Montessori by Busy Bees Green Gables is the oldest Montessori school having been established in October 1989. It currently caters for eighty children aged three months to six years, 51 weeks of the year, 7:30am – 6pm.

The specifically designed nursery comprises a large baby room, one toddler room, one transition room and a pre-school room. Children also have the added advantage of a large 9000 sq ft garden.

Offering a Montessori programme, Montessori by Busy Bees Green Gables teaches Spanish, Song & Move which further enhances the children’s curriculum.

I want to thank Montessori by Busy Bees Shadwell for looking after my child so well. He always come out happy and with lots of tales to tell - they had fun in the garden and playground.
Staff are very supportive during challenging drop offs which I highly appreciate as a full time working mum.
He
just loves it there with the great food and doing tons of activities.

Our baby is incredibly happy at this nursery. All the staff members know her by name and she has a big smile each time she comes in and sees familiar adults. The children spend lots of time outdoors and the environment is very safe for them to explore their surroundings autonomously. I like the fact
that different age groups sometimes mix, which allows our little ones to observe older kids. The staff are all very attentive to the children's needs and I feel there is great back-and-forth communication with the parents. What I particularly enjoy is the nursery's app through which I know what our daughter has eaten, and how much she slept and at the end of the day we get a written report of what she has done during the day with some photos, which always brings a big smile on my face, as I get a glimpse of her day without having been there!

Our little one started in the baby room and is now really enjoying the toddler room. She loves her key worker, rushing in every morning to give her a cuddle. She's always happy to go to nursery and talks about all her friends at home. The activities are varied, with lots of themed days. The garden is
amazing. We can see from the app that she eats and sleeps well at nursery. She comes home remarkably clean given all the messy play. We feel she is very well cared for and feels safe at nursery. Pick up and drop off are flexible which is very helpful. It makes our lives a lot easier knowing how happy she is to be at nursery.

Really lovely nursery! My daughter has attended since April 2022 and she’s always loved her time there. The staff are friendly and we get daily photos and updates about her day via the app. There are regular updates about her learning and development posted there too with details of her progress for
different milestones.
The nursery has a great garden in which the kids spend most of their days (a massive bonus for central London). They celebrate a diverse range of religious and non-religious events throughout the year learning about different cultures and topics. My daughter particularly enjoys the regular Spanish classes on Thursdays. She has made lots of great friends here and I highly recommend it to others.

Highly recommend this nursery, my child has been attending since October 2023. This nursery offers longer session times than other nurseries we were looking at for the funded 2-year-old places. And supply nappies/breakfast/lunch/snacks which other nurseries do not provide. The app that is available
is very useful as the staff update me on my child throughout his time with them. I feel my child has grown in confidence due to attending this nursery and the activities offered to him are very varied and well thought out.

My twin boys have been attending Green Gables Shadwell since January 2023, when they were only six months old. The baby room staff have been very welcoming and have attended to both boys' needs. My twins come home happy and are always learning something new. We get daily photos of what they have been
up to at nursery, and I can see that the nursery food must be tasty as they always eat all! We are so lucky to have this nursery right on our doorstep, especially with such a large garden (which is difficult to find in central London). We look forward to the new things they will learn as they are moving to the toddler room in September.

Montessori by Busy Bees Green Gables has been fantastic for our little one, she took a little while to adjust but the staff were fantastic and she now goes in and shouts 'bye mummy!' as she runs into the class. We always get prompt response when we have a question. It is always clean and they have been
great with potty training. They also have a big garden where the kids spend a lot of time outside which is great.

We're so grateful for this nursery for our 1 and 2-year-old. The staff are amazing, providing regular updates and a caring environment that encourages growth and development. Our kids love the private outside garden and variety of activities that stimulate their curiosity and imagination. It's heartwarming
to see how much our children have thrived since joining the nursery (they were 5 months). They've become more confident, sociable, and eager to learn new things. We're thrilled to see how much they've progressed in terms of their language skills, motor skills, and cognitive development. The exceptional care provided by the staff gives us complete peace of mind, knowing that our children are in safe hands. We highly recommend this nursery to any parent looking for a safe, stimulating, and loving environment for their children.

