Bright Horizons Surbiton Day Nursery and Preschool is located in Surbiton, Surrey, in the UK. The nursery provides care for children aged from 3 months to 5 years old, and is open from 7:00am to 6.30pm, Monday to Friday. Located just a 10-minute walk from Surbiton rail station and with ample parking, the nursery is ideal for parents who commute each day.

The nursery offers a range of programs, including baby and toddler care, preschool education, and after-school care. The facility has a dedicated baby room, toddler room, and preschool room, as well as a large outdoor play area for children to explore.

The nursery is set in a spacious, converted Victorian detached house in the residential area of Surbiton, within the catchment of schools in Surbiton and Tolworth areas. The stunning rooms are full of age-specific, specialist wooden furniture and resources. The staff are friendly, experienced and highly qualified and are on hand to conduct a personal nursery tour at a time to suit you.

Bright Horizons uses a EYFS framework to promote and support education, care and development. The nursery is well equipped with a touch screen computer in their pre-school room, which helps children to prepare for school using their chosen literacy and numeracy programs. They run growing enhancement programs as part of their nursery day which includes growing readers, writers and mathematicians.

The nursery's adventure garden has its own Hobbit House, stage area, nature garden and wobbly road track all set within separate age-appropriate areas, with a separate garden for babies and toddlers.

Asquith Surbiton Day Nursery & Preschool provides excellent care for our daughter. The preschool staff team, along with the management team, have created a friendly, fun environment in which our daughter is flourishing. The activities provided, from science, numeracy, and literacy to cooking, singing
and art is well thought out and inspiring. Over the last 6 months, we have been very impressed by the newly established preschool staff team, who each bring unique skills to the classroom, and the overall management of the nursery.

What a transformation Carlie has made! We’ve gone from planning to take our eldest daughter out to feeling really happy with how things are going and ready to start settling our youngest daughter in. The preschool children are learning a lot and seem to really enjoy it. My daughter astounded us by reciting
the Greek numbers up to 10. Something we cannot even get close to doing ourselves. Added extras like this have really renewed our confidence. The new team in place of temps are also really good and the consistency has really benefited Arabella. We don’t have anymore tears at drop off. Thank you!

My son settled into the nursery very easily 3 and a half years ago and has been happy and had lovely carers throughout his stay. His allergies were catered to and now he has outgrown them. The communal meals with his peers have helped him incorporate the previously forbidden foods into his diet really
well - much better than at home! He has been well prepared for starting school, we're really surprised and impressed by his ability to read easy words and do basic sums.

Our daughter attends pre-school full time. She is often one of the last to be picked up and I still have trouble getting her out of the building; she enjoys it so much she's not ready to go home. To me, this is a testament to the fantastic care that she receives. I've seen Asquith Surbiton Day Nursery
& Pre-school go from strength to strength, especially in the past year. The management team has taken advantage of local amenities, introducing new activities such as Forest School (which she loved) and trips to the Rose Theatre. The back garden is amazing; there's much emphasis on outdoor play and connecting with nature (such as growing their own vegetables). She's always well fed and the food is delicious (I've tried it). Finally, the quality of the care and teaching that our daughter receives by all staff is excellent. My daughter has formed great relationships with many members of staff, and it's obvious they genuinely care about her. I would recommend without hesitation.

My son has been attending Surbiton Day Nursery in the toddler room since January this year and we have been very impressed with the care he has received and with the nursery in general. The management team are great - they are very efficient, helpful, friendly, and welcoming and have always taken an
active interest in my son's wellbeing. The nursery staff directly looking after my son on a daily basis are fantastic and have gone out of their way to help my son settle in and enjoy his days at the nursery. They provide thorough feedback at the end of each day and are genuinely interested in my son's development. Most telling is that my son himself loves the nursery and the staff and thoroughly enjoys and looks forward to going to nursery. The garden is fantastic and I love that they spend a lot of time outside.

