member who was showing me around. There’s also a lovely little garden.
Not only is the care exceptional, but the level of feedback they provide is outstanding; we had daily reports and a thorough review, including photos, during our time. There’s also a weekly newsletter and regular competitions. We had an outside art exhibition too! All this despite lockdown!
The centre is run incredibly well by the manager and her deputy. 10/10 amazing.

This is a fantastic nursery. Our daughter loves going and tells us about what she has done there every day. The range of facilities is extremely good (outdoor space, food provided, play areas and toys). The nursery always looks clean and well maintained. They have been very efficient under the challenging
covid crisis. The staff are lovely and really great with the kids. The activities are both fun and educational and you can really see this in our child's development (speech, table manners, sharing, imaginative play, counting, etc). They are good at engaging the parents too (pre-Covid) and several of us parents have run activities on a voluntary basis (dance class, pottery making, etc). There are also Xmas activities and other celebrations where parents get involved. We are very pleased with the nursery!

My son has been attending Bright Horizons Finsbury Park for about a year (with a few months off at the height of COVID) and he is very happy there. He loves all the staff, who seem really kind, caring and fun. The building is bright inside with lots for the children to do, and unusually for a nursery
in such an urban area, it has really good outdoor space which they use nearly every day. The food seems good, varied and balanced. As working parents, we've appreciated that the staff are pragmatic about minor illness, happy to give calpol with permission, etc, and it makes life easier for us that nappies, milk etc is all included. The only slight negatives are that my son's key person has changed quite a few times (especially post COVID which is understandable) and this hasn't always been communicated promptly or clearly to us. And it's more expensive than other nurseries in the area. But ultimately our son is very happy and we are very glad we chose this as his nursery.

Her journey began at Finsbury Park Nursery in 2013, where she started as a nursery assistant. Through her dedication and hard work, she steadily progressed to become the nursery manager, a role in which she truly thrives.

Job Title: Deputy Manager

Mariam has been working in the early years since 2011, beginning at Finsbury Park in May 2018 as a third in charge and progressing to Deputy Manager.


She holds a Level 3 qualification in childcare and a degree in Early Childhood Studies.
