Noddy’s Nursery (Gwendolen Avenue) provides childcare and education in a beautiful and safe setting. The nursery is divided into four baby rooms on the ground floor, each with changing facilities, and three main school classrooms on the first floor. Each classroom has its own en-suite bathroom and changing facilities to encourage and promote potty training.

Following the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), activities at the nursery are tailored to children’s individual needs and interests to ensure they reach their full potential. Extra-curricular activities such as drama and sport enable children to pursue specific interests and hobbies. Parents receive daily verbal reports from staff when collecting their children, while official parent and key carers meetings take place once a term.

Children at Noddy’s are cared for by qualified, DBS-checked carers, whose qualifications range from NVQ levels two to six, diplomas in child care, qualified teacher status, and NNEBs in nursery nursing. Staff receive continuous in-house training to ensure that their knowledge and experience is up-to-date and in line with the EYFS. The nursery welcomes children of all abilities and has dedicated Special Education Needs and Disabilities Coordinators (SENDCOs).

The nursery provides healthy, nutritionally-balanced meals and caters for special dietary requirements. Baby food and formula are tailored to individual requirements. Baby-led weaning is supported at Noddy’s Nursery (Gwendolen Avenue).

My son is 3 years old. He loves going to Noddy's. Staff are very friendly and he has made a number of friends in his room. The daily activities are amazing. He does crafts, singing, phonics, plays in the garden, learns about seasons etc. He also does small sports, music, drama and is about to start
French. My son is always given opportunities to learn further. All staff clearly follow policies and are consistent in their approach. Managers are knowledgeable as well as approachable. The food is fantastic and children's needs are always taken into account.

The staff and the other children make Noddy's a very special happy place. They went through a phase of quite high staff turnover a year or so ago, but I think the management have listened to the staff's concerns and this has been rectified.
My son has special needs and his key carers were all brilliant,
dedicated and went the extra (several) miles. He was very well socialised when he moved to a specialist setting and has thrived since.
My daughter has now moved on to Reception at school and has settled in very easily because she was so well prepared. Her literacy and numeracy are at the top of her class. She is also mature amongst her peers and is loving the school environment and learning in general because the Aqua Room staff made sure she was ready.
We are still in touch with all her nursery friends and their families and she has a very healthy social life outside of school as a result. And we have also made "friends for life" in a number of the other parents.

I have had two children at Noddy's for 3+ years each, and I cannot recommend the nursery highly enough! Exceptionally good care, the kids LOVED all the key workers (in fact my oldest one insisted on inviting hers to her 4th birthday party :). Everything runs smoothly, the administration is well organised
and efficient, food is better than what I cook (I am told, on good authority), the activities they do are just exceptional (tennis! woodwork! small sports! music with Jane! dancing! etc., etc., etc.). The kids spend a good amount of time outside too, and the routines are flexible enough to accommodate individual requirements (e.g. my little one still naps while most of his group doesn't, so he goes into another class for his nap). The girls are so very kind, and obviously passionate about the kids, the job, etc.
We will miss Noddy's dearly once our little one leaves next summer and wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone considering a nursery place.
