Our daughter started at Elm Park in September 2022 - we were really nervous about her going to nursery. She was 13 months old and had never been away from either me or her father. But there was no reason to be worried - the Bonsai Room is such a wonderful place for babies. Our key worker, we truly would
have been lost without her. She was so lovely and we felt like our daughter was safe and happy with her - I wish we could keep her as her key worked forever. Another member of staff also in the baby room, I believe she has been at Elm Park for years - she is always so happy and made us feel so welcome. Our only issue is communication could be slightly better. There is now an app, where we do get updates throughout the day, but this can sometimes be a little inconsistent and generic. But other than that, we have no concerns over safety or happiness for our child. We really do recommend.

I am so pleased by the decision I made with my husband to send our son to this nursery. The care has been wonderful from day 1 and continued throughout class transitions. The staff are amazing, friendly and warm which makes me as a parent feel confident. The app is brilliant and provides a source of
connection throughout the day allowing us to see what our little one is up to. Messy play, key learning activities and more!

Our son really loves Elm Park. He joined as a baby and the relationships he has developed with the staff and other children are really loving and special. "Nursery" has been one of his first words because he loves going! The facilities and creativity behind the activities are really excellent, and the
management is getting better and better. Particularly good in the baby room is the separate sleep room with cots, which is different to a lot of other nurseries in the area. Elm Park has such a nice homely feel and I'd recommend it highly.

I am really happy with Elm Park and have sent both my sons there. My eldest son only attended Upper School and was well prepared for primary school. My youngest is still there and has a great bond with all his key workers and the outdoor space is second to none. The new management earlier this year
has improved the whole nursery experience significantly.

My daughter loves Elm Park and we are sending our second child shortly as we have been really impressed with the nursery. As a mother of a very energetic child, the huge garden and playground - which unlike so many other nurseries is situated away from main roads and associated air pollution - is a
big draw for us. But what really makes the nursery are the staff: warm; caring; passionate about children; as well as delivering a structured approach to learning. I've also been impressed with the new manager who has already made her mark on the place ensuring the family atmosphere and good communication with parents remains.
My only criticism would be that some of the rooms/equipment look a bit tired and the place could do with a lick of paint.

I would like to say that I am very happy with Elm Park Nursery, since the new management has taken over for the past few months I can see a lot of positive changes within the nursery. The nursery gives me and my child a Home From Home experience, as the nursery is getting better each day. The staff
and management are amazing they take care of the children so well like it is their own children. The activities that the teachers set up for the children are so interesting even I would love to go and have a play for 5 minutes. The amount of open space they have for the children at the back of the garden is wonderful, I must say I have visited all of the nurseries in Clapham and this nursery took my heart straight away. Thank you Elm Park Nursery.

Our son has adored Elm Park since he first started. All the teachers have been so kind and fun and made learning really enjoyable for him. I'm always impressed by the wide variety of things he learns and makes - he comes home proudly carrying his creations, from Diwali lamps to pizza, and chatting happily
about them. We couldn't be happier with Elm Park.

The nursery and its staff are friendly, personable, and really care about my son. I am happy with the environment. More feedback could be provided at upper school regarding learning and progress with alphabet, counting, etc but it's only the first term. I am sure that will follow.

Elm Park Nursery is great and the fact that our 22-month-old daughter happily runs inside every morning is the best indication for us that she receives excellent care there. The staff are great - lots of activities are organised and good feedback is provided on each child.

Current Review Score: 8.1 (8.088)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.1 (8.088) out of 10 for Elm Park Nursery is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.2 out of 5 from 9 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.9 out of 5 from 6 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.234 for Elm Park Nursery is calculated as follows: ( (70 Excellents x 5) + (13 Goods x 4) + (12 Satisfactorys x 3) + (3 Poors x 2) + (9 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 107 Ratings = 4.234

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 3.854 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Elm Park Nursery is based on 6 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 = 3.6

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 118 number of registered child places is 23.6. 6 Positive Reviews ÷ 23.6 = 0.254

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
