Mayfield Nursery offers a stimulating learning environment, based in the local university hospital grounds and so ideal for NHS staff and local community members. The focus is on presenting children with the appropriate play and learning for their age group, at the same time as helping to develop individuality.

Mayfield is run by the friendliest family. The team ensure they get to know the children and families, and that the communication stays strong between parents and staff. They are very approachable and responsive.
The carers are all kind and nurturing. They were always keen to ensure our little one
was having fun and to respond to his interests and individualise his care.
My son has multiple allergies (some very severe). They took time to understand his allergies, to work collaboratively to compile and follow a risk assessment and to review/ amend it as he graduated through the different rooms. The food is prepared on-site, and the menu is varied and healthy.
The garden is substantial for a London nursery and well used. They have a plan to add a forest school element which our son would have loved.
Currently, there are hospital building works. This adds the excitement of watching diggers to the journey in/out.
We had to leave due to moving area but already miss everyone very much.

We have been extremely happy with Mayfield Nursery and our daughter really loved her time there. All the staff are extremely friendly and welcoming and we are really sad to leave. I would honestly not hesitate to recommend Mayfield nursery to anyone.

The best and most caring nursery! My daughter started here when she was 10 months old and she instantly loved it. All of the staff are wonderful and take the time to get to know you and your child, caring for them so well when they’re there. My daughter developed a lot of new skills and we were always
sent regular updates so we weren’t missing out. We were so sad to leave this group of wonderful people behind when we moved to NZ.
Highly recommend!

What a lovely friendly place. My twins have loved every second of their time there. One member of staff, in particular, was so kind and caring and the twins spoke about her very fondly. We are very sad to leave but we are moving to the country - if we were staying in London there is no other place I
would want them to go. You are in safe hands!

Mayfield is such a wonderful family-run nursery, I can’t recommend it enough. Our son has been going since he was 10 months old and he absolutely loves it. The staff are so kind and they have some excellent activities for the children and regular themes to support their development.
A few highlights
so far include the Christmas Nativity and receiving Christmas cards from our son with foot/hand prints - something we’ll treasure forever.
The activities support the children’s development and our son has blossomed physically and mentally. They also get outside time which is so important for small children.
We have a happy baby and happy parents thanks to Mayfield!

We were genuinely sad to take our boy out of the Mayfield Nursery due to us relocating. The care and love the staff show for the kids is unbelievable and brings great relief to a working mum.
Mayfield constantly comes up with new interesting activities for the kids and share photos of these using an
app. It's so nice to be able to get a glimpse of what they do during the day.
We miss Mayfield greatly already. I can highly recommend!!

My son just left Mayfield to start Reception this year. I could not thank Mayfield Nursery enough for all their love and support which made my son very confident and happy little schoolboy he is now. He started going to Mayfield when he was just 1 year old from the baby room, the middle room and their
pre-school room, each has excellent qualified staff who are really good with children. They have big space inside and out for all kids to thrive and enjoy.
Mayfield is a family run nursery which made me feel more at ease that my child was well looked after. Each member of staff are excellent with kids and they really help them with their development and growth.
I highly recommend Mayfield Nursery. My son spent his toddlerhood at Mayfield and I couldn’t be any more grateful, it was one of the best decisions I ever made as a parent.
Thank you so much Mayfield from the bottom of our hearts.

My daughter (2 years old) recently left Mayfield as we have moved out of the area. She was looked after by this wonderful team for 10 months. I feel truly indebted to the superb staff at Mayfield for their level of dedication and professionalism when looking after her. I cannot recommend this nursery
highly enough. It is a family-run venture which is immediately evident in the caring nature of all the staff members. This is demonstrable not only in the way they look after the children but also in their relationships with the parents. My little one had the pleasure of integrating into both the baby room and then the middle room. It's obvious that a lot of thought goes into preparing for the day ahead with new activities being introduced almost daily. She really enjoyed her days there and would often speak about the staff fondly at home. Towards the end of her time at Mayfield, I actually struggled to get her to leave at the end of the day! It's a truly wonderful place.

My 2 year old daughter had a wonderful time at Mayfield. It's an incredibly friendly place and she's been made to feel so welcome. The staff are very professional and very caring and the activities are very creative. I would highly recommend it.

Both our children went to Mayfield for the last four years.
The care is exceptional, all the staff are really lovely, caring and affectionate to the children.
It is a family business so it is run with love and not just as a business.
They are always trying to innovate and the addition of the Parentzone
app to receive real-time updates about our child is a real treat and so convenient.
Our children were very happy there all these years and we are sad that it's come to end now that our youngest is starting nursery school.

