The Early Years Practitioners at Coombe Day Nursery believe in offering the children the best educational, fun and caring start during their early years. The nursery provides educational equipment and activities to help further the children's learning and development (in accordance with the statutory framework, the Early Years Foundation Stage).

Coombe Day Nursery offers full day care with all-inclusive fees. These include well-balanced meals and snacks, which follow the healthy food and drink guidelines, additional classes, nappies, wipes, milks and more! Coombe Day Nursery offers a stimulating environment and supports the children in learning through their play.

These training skills are especially needed for the lovely outings the children go on! The children also enjoy a variety of small world play, natural material play, sensory play and focus activities (following all the EYFS areas of learning). Children also participate in external classes; music and drama, tennis, French class, yoga and other activities. These all contribute towards their fun learning environment. Richmond Park is also near the nursery, meaning regular woodland trips.

Practitioners understand that health and safety and safeguarding is paramount when caring for the children. All practitioners are first aid trained, safeguarding trained and food and hygiene trained. COVID-19 training has also been completed by all nursery staff and are following their Early Years system of controls.

My son has been really happy at Coombe Day Nursery and settled in very quickly when he started aged two and a half. We (and he) feel very supported and the staff are friendly and caring. Communication with them is on a daily basis and is very reliable. We have seen a clear, positive improvement in our
son in so many different aspects of his development. I would absolutely recommend this nursery.

Hands down the best decision we made for our little boy to attend this nursery. They identified he needed extra help and he has honestly come leaps and bounds. I couldn’t recommend this nursery enough.
The staff are all simply amazing!

The manager and the team, especially the deputy manager, have been so welcoming to my daughter since she joined in June 2021. A little lockdown baby, my daughter hadn't spent any time at all away from her parents and it is so wonderful to see her enjoying nursery so much. Thank you!

Special thank you to all of the nursery staff for making me feel so comfortable leaving my baby with you. The manager, deputy manager, nursery room leader and assistant have made the process so much easier for us and have been there to settle my nerves and anxiety. Always happy to chat, take my calls
and answer emails. Thorough in everything they do! Thank you to an amazing team. I wouldn’t trust my baby with anyone else but you guys and my parents!

Fantastic nursery with very friendly staff. My little girl absolutely loves it there and if I ever have to keep her at home sick she spends half the day asking when she can go back to nursery!

My son has been very well looked after and cared for in the piglets and is always happy to arrive at nursery. The staff are so caring and kind and work very long days but are always happy and always greet us with a smile.

Have used the nursery for the last six years and think the management, all the staff and the activities they run for the children all are great. The management did a very good job throughout the Covid pandemic. Would thoroughly recommend.

We are really impressed with this nursery. The children are so happy here, they've made great friends and always bond with the room leader. We've had excellent experiences with the room leaders.
The nursery manager is why we chose the nursery and she's been incredible since day one. She's very approachable
but also heavily involved in each of the rooms.

Coombe Day Nursery is simply the best. I am unable to use specific names here, according to the rules, but it's fair to say that everyone, from the management to the room practitioners, to the cleaner and the chef are outstanding. The thing that runs through this nursery is energy, enthusiasm (which
you can feel when you hand over/pick up your kids - and is so reassuring if your kid is slightly off-colour or being a pain, or you're leaving them for the first time), fun and professionalism. Everyone is so easy to talk to, the passion is obvious and you can see they are totally driven by the learning environment for the children and passing that on to the parents/carers.
The place feels like a real community and the only things that saddens me are that we haven't been able to socialise properly during the pandemic and that my daughter will be leaving next year. I will be very, very sad to leave these guys behind. Thank you, everyone!

To say we are happy with Coombe Day Nursery would be an understatement. We are so lucky to have found this wonderful nursery. Our daughter has been there since 6-months-old and is now 3-years-old and attends four days a week. She absolutely loves going there, has made loads of friends and loves the
staff. Her experience is the same as all the other children we know who attend.
They have lots of different activities and challenge the children to learn. Our daughter and her peers have excellent vocabularies for their ages, understand words in different languages and can do simple maths at 3.
It’s simply a lovely, happy place with great staff who love the children and excellent management.

My son is very new to the nursery and I am a first-time mom. I feel very comfortable that he is being well cared for, enjoying his time there with lots of things to do and I appreciate the warm nature of the team. We are still brand new but my experience has been excellent so far and have been provided
lots of details on his progression along the way. And very much liked the homemade cookies sent home recently, which was the first homemade gift I had received from my son who is 1!

We are delighted with the care provided for our daughter. All staff are so kind and warm and go the extra mile to ensure the best possible experience for our daughter and for us as parents. Communication at the end of each day is good. My daughter really enjoys all the activities that are put on and
the ideas for activities seem engaging and creative.
I do think the food could be improved given how much we pay. I’m not sure jam sandwiches should constitute a lunch or dinner.

My youngest is now in preschool and it will be a sad day for our family when he leaves for school and we have to say goodbye to Coombe Day Nursery after seven years! From the leadership team who manage to be professional, approachable and personable at the same time, to every single member of staff
who visibly care for the children I can think of no better team to entrust my child to. He comes out beaming and happy and just the right amount of mucky! He recounts stories, songs and facts learnt that day with so much joy and enthusiasm and tells us of play, laughter and special classes after what always feels like a balanced, well rounded day.
The team go out of their way to support each child’s individual needs way beyond what is expected on paper. My son’s only complaint is that he can’t bring his friend and teachers home with us every night!

The staff at Coombe Day Nursery really care about what they do and it shows in how happy the children are going in every morning. I couldn’t trust a childcare setting more - my daughter falls into the warm, welcoming arms of the practitioner and on pick up I get an insightful handover about her day
from a practical standpoint. Developmentally they are very thorough, I see this in her learning and through the app and should any area need extra care I know Coombe make the extra effort to support, keeping me updated every step of the way.

We have had a wonderful experience with Coombe Day Nursery. Our child loves going to nursery to see all the staff and her friends. The nursery provides a very nurturing environment that really focuses on helping children to develop good social skills. Our little girl has told us about how they discuss
friendships. The activities are also very stimulating. Our daughter comes home excited to tell us about what she's been doing and eager to go each morning.
I've also been very impressed at how the nursery has handled the Covid pandemic, still remaining vigilant with great hygiene measures etc. even when restrictions have relaxed but keeping the nursery going so we can still send our children in.
They're also really attuned to the likes and needs of each child. We've been able to work with the nursery as we've dropped naps, started walking, potty training etc. and have always been very impressed at the collaborative approach the nursery adopts.
