Funding & Fees Guide for Mouse Hole Nursery School SW11

  • All of our kindergartens offer the government universal 15 hour funding, which provides funding for a nursery education place for up for 15 hours per week to all 3-4 year olds.

Children are eligible for the funding from the term after they turn 3. The child’s 3rd birthday needs to occur on or before March 31st, August 31st and December 31st to be eligible for the funding from the following term.

We also offer a number of full day places, which will include the 30 funded hours for those families that meet the government eligibility criteria.

We will apply to the borough council on behalf of parents once a child is eligible. The funding provided does not cover the total cost of placing a child at The Kindergartens, therefore we charge an additional hours and services package. The additional services charge is due to the cost of providing qualified staff of a high calibre; maintaining a smaller teacher to child ratio; the provision of peripatetic staff to deliver extra curricular activities including sport, music/drama and dance, in addition to Forest School, snacks and other consumables.

    The funded hours are offered between 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. each day.

Please call our admissions team to discuss the fees for your chosen setting.

    Fee sheet available upon request.

The school is fantastic. The teachers are so kind to the children, very interactive and family-focused. The well-being and development of the children is always put first and the teachers are great to talk to.
The space is perfect and a close walk to the common, so it feels like the children are always
doing something.
We have sent both our children here and are only moving as the eldest is leaving Mouse House - highly recommend it and will be sad to say goodbye.

My son is extremely happy at Mouse Hole, he looks forward to his time there and always talks about his day and his teachers excitedly. I cannot praise the ladies enough, they are kind and caring and I feel like they genuinely care about him and the other children at nursery. After drop off, I never
leave feeling worried about him as I know he is in safe hands and will be having so much fun.

Genuinely very impressed with the nursery. They keep the children in small groups, they update the app appropriately, very communicative especially the head teacher. My child is very well taken care of.

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.9 (8.860) out of 10 for Mouse Hole Nursery School SW11 is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 4 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.0 out of 5 from 4 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.818 for Mouse Hole Nursery School SW11 is calculated as follows: ( (36 Excellents x 5) + (8 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 44 Ratings = 4.818

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 4.042 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Mouse Hole Nursery School SW11 is based on 4 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 = 3.375

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 30 number of registered child places is 6. 4 Positive Reviews ÷ 6 = 0.667

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
