Clever Cloggs was established in 2007 and uses word of mouth and daynurseries.co.uk to advertise. Clevercloggs has always promoted a family friendly professional service, taking pride in a strong local reputation for quality early years care and education and continues to do so. A family feel and good communication with parents is at the core of their ethos.

Clevercloggs uses Bowlby’s Theory of Attachment, ‘The central theme of attachment theory is that primary caregivers who are available and responsive to an infant's needs allow the child to develop a sense of security. The infant knows that the caregiver is dependable, which creates a secure base for the child to then explore the world.’

They also use the Highscope Theory.

Findings from the HighScope Perry pre-school Study found that using the HighScope curriculum had positive effects from the time the child attended the setting into adulthood, including better school achievement and literacy, more likely to graduate from high school, adult earnings, home ownership and lifetime arrest rates.

I originally picked this nursery as being an ex-childcare professional myself I had a friend working in the setting which made me trust them, but within weeks of my girl starting there I realised I had made the best choice possible! My girl has been there since she was about 8 months old and is now
4 and loves it! The ladies who work there are amazing and can’t do enough to help.
I would definitely recommend and if I have another they will without a doubt be going there too!

I have used Clever Cloggs for both of my children, collectively a total of 6.5 years! I have always found their dedication to the children unwavering, and both children formed good bonds with many of the staff, not just their key-workers. I’ve always felt that the staff really care and that is priceless
when entrusting your little ones to someone else.
Both of my children have loved their time at Clever Cloggs, and I believe it has helped shape them into the children they are today. I cannot recommend them highly enough, and I am sad that my youngest has nearly finished her journey there.

My son has been attending Clever Cloggs Childcare since last July 2019 and I couldn't be happier. The staff are extremely helpful and kind. My son loves it so much he calls nursery the park! His days are always filled with learning and fun. It is very refreshing seeing the different daily activities
that are set out for the children to play with, and the garden is a very big space for the children to enjoy! I am so pleased I found a nursery that my son is safe and has grown with confidence due to the structure and teaching here. I am a very happy mummy.

Very accommodating nursery.
My child loves the staff like family. The staff truly care for the children and are very enthusiastic.

Three years ago, I was due to go back to work after my maternity leave. I was very anxious as my little girl was so attached to me. However, when I arrived to pick her up from the baby room, I was overwhelmed by the warmth of the staff and how much my daughter loved it there. She is now in pre-school
and would be leaving to go to big school this year.
The staff are very friendly and nice. They are very understanding and always willing to help. My daughter has developed into a bright and confident child and genuinely loves going to Nursery. They have alot of facilities and activities to help the with the development and educational needs for the kids. I'm very grateful for the part they've played in my daughter's life and highly recommend them to other parents looking for daycare/nursery.

My daughter started to go when she was 16 months. We were so anxious but after visiting many nurseries when we finally got here, we were overwhelmed by the staff's warmth straight away, it actually felt like home. We couldn't be happier with our choice! Although she is only attending two sessions per
week, I can notice the improvements. They are all very attentive, accommodating and lovely! You are constantly updated on the online learning journal, where you can check activities, pictures and observations on a daily basis. Despite the long break due to Covid-19, the staff did their utmost to reopen as soon as possible with all the health and safety measures in place, in order to make us feel safe. My daughter was happy to return and as soon as we get there, she runs into their arms, waving me goodbye with a smile on her face. I definitely recommend it!

My son has been going to the nursery for nearly 2.5 years now. I would say Clever Cloggs has one of the best settling-in programs for babies which is so important when they start in any childcare setting. I found my son has developed immense confidence, great social skills and is a very happy and energetic
boy due to the developmental care and support offered by the staff at the nursery. I wanted a nursery which offered structured and formal learning but at the same time offering a cosy and comfortable environment for my son and Clever Cloggs exactly offers that kind of setting. The nursery has separate and bigger outdoor space for children of different age brackets which is a major plus point as compared to all other nurseries around. I find all the staff really good and are happy to discuss any feedback or concerns I have or are open to suggestions. I feel safe and assured leaving my son at the nursery. Lastly, the nursery has free parking, a big advantage for parents travelling to London.

I can't recommend this nursery enough. My little one has been attending since he was 10 months old and he absolutely loves it there. We were initially attracted by big outdoor space and relaxed atmosphere but now after 18months, we can really appreciate the excellent care and that close-knitted community
within the nursery. There is literally no staff turnover and children get excellent care and attention. My child goes to this nursery with a big smile on his face and I am confident he is being well looked after.

I have had 2 boys attend Clever Cloggs, the eldest is 12 and the other has just left to go to big school. Both started at 11 months old and had a wonderful time there.
The staff are so kind and caring both boys loved it and would ask if they are going to nursery on weekends and be disappointed when
told no because of all the fun they have. I can't thank the manager and all the staff enough for all the support I received when I had a bereavement they kept everything normal for my boy.
I highly recommend it, your child will love it, mine did.

