We have had a great experience. Staff in Buttercups are brilliant with the children and my son settled in so quickly. We have been extremely happy with our experience so far.

My son started at Busy Bees Perivale 10 months ago. He was moving from the nursery he had been attending as a baby so it was not an easy transition initially. He enjoys going to nursery now and his teachers are often mentioned and even part of his imaginative play when at home. He needs no coaxing to
go to nursery and that by itself is a blessing for any parent!

In my experience over the past year, I found Busy Bees has very efficient and friendly staff, extremely clean facilities including a big, cheerfully designed external play area and food cooked fresh on site by friendly chefs. The nursery managers are quick to respond to queries and requests. Also worth mentioning is the Parent Zone online portal. I enjoy its Gallery feature where you can view pictures of your child doing activities etc. I also appreciate the considerable effort and expense that Busy Bees puts into organising various events for children and parents through the year.

My child has been attending Busy Bees Perivale for 6 weeks and loves it. He has settled in really well and is very happy when I collect him at the end of the day. The standard of care is excellent and I trust every worker to have my child's best interests at heart. The communication with me at the end
of the day and through Parentzone is excellent. It makes it much easier leaving your child when you trust that they will have a lovely day. The outdoor space is lovely and the two baby rooms are a good size. My child loves the food and has settled into the nursery routine well. It is excellent value for money as well.

The staff are very friendly and my son really enjoys nursery. The room (baby) is really welcoming and the children seem happy to play in different areas. They put up family photos and have phrases up in different languages which I think is really great for the children to see and learn.

The nursery and staff are great, however, I do find it difficult when I get called to collect my child if, for example, stools are soft as it can be due to teething and is not poorly. I use Busy Bees as my primary care on a full-time basis for 2 kids (1 baby and 2 year old) so to be called frequently
does put a strain on my work.

Reply from Chloe Wilkes, Marketing Admin at Busy Bees Perivale Greenford

Thank you for taking the time to complete your review for our nursery. We do understand that it is difficult balancing work and looking after your child if they are unable to attend nursery and we try to only ring you at work when necessary.

If children are displaying symptoms where we need to exclude them from the nursery, we do this in line with our policies and procedures and the Health Protection Agency guidelines. We have the guidelines in place to protect illnesses from spreading. With regards to the example of teething you gave, we appreciate sometimes children can experience looser stools when teething but will ask you to keep children absent from nursery if we feel it is more than this.

We are pleased that you feel the nursery and staff are great!

Thank you for your feedback.
Lindsey Barrett.

Our son has been at Busy Bees Hoover since he was seven months old. He is now nearly eighteen months. We chose the nursery because of their friendly staff and good facilities, including an on-site kitchen which caters to our son’s severe allergies without any issues. We feel very lucky with our son’s
main carer who is always happy to have a chat and genuinely seems to care. We can tell he has made friends, whereas before he was quite shy. We don’t speak English at home, but his English language development is going well. He says "Ta" to us a lot now! Our only issue is that the baby room gets very warm, even in winter, and so we have to dress him in layers he can take off during the day.

I cannot commend the nursery enough.

The care and attention that is provided to my baby since day one is really exceptional and the proof is in his happy nature and excitement to go to nursery in the mornings.

The baby room has so many sensory areas and is a warm and comfy space for the little

ones to play and learn. The staff are very warm and caring of the children and very importantly, the whole nursery is spotless and safe.

The food standard is also very high and the children are offered freshly cooked healthy meals every day.

I would not hesitate to recommend this nursery to any parent wanting a home-from-home for their little ones to learn and play.

This nursery is really good on a number of levels and we would happily recommend it to family and friends alike. Our child has been attending for a little over a year, and has been going full-time for approximately 50% of that time.

The staff are always warm in their approach and the attention

they have shown has helped our child develop a strong sense of self which has really helped build confidence. This, I am sure, is in part due to the separation of the children based on their age group and thus allowing them to grow amongst their peers. We were also pleased that there is an on-site chef preparing a variety of foods throughout the week, which has definitely exposed our little one to various food groups.

Being that the nursery is a number of residential properties knocked together, it is well laid out. It's light and always warm inside. The outdoor space is also of a good size and is equipped with a good range of activities.

