We recently moved our son to Pippa Pop-ins and we are really pleased with this decision. The staff are fantastic - warm and kind but also set boundaries and manners are really emphasised. The food is amazing - he is eating so well. The facilities are lovely - incredibly clean but cosy and welcoming.
It is a really structured day with lots of activities. Overall it is a fantastic environment and whilst expensive we think that it is worth it.

We couldn't be happier with Pippa Pop-ins. Our son started at the beginning of this term and it was very easy for him to ease into the school. He loves the teachers, his classmates and even the food. In a short period of time, he has made very good progress in being more independent and developing his
language and fine motor skills. Stepping into the nursery feels like stepping into a fairy tale.

The teachers at the school are very kind to the children. I can feel that my child has become more confident and more willing to make friends, collaborate with peers, and play with toys together. They have discovered my child's interest in drawing and singing. Additionally, I can clearly see an improvement
in my child's thinking and cognitive abilities.

Both my daughters have been at the nursery from day 1. We couldn't be happier. The quality of the staff is outstanding. The teachers are kind, caring and nurturing. They teach the children everything from self-care, independence, academics, to good manners - how to greet and how to eat with a fork and
knife (my 3-year-old can roll her spaghetti better than me!). The approach to academics is absolutely incredible and the nursery provides a fantastic head start for reception. Some kids are able to write their names when they are 2/3 years old and some kids start reading when they are 3/4. There are plenty of varied activities and the daily schedule is well organised. The teachers are also amazing at teaching the kids boundaries. The management is also incredible and they always addressed every concern we might have had. The food is very healthy and varied. My kids eat healthy food they would never eat at home. The nursery is immaculately clean. We are incredibly grateful.

My three children all went to Pippa Pop-ins and I can't think of anything I've been unhappy with. The quality of education and the gentle, playful method of teaching surpassed my expectations. My children have all become genuine lovers of learning. They have been genuinely loved and were so sad to leave
the nursery. To this day they go back to see their teachers whenever they can. The staff have always been friendly to me as a parent and the Head spent meaningful time brainstorming with me which schools would fit my child best and why.

Pippa Pop-ins is a second home for our daughter. She has always felt comfortable and happy to be there. All the teachers know her and greet her by name each day. Her group teachers have been caring, loving and thoughtful and understood exactly what she needs each day to thrive. The nursery communicates
regularly with us, and any request or question I've had has been dealt with in a timely and professional manner. We always feel it is a happy place and we are confident our daughter is in the best hands possible. Quite simply - the best!

Current Review Score: 8.9 (8.864)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.9 (8.864) out of 10 for Pippa Pop-ins is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 6 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.0 out of 5 from 6 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.889 for Pippa Pop-ins is calculated as follows: ( (64 Excellents x 5) + (8 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 72 Ratings = 4.889

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 3.975 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Pippa Pop-ins is based on 6 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 = 3.6

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 80 number of registered child places is 16. 6 Positive Reviews ÷ 16 = 0.375

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
