Creative Kids Nursery based in Butts Green Road, Hornchurch, is a privately owned Ofsted registered nursery, providing exceptional day-care and education for children aged three months to five years.

The nursery offers a safe and secure environment with staff who promote learning through play. All staff are childcare NVQ qualified or equivalent, first aid trained, and training is on-going.

An outdoor play area has been specially designed to encourage children to enjoy playing outside, and the garden has lots of toys, equipment and safe flooring to ensure children are safe. The nursery has two play zones, one for babies and a large area for the other age groups.

The nursery has an on-site chef who prepares fresh food for the children and ensures that all their nutritional and dietary needs are met.

Creative Kids Nursery has visiting teachers; the dance teacher teaches children music and movement and the sports teacher who teaches football and other sports.

All the staff at the nursery have been amazing. My son has recently been diagnosed with type 1 diabetes and I feel so comfortable leaving him here! A lot of the staff completed the training and they are completely on the ball! I could not recommend this nursery enough! The support and care they have
for the children is absolutely amazing!! Thank you all so much.

Fantastic nursery, each and every member of staff has made my child feel at ease and he has settled in well.

My son absolutely loves going to nursery at Creative Kids Hornchurch and I can't thank the staff enough for all they do! He started there in December 2022 at 8 months old and I was nervous leaving him, but I didn't need to be worried, as he settled in straight away and he has been happy going in ever
since. He can't wait to go to nursery every day and see all of his friends and all the nursery staff. The staff are absolutely wonderful and I honestly cannot fault them at all, they care for him like he is their own. They have supported him with his learning this year and he is now able to count confidently over 20 and recognise his alphabet. He also is able to sing nursery rhymes confidently and he applies sign language to particular words he says. His speech has developed and he now confidently talks in full sentences and communicates with all his teachers and peers! We feel so happy and lucky to have found such a wonderful nursery! Thank you!

My son enjoys going to nursery. He is very well behaved there which shows that the staff are very good. I get daily updates and pictures. Covid has ruined some things, for example, I have never seen my child's room or outdoor play space. Some of the ratings I can't comment on because I know nothing
about them, for example, I have no idea how clean it is or what the ICT equipment is like. Overall, I like this nursery but I'd like to see more now Covid is somewhat over!

I was extremely anxious leading up to my son starting nursery at 13 months, but I was instantly put at ease by the wonderful staff. It literally took a few weeks for my son to settle. He sleeps and eats so well and is a happy content little boy who really is thriving and I couldn’t be happier.


The

girls are happy, kind, caring, and fun! What more could you ask for.


The food, facilities, and activities are just wonderful.


I cannot recommend highly enough.

My daughter goes to this nursery and has settled in so well. My son also attended for four years which meant going back with my daughter was a no brainer. I like the fact there are still so many of the same staff there and all the staff I know of are lovely. Everyone is so welcoming and I will keep

Concerned about the welfare of children in the Nursery as my child was left without a jumper in cold temperature although extra clothes were provided. My child had scratches on his face on his first day which may mean there was a lack of attentiveness from staff to see the occurrence of this. This was
his first week and I believe more care should have been provided to allow my child to adapt. There was also a lack of feedback from the staff about the day's activities. One staff reported how a photo got deleted after I mentioned uploading it to the family app. My child has a runny nose and high temp. My child was reluctant to eat and although I provided a milk bottle, he had not been fed in his time there. Discussed this with the manager and her response was staff cannot provide one-to-one care as there are other kids. Definitely would not recommend, overpriced and I do not believe they provide adequate care.

We pride ourselves on our relationships with our families and are sorry to hear that you weren’t happy during your 2 hours with us. We have underfloor heating in each room and staff felt the child was hot in their thick jumper and had removed it while he was eating lunch. There were 7 children and 3 members of staff, ratio of 1:3. The child was only at nursery for 2 hours and while playing was with a member of staff the whole time and no incidents occurred in this time. Feedback was given on collection and photos had been uploaded to the family app. When children are settling they are always close to an adult for reassurance but supported to play and join in with peers. It was the child’s first day and was encouraged to eat lunch by the senior of the room, which he did and the child was collected before the time the bottle was due. We understand that the settling in process is hard for both the child and parents and we do try to support them both as much as possible.

Creative Kids Nursery has been a safe and nurturing environment for my child. The wonderful outdoor space has been well designed and is one of my child's favourite aspects of the nursery as she loves to spend time outdoors. The resources offered to every child are second to none. As my child has been
suffering with difficulties with speech and language these resources are a must. The staff have always been kind and loving and very accommodating of my child's needs. Never have I had to deal with floods of tears at drop off or pick up which, as a parent, is such a comforting fact. I have a very fussy eater but the nursery have taken that on board and worked with my child to ensure that she never goes hungry.
The main thing for me is that my child is happy there and feels comfortable in her environment.

The nursery is fantastic and my son absolutely loved it! He started just before his first birthday and has been an incredibly happy and settled boy.
The staff are all fantastic and Claire has been lovely, responsive and helpful throughout our time at the nursery.
The nursery rooms are lovely as well
as the outside space and my son runs into the nursery every morning!
Special mention to the certain staff who have been fantastic and so great with my son and a true testament to the values and attributes of the staff.

I was told in September when he joined that a Welcome Assessment will be conducted by their Senco as my son has a speech delay. December came, still nothing. I kept on asking when the Senco said to me there is no point doing it as he won't get through the first stage anyway. This was very hurtful to
hear. There is no differentiation at all. Furthermore, there is a lack of information on tapestry compared to other nurseries. Just a tick box instead of personalised information. When I collected my son there was no mention of progress. Just comments on food and sleep. Nothing about trying to make him speak or improving eye contact. Not worth it for almost eighty pounds a day! Luckily my son was also going to another nursery, so I took him out and put him full time in the other one where it is better value for money and the staff are more caring.

Our protocol is when a child starts we give them 8 weeks to settle. We work alongside parents and their concerns regarding their child’s development and always take this seriously. Our SENCo and staff in the room will observe over the next 4 weeks and make observations about their development and difficulties they may have before assessments are made, this starts on the 12th week. All staff are trained in the speech and language programme (Wellcomm) we work closely with Havering to ensure they receive the best support. Your child was assessed and worksheets were given to you and this was explained. A review would be completed 12 weeks from the 1st assessment. All parents are given the same quality of handover, including all parts of their day. We use Tapestry for observations that we link to the EYFS. The DFE states it’s required for each child to have 1 observation per week. Our setting always tries to update more than this. Creative Kids supports each child on their journey. We “Care for the whole child”.

My child has had the best experience at Creative Kids Nursery. Despite the pandemic and all the restrictions placed upon staff and children, my daughter has attended with enthusiasm and has loved her time here. She has been kept safe but not made to feel worried at all, which is a credit to the staff
there and their hard work.
The resources are superb, with a range of rooms, going up to a more classroom-based room for older years. The garden is expansive and a real selling point (even before Covid!) due to the play equipment and sheer space to let them run free.
As my daughter has grown (she has attended from 1-years-old) she has had adaptations to support her development. I feel that with the work on phonics, language and numeracy that she is well prepared for school, but most importantly, that she will love school! The staff are so kind and dedicated.
The food is also fab-healthy and varied - she eats better here than at home, the little traitor!