A very warm and welcoming nursery with friendly, professional and knowledgeable staff, who are attentive and caring. The management is very hands on and know all the children well. There is attention to detail on the development and a focus on your child learning through fun. The diverse menu at Busy
Bees encourages healthy eating and encourages the children to try different foods. The rooms are clean, brightly lit and nicely decorated. I would highly recommend this nursery.

All three of my children have attended Busy Bees at Hoover and the youngest is currently in the toddler room. I have found the nursery to be a caring, warm and friendly environment. The children's spaces in the building are bright and spacious. There is a large play area outside with different sections
for the different age groups - it's buzzing in the summer months. I have found the staff to be very professional, knowledgeable and helpful, especially in working together with me to coordinate things happening in my child's life at home with life at the nursery. At the end of each day I get a good update of the day and at the parents meeting, I get to talk about my child's development. This has been very helpful for me as a working mum.

My son has been attending Busy Bees for nearly 2 years now. From the first day, I have been impressed with the friendly staff, quality of management and the facilities offered. The nursery has continually supported my sons learning and he has developed significantly during his time there. The nursery
has a very good staff retention rate and as a result, your child's Key worker will typically stay with them until they transition to the next room/stage. Having this "one on one" relationship helped us massively especially in the early days when we were adjusting to a new routine. Busy Bees have an "in-house" chef who prepares varied/seasonal and nutritional meals for the children, my son has always enjoyed the food and we are kept regularly updated to the current menu and how he has eaten that day.

Overall I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Busy Bees at Hoover to anyone.

My son has been attending this nursery since April and we could not be happier. He took a while to settle in as he was used to spending most of his time with me but the staff at the nursery worked really hard to make him comfortable and now he couldn't love it more. I saw other nurseries before I chose
this one but it felt very warm and welcoming and was not packed with masses of kids like some of the other places I visited so I knew my son would get proper attention. Since attending Busy Bees my son has developed so many new skills and always shocks and surprises us when he does something that we've never seen before and this is a testament to the staff and the range of activities that they do with him. One of the nicest things about this nursery is how involved all of the staff are from the managers to the chef - everyone is very visible and all the kids know all of the staff so no one is a stranger to them. Overall I'm extremely happy and more importantly so is my son!

I am familiar with the nursery since 2010. From the first day I felt my son and then my daughter were in very safe and caring hands.
Busy Bees seems to recruit the nicest staff who were attentive, caring and strict when necessary. I appreciated that my children's manners developed significantly during
their time at Busy Bees. The staff and each child's key worker ensures that each child settles in and continues to develop and then transition to each new room/stage seamlessly.
I have always enjoyed getting the pictures of the children taking part in different activities and hearing what the staff thought they liked or disliked and their observations on their development. I also loved the development books and the at home activities. Busy Bees also actively develop their staff and have a very good retention rate - which is indicative of a happy work environment.
Varied menu at Busy Bees has meant that children try different foods. Finally, I love Busy Bees because my children love/d it.

All 3 of my children have attended this wonderful nursery from the ages of 7 months old, my youngest being 1 year old at the moment and still with Busy Bees. I would not send my children anywhere else. The love and attention they have all received from all the staff here is heart warming. As a mother
going back to work after maternity leave and leaving your precious baby in someone's hands is not an easy thing to do, but the staff made that transition such a smooth process for me back in 2010 when my first child attended. Now it's 2016 and I feel like I am leaving my baby with family. He is a very happy baby when I pick him up and does lots of things at nursery, always having fun and learning new things. I have no complaints whatsoever. The staff are fantastic, a real credit to busy bees.

Current Review Score: 8.3 (8.257)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.3 (8.257) out of 10 for Busy Bees Perivale Greenford is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 2 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.3 out of 5 from 2 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

The Average Rating of 5.000 for Busy Bees Perivale Greenford is calculated as follows: ( (24 Excellents x 5) ) ÷ 24 Ratings = 5

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 3.257 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Busy Bees Perivale Greenford is based on 2 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 = 3.125

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 76 number of registered child places is 15.2. 2 Positive Reviews ÷ 15.2 = 0.132

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
