The Nursery is near Tate Britain, not far from Pimlico tube. It's set on three levels with separate floors for each age group and two gardens.

The staff inspire children to learn through curiosity and discovery. There are so many activities to try, from small world play with mythical creatures, to woodwork, cooking, yoga, climbing, and more. The children love to explore too, enjoying outings to St James’s Park and Tate Britain.

A dedicated chef prepares all meals using healthy recipes from LEYF’s menu.

My two-year-old son attends Marsham Street Nursery (as did his older sister) full time. He settled quickly and has made a lot of friends. He loves the range of activities especially "water play" and dressing up in different costumes.
The children seem to spend a lot of time learning nursery rhymes
and reading stories. I have been pleasantly surprised when he comes home and sings an entire rhyme.
The meals are very healthy and there is always an alternative meal choice available. He loves the cosy sensory room and the outings are very good, like the recent trip to see the fire engines which my son loved.
The staff are also very friendly and caring. I have noticed almost every morning he says "I go nursery " in an exciting way and often the same thing when he returns home in the evening. I think this is a great indicator of how happy he is at the nursery so a special thank you to all the staff.

The Marsham Street Community Nursery has extremely competent and reliable teachers and management. Very friendly and supportive to parents, not to mention the excellent curriculum for our children. My daughter is so happy every day to go to the nursery, which shows what a great job they are doing. I
love the diversity of the teachers as well as the children there. Also, the menu provided is wonderful.

An excellent nursery. I fully recommend.
My child started around 1yr old and now 3+ yrs old so she went through all rooms. She is now a very happy and bright child. Staff know her needs and easy to approach. Management is also excellent. Parents are also very nice and international as one can expect
from central London.

Marsham Street Nursery is absolutely delightful! Our son is well looked after, stimulated and happy. From his very first day (when I was a nervous wreck!), we were made to feel welcome. He has flourished with very dedicated and kind staff and a well-resourced baby room.

Marsham Street is a fantastic nursery and my 2 year old absolutely loves attending. Both the outdoor space and use of indoor space, great. The staff are wonderful, and whilst turnover is higher than I'd like, they're all still friendly, capable, and my child enjoys the company of all the staff with
which he spends regular time. His key worker fully understands his style of learning and how best to help him progress. The balance between learning and play is exactly what I was looking for in a nursery and the staff continue to improve their range of fun and interesting activities. The food cooked on site is prepared to a very high standard and is thoroughly enjoyed by my child, however, at breakfast, the children are offered corn flakes and crispy rice cereal neither of which I think are nutritious enough so I provide a cooked breakfast beforehand. Overall I am extremely happy with Marsham Street and continue to recommend it to any parents that are looking for their child.

My son has attended Marsham Street since the age of one and he is now two and a half. My husband and I have been delighted with the love, care and attention shown by the nursery staff from the very beginning and consistently throughout his time here. In the baby room, every effort was made to make him
feel secure and settled, and also to reassure and support us as parents, clearly nervous to leave him for the first time. Now in the toddler room, the staff are equally as caring, supportive and enthusiastic - focused on his development and well-being. What is also worth mentioning here is how much effort the nursery puts into engaging with the parents through parties and events, and also the thought that is put into special visits and activities for the children. Before enrolling at the nursery, we had a couple of nannies and I can say without a doubt that I felt so much more comfortable leaving him at Marsham Street - it was the best decision we've made. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend!

Our 1.5-year-old loves running in to greet her friends and teachers every morning.


The teachers are kind, caring and attentive. Nurturing and sharing are key attributes and it’s evident that the children practice this on a daily basis.


Daily feedback and parent's evenings give us insightful

updates on her interests and developments.


Parents are invited to tea parties on Mothers’ Day, Fathers’ Day and Christmas. The staff run workshops for parents to learn about Makaton and how children learn through play.


Daily activities vary and provide ample opportunities for children to explore and discover in groups and on their own. My child loves to sing and read with her friends at circle time. She enjoys exploring in the sensory room and running around in the two outdoor gardens situated on premise.


Balanced meals are prepared fresh on-site every day. The nursery manager is hands-on and addresses parents’ requests promptly and in a very satisfactory manner.

I visited five nurseries in the area. Very pleased that I have made the right decision to send my son to Marsham Street. He started at 6.5 months and absolutely loves it.
The staff are very caring and there are always enough staff in the room. There are two outdoor play areas which is a big plus in
the area.
He also loves the sensory room there. He has made so much development progress at the nursery.
The food is well prepared on site. We are also very pleased with the overall security of the nursery. We have already registered for our second unborn baby at this nursery.

Our son has been at this nursery for over 3 years, and he loves it! We have had tears leaving nursery on more than one occasion as he doesn't want to leave, which I think says how much he enjoys it! The staff are brilliant, creating a range of interesting and fun activities. We have only had one minor
issue on the food front when temporary staff were there. I have looked at other nurseries and none had such a warm, caring atmosphere.

Hello, my name is Merita and I joined LEYF in 2011. I trained as a lawyer in Kosovo before moving to the UK in 1992, when I started working with young families and children. I am a passionate supporter of LEYF’s social purpose to give all children the very best start in life, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds who might otherwise not be able to access high-quality Early Years education and care.