My son has attended Asquith Surbiton Day Nursery for 2.5 years and absolutely loves it. At each stage from baby room to pre-school, he has thrived due to the care and attention he has received. The Nursery staff are all friendly and helpful and the management team are approachable and always available
for a chat. The recent leadership change has I feel improved the nursery even more with new initiates such as Forest School and a lending library being introduced. Lastly, the environment is always clean and tidy and the amazing garden space is a brilliant area for the children to both learn and let
Off some steam. I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone looking at childcare options.

Both of my children are at the nursery.
They do so many activities, in the nursery and out, from going to Forrest school the theatre, trips to the park to see the ducks and the local library.
They have had the opportunity to meet the police, their dogs even a police horse visited them! Ambulance staff,
dentist, they have so much to tell me about when they come home!


Both our girls love going in in the mornings and they adore their workers, who give them lots of love and cuddles. Even though they have a group of children to look after have very special relationships with them.


They eat better at nursery than they do at home! With the daily freshly prepared meals and sleep well at nap time.


When there is a query about something, the team are very approachable and professional in their responses.


I have been so impressed and happy with the experience, and have recommended to our friends who are pregnant.
Keep up the good work and thank you so much for looking after our girls so well!

My daughter has been very happy at Surbiton Day nursery and we have been extremely impressed by the whole set-up. The enthusiastic staff create a caring, nurturing and happy environment for the children and tailor activities to focus on each individual child's interests and development needs.
There
is a real focus on learning through play and I have been very impressed with the way the pre-school team are preparing the children in advance of their transition to school in September.
The garden is amazing and the children get lots of outdoor play time in all seasons.
There are plenty of opportunities for the children to enjoy experiences outside of the nursery setting - my daughter loves her weekly visits to Forest school and regular trips to the Rose Theatre.
Overall we have had an extremely positive experience and would highly recommend Surbiton Day Nursery.

We have been delighted with the progress that our children have made at nursery in such a caring environment. They love going thanks to the care and attention that goes into running the nursery, from the Management through to the staff looking after the children on a day-to-day basis. The catering is
excellent due to the fantastic kitchen team, who often work with the children to make food together. We have always been so impressed with the time taken to manage the individual needs of the child, whether it be related to dietary requirements or learning outcomes. All the staff are hugely dedicated and cheerful and create many initiatives which are very popular amongst the children, such as the introduction of the Forest School in the Pre-School Room, or the Committee Board in the Nursery Room. The way in which Pre-School children (and parents!) are being supported with the transition to primary is particularly impressive. It is a great place for our children's early years!

Our family's experience of the Surbiton Nursery has been overwhelmingly positive. My daughter settled well in the baby room and has now progressed through all of the rooms over the years. The staff are knowledgeable and have supported my husband and I through the challenges of first-time parenthood
from sleep training, progressing to her 'big girl bed', potty training and more. But what stands out for me is the genuine care and desire to support the development of the children. Asides from having Mary Poppins on site, I'm not sure I could ask for much more.

Out little girl has a wonderful time at the nursery. The staff are wonderful and caring. The garden space is great and there are loads of activities.
Food quality is okay and recently improved. The nursery is a bit expensive compared with competition though it operates early start and late pick-up.

Job Title: Nursery Manager

Krissa has worked in childcare for the past 14 years with 7 of them working for Bright Horizons Surbiton. She started off working as a qualified member of the Toddler room and worked her way up to the Management Team.


Krissa is a very passionate worker who enjoys seeing the children's development progress over time. She thrives for outstanding practice within the nursery and has a BH Award for excellent parent partnerships.

Job Title: Deputy Manager

Philomena has worked in childcare for over 12 years, 9 of which have been working for Bright Horizons Surbiton. Philomena started off working in nursery class while completing her CACHE Level 3, which gave her the chance to gain skills in working with children between the ages of 0-5 years.


Philomena enjoys meeting new families and showing them around and is particularly passionate about preparing the preschool children for their transition to school.