Our daughter attended Mayfield from 9/17 - 4/19 and experienced learning across all rooms. She always received care and teaching sensitive to her needs. Activities were imaginative and well thought out and our daughter has thrived in all areas at Mayfield.
Mayfield is a unique, family run nursery/preschool
where you really feel part of a special community. We would not hesitate to recommend Mayfield to anyone looking for truly child-centred care.

Mayfield has a family feel with a professional backbone. The family that run Mayfield really care about the children and the staff, which benefits the children. My son is always happy to be there and enjoys the activities he is exposed to. He has improved in his speech and social interactions, sharing
a little better than he used to! The nursery is very relaxed and, unlike many others I visited, doesn't feel like it's being run as a military exercise in health and safety. They take this seriously but it's not the main driver of what they are there to do. They are flexible as well in terms of fitting in extra hours if they can. The environment is super, spacious light and airy with a decent outside space.

We all loved Mayfield! We visited a few nurseries before deciding on sending our son to Mayfield. We chose Mayfield for its friendly and calm atmosphere, and general good feeling we had for the place. We were not disappointed once he started there.
The staff are great with the children; they are patient,
attentive and look after their needs. It is one of the better setups for nurseries we saw with separate sleeping rooms (important for those used to a dark quiet bedroom at home!) distinct play areas but with free flow, each room having access to the garden. They were well equipped with great toys and activities and in the summer have a visiting farm. The nursery is also very clean, the food cooked in-house and much loved by the little one who'd frequently ask for more!
Our son came on in leaps and bounds at this nursery. We would highly recommend the nursery - it feels like a big extended family :)

This is a great nursery. Both of my children have been there and really thrived. The care is outstanding. The staff really love the kids and show it. There is a very good focus on education standards, but not so much that they forget the fun or the support. The food is nutritious and nice. There is
a good range of toys and games. The outside space is a good size and the kids are encouraged to be outside as much as they can be. The costs are reasonable by the standards of SW London. The administration is competent and approachable. All in all, a great place. No safeguarding concerns. After 5 1/2 years, we have no regrets at all at sending our kids there.

Mayfield has been home from home for our children over the last 2 years. My 4-year-old has been there since she was 2 and my twin boys also attended for 6 months. My nephew also attends so I have first-hand experience of all 3 rooms and couldn’t rate the nursery highly enough. The staff treat the children
like they are their own and care and nurture them in such a happy and friendly environment. The facilities are first class (indoors & outdoors) which one of the initial things that attracted me to the nursery. The high ceilings and the ability to separate ages is amazing and the outdoor space is just perfect for my active children.
As it is a family run business you really get a sense of community and the owners are just lovely and so approachable which was so comforting as I was leaving the 3 most important things in my life with them!
As you can probably tell I rate this nursery very highly and guarantee as soon as you have your first visit you will be sold!

My son attended Mayfield for a year. It was his first experience of nursery so we were anxious but the staff at Mayfield are warm, welcoming and understanding and he settled in well with their help. He spent most of the year in the Middle Room and then progressed to the pre-school room. He learnt so
much during his time, not only in terms of education but also socially - the atmosphere in each room is calm and happy and the staff clearly care about the children. I would highly recommend the nursery.

Our daughter has thrived at Mayfield Nursery since starting one year ago. The staff and management are very caring and nurturing and there is a lovely homely atmosphere at Mayfield.
There are a good amount of activities (messy play, arts and crafts, singing, outdoor play) and the menu seems well balanced.
My daughter is always happy to be dropped off in the morning and sometimes doesn't want to leave at the end of the day.

My son enjoyed two very happy years at Mayfield before we sadly left the area and I can honestly say I wouldn't have changed a thing about it. Mayfield is such a lovely nursery in every aspect. The staff are fantastic - so warm and welcoming to the children and the management are equally warm and friendly.


The fact that it is a family ran business is something that can be felt throughout - it is very personal, each child is treated individually and known by everyone who works there.


There are great facilities at Mayfield, with a huge garden that the children spend as much time as possible in. The rooms inside are a really good size too. Small things like the fact that it is easy to park at drop-off/pick-up and the fact that the nursery itself is in a quiet, peaceful place add to the benefits of Mayfield.
I would strongly recommend this nursery to anyone in the area. You can't place a value on feeling completely happy leaving your child somewhere but Mayfield hits the jackpot!
