London Fields Nursery & Pre-School provides childcare and education to children from birth to 5 years old.

They are based in Hackney, not far from London Fields train station. It's a roomy nursery with plenty of natural light, including separate areas for babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers, and a garden for all-weather outdoor play.

The children enjoy a wide range of stimulating activities with the experienced team. Messy arts play, gardening, woodwork, science experiments like ‘Volcanoes’, chopping veg in the home corner using real utensils, obstacle courses, cooking, and more!

A dedicated chef provides all meals from scratch using healthy recipes from LEYF’s nutritious menu.

A fantastic settling in period considering the covid guidelines, still ensuring I felt reassured, being caring towards my child and offering brilliant play experiences. I love the garden, the building and the interaction and updates from teachers.

Our 3 year old son has been taken care of by the wonderful staff of the London Fields Nursery (previously Market Nursery) for a little over two years now, and we couldn't be happier with his development, and with the relationships he has formed with the other kids as well as the carers.


The nursery

in itself is lovely, and since its very recent refurbishment, it's even more of an amazing space for the children to strive in. Our son particularly loves the playground, and the activities organised by the staff (that we can follow with the parent app) are stimulating and fun.


Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a warm and cosy nursery in East London.

Market Nursery have taken great care of my children during their early years. They have gained a great foundation in their early year's education and developed key social skills. The team are a very caring and supportive group of individuals, who take a genuine and keen interest in all the children
that attend.

Although my daughter no longer attends Market Nursery she still speaks about her time spent there to this day.
When she speaks about Market Nursery her memories are of the friends that she made (who she is still close too now) and many trips that she attended.
As a parent, my child started her
school journey as a confident, happy, positive, eager to learn little girl, which I strongly believe is due to her time spent at Market Nursery.

Now that my Son has gone to "big" school, it is my daughter's pleasure to go to Market Nursery. The most important thing for us is the Staff, and here at Market Nursery, they are absolutely fantastic, while so many Nurseries feel clinical and institutional, this is a home away from home for the children
and babies alike. Both of our children have loved every day they have been at Market Nursery, they always come home happy and fulfilled.

A warm and caring day nursery for children up to five years old, open from 8 am to 6 pm. Our two kids (aged four years old and eighteen months) have been there for more than a year and love it!! They've made plenty of friends and they love their teachers.
In general, children at any age feel welcome
and happy and they learn and progress through play with the dedicated and friendly staff and with their peers. Their activities are very stimulating and imaginative - for instance, my daughter is now a great cook, which I wouldn't have expected from sending her to nursery!
The place is a charming old building, surrounded by a primary school, in a very quiet street. The building has three floors and a big garden/playground. The nursery is divided into three sections - one per floor, babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers - and is very mixed and inclusive, which benefits to all the children.
The nursery is a charity, and there are also plenty of opportunities for parents to get involved.

My now 6-year-old daughter was the first baby at Market Day Nursery and right from the off, it was clear we had made the right choice for our daughter. Our son, now 13 months, is following in his sister's footsteps.
The Market Day Nursery is caring, supportive, friendly... just what you want for the
first steps in your child's education. Both my children have built strong relationships with the staff and are always cheerful going to nursery and on collection. I often remember my daughter wanting to stay for longer to finish an activity when she moved into the 'bigger' children's rooms.


There is a good balance of indoor and outdoor facilities to stimulate the children. We have attended trips with the children off-site and seen first hand the staff motivation to offer new experiences for all the children.
The other children and parents are also very warm.
I would recommend Market Day Nursery as a fantastic start for any family.

Our twin boys have been attending this nursery full time for almost 10 months. They started when they were just 6 months old and from the beginning, they were really well taken care of.


The staff is truly lovely and they very quickly created close bonds with the boys. The nursery offers a warm,

friendly and stimulating environment. The boys smile every morning when they see the entrance of the nursery. We would not hesitate to recommend it!

This is a wonderful place to leave your child while you work. I had my son at Market Day Nursery from when he was 8 months until he started school last year. Now my little daughter started there, again at 8 months. Both of my children always love going there. I believe this is because of the loving
and warm-hearted staff who have a fantastic feeling how to deal with each and every situation in the very best way.
This is a very happy place and I admire the creativity with which the staff does all sorts of arts activities and events.
The buggy shed and garden need some upgrading, but I know the nursery is looking into ways to finance some improvements.
I can highly recommend this nursery.
