Fatemah's are very strict. You are not allowed in the nursery when collecting or dropping your children and have to wait on the street. The wait times can be very long. The longest I waited was 32 minutes but I would say average waiting time for your child is 12 minutes on collection. You cannot collect
your child ad hoc if before 4pm, you must choose from specific times (from memory 12pm, 2pm or 3pm) and you must book this in, in advance. You are not allowed to leave scooters or bikes (or anything that is not a pushchair) at the nursery and they frequently send emails asking parents not to leave pushchairs unless they really have to.
They continued to nap our child despite us asking them not to.
They charged fees all through the time when they were closed because of lockdown (100% for the first month, 75% the second and 50% the 3rd). This equates to a 4 figure sum we were made to pay over the lockdown period when my children did not attend the nursery at all, if we wished to keep their place. They also refused to furlough staff during this time to try and save parents money because 'they didn't want to'.
They have also not reinstated some services they used to provide pre-covid (such as washing blankets – you now have to take home and wash your child’s blanket every week).
You are also required to provide many things that other nurseries include like sun cream, nappy rash cream, cups, wipes etc.
Current fees for a full-time place for preschool-age children are £1,326 per month.
Would not recommend.

Reply from Fatemah Nurseries at Fatemah Nurseries Ltd

We are sorry to hear about your experience at Fatemah Nursery which you have only expressed after your two children had a successful learning journey through a period of Birth to School age.
COVID-19 was nationalised as a global pandemic since 2019 and continues to be part of our everyday lives. During this uncertain time Fatemah Nursery was a support system for all our customers and ultimately our children including those in our local borough.
All educational settings including Fatemah Nursery had to make difficult but important safe choices; this was implemented via our contingency plan through the local authority which included staggered drop off and collection times to support the government in social distancing but not inconveniencing our customers by having to wait.
The evidence shows that with the staggered timings selected by our customers there was a no wait to insignificant time of waiting.
To support child/children in maintaining a regular routine or pattern we follow a synopsis. This synopsis allows a smooth transition for the child/children in understanding a routine and following the Early Years Curriculum. Customers are able to collect their children at whatever time they wish.
We have two onsite storage facilities accessible to all customers.
Naptime for children at the Nursery is a positive transition. It is communicated by parents to settings regarding their preference and if any change occurs we communicate with parents. We take Parent's consent in these and all matters seriously under the Safeguarding Act.
The opinion mentioned in the review regarding finances, furlough, service and care is untrue. For customers that wish for detailed information regarding our service and care we recommend that this review is not taken in good faith as it is to the contrary.
We pride ourselves in a 30 years running setting with our latest achievements as 'outstanding'.

My daughter loves going there and has a strong close relationship with the staff. They do a good range of activities and have a nice outdoor space. They stayed open throughout the pandemic, except for one week, whilst taking Covid restrictions very seriously. Their communication with parents for management
issues, e.g. fees, Covid restrictions and any specific questions is very good, clear and prompt. They could improve general feedback about the children. The weekly reports on the app are very generic, and verbal feedback at pick up etc is discouraged. Overall, very happy with the nursery and have absolute confidence in their care of my child. Will send our second child there.

Hello Peter, we thank you for your comments and feedback.
The weekly reports are a supporting tool to the 6-weekly review regarding your little ones developmental progress in line with the EYFS.
With the verbal feedback at pick up due to the COVID guidelines, we were encouraging social distancing, but now with relaxed measures, verbal feedback has returned.

Our son has been at Fatemah since October 2019 and we have been so happy with the nursery. He settled in so quickly, clearly loves his time at nursery and has built strong connections with all of the staff. The atmosphere of the nursery is really warm and welcoming, but they also have a really strong
focus on the children’s development and he has learnt so much since he started there. The staff are all professional and kind and the admin is super-efficient.

We searched in detail for the right environment to send our boy before settling on Fatemah, a year on and we could not be happier with that choice. His progression, confidence and structured development has been fantastic. Above all, he is vocally enthusiastic about his carers and peers, a testament
to the positive connections and relationships he has made. Finally, Fatemah has been exemplary in keeping us up to date with his progression and are always approachable and helpful when navigating his care.

I would highly recommend Fatemah Nursery to other families. Our children really enjoy their time at nursery and are well cared for by staff, and have opportunities to learn lots of new skills and socialise with other children. The administration is also excellent, with clear and prompt communication
about any issues.

My son has been at the Nursery since August 2020 and absolutely loves it. He has come on leaps and bounds socially, emotionally and developmentally. Fatemah Nursery have supported with potty training, eating independently and enforcing good manners and positive behaviours. He speaks fondly of the staff
and his friends. His language has developed quickly as when he started he was a reluctant speaker. The nursery are fantastic at relying his week at nursery and what will happen the following week, so activities can be supported at home. Thank you so much Fatemah Staff!

Both my children have attended Fatemah Day Nursery. My younger one is still there. The staff are really focused on the wellbeing and education of the children and mine have always been happy and thriving there.
The aunties are dedicated and genuinely caring and affectionate towards the children. Together
with the management team, they work with the parents to support the children throughout their time there.
We have been very lucky with Fatemah Day Nursery for the care given to our children and the peace of mind given to us parents, able to go to work knowing they're in such good hands.
