  • Maria Montessori School - Bayswater, London
The Maria Montessori School in Bayswater offers authentic child-led Montessori education for children from 2-12 years in a beautiful building with outside space to explore.

Each child is nurtured as an individual in a gentle and welcoming environment that encourages confidence, creativity, empathy and friendship.

Children explore hands-on learning materials with the trained AMI teachers, by themselves and with friends. Children of different ages spend time together with older children acting as role models. Children gain the building blocks they need in numeracy and literacy as well as following their passions to explore art, music, science or wherever their interests lie.

The inviting Bayswater classroom has stained-glass windows and wooden floors and is meticulously cared for by the teachers and the children. The garden offers a secure and sheltered space for the children to exercise, play and learn about wildlife.

A specialist caterer provides high-quality hot lunches which the children enjoy serving and eating with their teachers and friends.

Families are supported by the school with talks for parents and open days. Parents also visit to share cultural customs or to talk about their job or to introduce a new baby.

Many children later go on to the elementary class (for 6-12-year-olds) which is located on the same site.

The Maria Montessori School Bayswater is part of the Maria Montessori Institute, the only Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) teacher training centre in the UK.

This funding is only for the delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage requirements. Fees are payable for any additional hours your child attends and for our School’s specialist Montessori education. We will automatically claim this funding at the appropriate time for parents and it will be reflected on your termly fee invoice. Parents should inform us if their child attends another school/nursery and is already in receipt of funding. A child qualifies for the EEF a term AFTER their third birthday until the beginning of the term AFTER their fifth birthday – i.e. before they reach compulsory school age. For example, if your child turned 3 in January 2023, the funded hours will apply from April 2023. Please email the School Administrator if you require further details.
