Buttercups Acton is an outstanding nursery offering Early Years education to children in Acton, Shepherds Bush and Hammersmith.

Based in an ex-vicar's residence, Buttercups Acton is a homely nursery filled with resources. All age groups have their own playrooms, furnished with Community Things equipment made from natural materials. Babies have a separate quiet sleep room and preschool have a floor to themselves, where teachers make sure they are ready for starting school. All age groups enjoy plenty of time outdoors in the huge garden, and the team strive to deliver opportunities for children to learn through play, always guided by their natural curiosity.

The team are experienced and welcoming, and are continuously supported by Buttercups to progress through their careers and deliver the very best care to all children.

The team at Buttercups at Acton are an extremely caring and loving team. In 3 years we have always felt more than comfortable leaving our child there. They have a fun, educational and caring atmosphere and our child's learning growth over the years is a testament to the planning and structure they have
in place. They have excellent facilities in the garden and organise extra-curricular activities for the children. We'll miss everyone at Buttercups when the time comes for reception Year.

My son has been at Buttercups for around 9 months and during this time has absolutely thrived. The staff and children were so welcoming, he settled in very easily despite having moved from another nursery in the area at the age of 3. He loves all his "teachers" and looks forward to going to nursery
every day. The children are happy and well cared for. The staff all look happy too which makes a huge impact on the children. The meals are nutritious and my son often asks for more. I wish we had chosen Buttercups from the beginning for our son, as they are great!

Fantastic experience at Buttercups. I have had two children attend Buttercups over four years and have found it to be exceptional. The staff are brilliant - friendly, kind, understanding and great with the kids. Both my children have learnt a huge amount and developed into very nice little people. They
have been very happy here.

Our son has attended Buttercups at Acton since August 2015 when he was 7 months old. He has developed so quickly. We are especially thrilled with the kindness and empathy for others that the team has cultivated within him. I believe this is because they are all so kind as well.


The food is delicious

and nutritious. Our son often eats 100% to 120%.


We absolutely love this nursery and would recommend it to everyone.

From the moment we walked in we felt that Buttercups was right for our son. The staff have been amazing and have provided him with a home from home. We have always felt at ease leaving him, we thank the staff endlessly for their love and care. Highly recommended.

An amazing place for kids and parents alike. Support and care for the kids has always been outstanding. The nursery is very inclusive of all the family and the staff and resources are excellent.

Whole workers and management are helpful and doing the best they can. They are always ready to cooperate with parent and child. Teachers providing a high standard of education and activities, kids learning about good behaviour in a good sense. Also, the level of language is very good. I appreciate very
much the whole attention they give to my little star. I would highly recommend Buttercups Acton.

Our daughter has been with Buttercups since she was 10 months old, and she has thrived. The practitioners have all been very good, very caring about her as an individual as well as helping her grow and expand her skills and engage with people around her, and she has loved her time here and the friends
she has made. (Don't be put off by their management and billing systems day-to-day they are great).

I can highly recommend Buttercups at Acton. My daughter has been there cared for there for four days a week since she was 10 months old and our experience has been nothing but positive. I originally chose the nursery because of its homely atmosphere and this has not changed in over 3 years my daughter
has been there.


All the staff are extremely caring and professional and the turnover of staff has been extremely low. All the staff know my daughter and she knows them - this really makes a massive difference to her day to day happiness. The nursery offers a wide range of activity for the children, communication with parents is regular and helpful and there are a number of events throughout the year to bring parents, children and the nursery together.

I am tremendously pleased with Buttercups Acton's care of my 2-year-old son. My LO has attended Buttercups since he was 7 months old. I cannot praise the staff enough; they are caring, fun, attentive and kind. I have recommended them to a friend of mine who will be sending her son there too.

Buttercups Acton is a lovely nursery, staff is very welcoming and warm. I can see a massive difference in my son's development after spending only 3 days a week there.
His speech, confidence and motor skills are getting better every day thanks to girls at the nursery. There do lots of activities every
day, including outdoor play.

We are really happy with Buttercups at Acton. Our daughter loves it and is happy to go, there always seems to be interesting activities for her and she likes all the staff members. Everyone is very caring and seem genuinely interested in the well-being of each child. Our review appointments have always
been insightful with the key worker giving lots of info and anecdotes about her progress. The only factors we have ranked as 'good' rather than excellent' are resources, food, drink (as there could be a little more variety) and cleanliness but these are not concerns for us and wouldn't affect us recommending this nursery.