Our son attends Montessori by Busy Bees Green Gables nursery and seems very happy there. He started in a baby room when he was nearly one year old, and a few months ago he transitioned to a toddler room. Staff is really good in both rooms, very caring and attentive. There is always lots of activities,
which our son loves. When the weather allows, the outside garden is a great place for kids to play and get some fresh air. We can see that our son had got a lot of progress in speech development and grew his confidence tremendously. Reports through the day in the app is very useful, as well as oral reports during pick up time, really helps to get connected and informed. The only concern is that during winter time, it’s not enough light around the nursery, in the late afternoon. Otherwise very good experience for children and parents.

What a lovely nursery and wonderful staff! My daughter loves it there and the staff really are wonderful - very attentive and caring. Great nursery with very friendly and accommodating team, kids really have an amazing time getting involved in all sorts of interactive fun activities from singing, messy play, role play and learning social interaction. Our son has made great progress in getting a sense of confidence around the group
of kids and made some friends too.
Huge garden is a top benefit as the kids can roam free in a safe environment whilst the supportive team oversees them.
The chef does a fabulous job introducing new variations of food in an attractive way so that kids get to eat food they won’t have at home.
Especially happy with the rapport and relationship building with the child's key persons and all teachers as through the classes, exceptional feedback loop and trust from management. Well done, can highly recommend.

My daughter went to Green Gables for about 7 months until we moved away and I only have great things to say about them.
She received excellent care throughout her time there, from settling into the baby room to moving to a toddler room. We saw her key person taking care of her from afar and it was
a genuinely sweet interaction.
The management team is responsive and transparent. Their activities were diverse and entertaining for the kids. The parent app was constantly updated and we'd always get a nice summary of the day and a pic or two.


No hesitation in recommending them!

My son loves going to Green Gables. He started to attend when he was 2 after the lockdowns and a change of nursery. He has been receiving excellent care ever since. He loves the staff taking care of him. The management is very responsive via emails and the communication for events or updates is excellent.
I cannot thank the staff enough for taking such good care of our son who is now more independent and confident. I am really impressed at what he learnt to do there at such a young age. We also love the garden and the parent's app which allows you to see what he has eaten, the activities and photos! I highly recommend.

Our son has been going to Green Gables Nursery for 4 months now and we are very happy with the nursery, the staff, his progress and their handling of Covid based restrictions.


In particular, the manager and his key worker(s) have gone above and beyond to help him adjust to not being with his Mum

and Dad. They made such an effort to help him settle and we are really grateful. Every morning when I drop him he is so happy to be there he runs down the stairs into the keyworkers arms!


Both my partner and I have the app and they are very good at updating us with info on what he has eaten, how his day is going and pics of him having fun.


They have one of the best outdoor spaces of a nursery in the area and we regularly see pictures of our son having fun.


I would recommend this nursery.

The nursery has been a very supportive place for my son, who is trilingual, and so found it challenging at the beginning. His English has come along greatly and he enjoys the nursery. The staff are very friendly and helpful, my emails get responded to very quickly and any queries are resolved as quickly.
The management is very responsible and kept us up to date during the lockdown, their hygiene standards are high and the manager works extra hard to ensure all issues are attended to promptly. The large garden facility has been resurfaced recently, it is a good large space. Overall, I have felt that my son is comfortable and safe at the nursery and I would definitely recommend it.

My two children currently attending this nursery, the nursery has a great rapport with parents. The management and staff go above and beyond to make the children happy, and children have lots of confidence and independence. The management team is always finding ways to strive to make the nursery even
better, and they communicate with parents regularly. The nursery has a very large outdoor area that the children have so much fun in. I am always kept up to date on a daily basis via the nursery app. I would recommend this nursery to all my family and friends if you want your children to be happy this is the nursery to send them to.

From our first visit to the nursery, I didn't doubt that it was the right one! First of all, the rooms are quite spacious and so is the outdoor play area. Second, the team provides all the necessary support to parents, communication with them is very fast and efficient. On the part of the teachers,
you can see that they love their work because of the way they take care of your child and especially because of the joy that my daughter feels when she sees them. They have an app that keeps me informed about the progress and the day to day of my daughter. I definitely recommend it!

I have been working in childcare for over 12 years, working my way up from being an apprentice to now managing nurseries. I am a qualified Level 3 in childcare and hold a Business and Management qualification Level 5. 


Working with children is a passion and I thrive on supporting them develop through learning and play. I have twin boys who are currently attending Montessori by Busy Bees and I am confident it is the best environment for them to grow and develop new skills. 


I thoroughly enjoy supporting and mentoring staff to provide children with exceptional childcare on a daily basis, and I believe parent partnerships is key to working with children.