My little girl has been going here since she was 7 months old. She will now be leaving in September. We are very happy with her time here, we even moved further away and still continued to bring her to Clever Cloggs. I really do feel that the staff really love and care for her! She has never been anything
but excited and happy to go to nursery. The food is always being reviewed and healthy, staff are all lovely, lots of toys indoor and out!
We'll be sad to say bye in September when she's off to school.

My second child is now at Clever Cloggs and I never had any second thoughts about sending her after my experience with my first child. The manager and staff are so caring and loving. They are always happy to listen to any worries a parent may have and reassure them. Always happy to give advice and help
in any way. The nursey has had a massive impact on my girls. My eldest still remembers how much fun she had there and loves seeing everyone when she takes her sister to nursery. There is a family feel about the place. Meals are homemade on the premises, there is a lovely garden for the little ones and a play area for the preschool children. When I pick my youngest up at the end of the end she is always so happy and excited to tell me about her day.
I highly recommend Clever Cloggs as I know my child is safe and well looked after throughout the time she spends there. The staff are always giving out cuddles and comfort to every child like any mother would.

Clever Cloggs really knows the children well and offers lots of personalised feedback and advice when requested. The staff are caring and friendly, the activities varied with great outdoor spaces. My son developed positive relationships with the key workers and his behaviour, knowledge, and skills all
improved during his time there. I was never anxious about leaving him and feel they have prepared him for the next step at reception. He joined at age two and left at four and a half years. Overall we have been very pleased with the care provided and the communication throughout our time there.

Our daughter has been attending Clever Cloggs for two years now. The staff are so friendly, approachable and clearly enjoy their job and are first class with the children.
My daughter is thriving due to the vast array of daily activities, the guidance from the staff and has made some excellent friendships.
She honestly cannot wait to go in on the two days a week that she attends and often asks to go in on non-nursery days.
Due to the open door policy, it is always easy to speak to my daughter's key worker or the manager about my daughter's progress or to answer any questions I may have.
They are obviously doing something right as my daughter wanted to invite several of the key workers to her recent birthday party. Cannot recommend enough.

Really impressed with Clever Cloggs. Our son had previously been at a very highly rated nursery in Belvedere that turned out to not be very suitable for us. We had been recommended to this nursery and very glad we made the move. Our son loves it. There's a really good variety of activities and mix of
children, and the staff are amazing. Very high standard of care. Since reopening in June, they have implemented new policies that provide as much social distancing as possible given the circumstances. Now that I've experienced different nurseries, I can appreciate the work that Clever Cloggs do more. Would absolutely recommend.

My son has been attending for almost a year and absolutely loves it here. The outside areas are perfect for him as they have a sense of freedom and choice in activities. He loves the digging! Planned activities are documented and we can log on and see photos and comments daily which is great. Food is
varied and we are updated on how much and what they eat each day too. The staff are so friendly and have a real family feel here.

I looked at lots of different nurseries before I returned to work and Clever Cloggs really stood out due to its homely feel, low staff turnover and big garden. My daughter has been at the nursery for two years now and absolutely loves it - it can be a struggle to get her out the door at home time as
she likes to give a cuddle or high five to the staff as she leaves. The staff really make this nursery - it may not look as impressive as some of the bigger chain nurseries from the exterior but the level of care received and the learning and development of the children is second to none. The children spend a lot of time in one of the three gardens (baby, toddler and preschool all have their own) which for me was a real selling point as well as having access to a wide variety of toys, books and messy play with different structured activities planned every day to aid their learning.

My son started at this nursery nearly two years ago. I have looked at several nurseries prior to him joining Clever Cloggs and I can genuinely state this nursery has provided everything necessary to ensure my son has a stimulating, fun and safe environment. The outdoor space in this nursery is one of
the best I've seen in the borough.

I cannot find fault with Clever Cloggs. My daughter has been so happy there for the last year and her development has been brilliant. The staff and other children are always smiley and welcoming, it makes the whole process of leaving the baby there so much easier and puts my mind at rest knowing she'll

Casey joined as an apprentice and is now one of our Deputy Managers she has worked in all rooms and has experience in dealing with complicated safeguarding cases. Casey also facilitates Spanish lessons in preschool. She has been with us since 2010, Casey is also First Aid Trained.

Rosie joined the nursery as an apprentice when it first opened. She has a vast amount of experience with ADHD, and Autistic Spectrum Disorder, Rosie works in all rooms supporting staff. and children. Rosie is First Aid Trained and joined the nursery on opening in 2007.

Bryony has over 20 years of experience from Nurseries, to creches to nannying. Beth has over 18 years of experience in nurseries and after-school clubs. Beth completed her apprenticeship under Chloe’s management in a previous setting. Bryony and Beth are cover staff who have worked at the nursery since it first opened. They are both First Aid Trained

Saiya first joined the nursery in 2017, during COVID she left to gain experience in a different setting, returning to Clevercloggs in 2023, Saiya works in the toddler room and is First Aid Trained.
