I have 3 children and it's the first time I've used a nursery for my youngest. I cannot recommend this nursery enough. All the staff are amazing with both my son and me! I love how they have a separate outdoor area for different ages and the baby rooms are big enough and also have adjoining rooms to
them if babies are sleeping or it's food time.

The staff are very professional and caring. Everyone knows my baby's name and is familiar with his schedule and basic needs. The "Key Person" system works and my baby isn't passed between lots of people each day. The purpose-built facility provides a huge variety of learning/play stations for children
of all ages. They do a variety of activities: artwork, messy play (in water, sand), outdoor/garden play, etc. Plus, my baby gets adequate nap time because he has a dedicated crib in a quiet room. In fact, this is the only nursery I visited that has a separate section for non-walking babies, which is divided into a playroom and a sleeping room. They are very well organized, so nothing gets misplaced/lost; and the use of booklets to track his day and his development are helpful. It's generally quite clean and the outdoor garden space is nice (broken into separate sections for children of different ages and easily accessible to all rooms). We couldn't be more pleased!

My son started full time in Jan 2017, he was 13 months when he started. The 1-2 year old room key workers are amazing. So caring, my son has learnt so much over the last few months. The times are great too; I start work at 8 am so drop him off at 7. Not many nurseries offer that flexibility. Michelle
and her team are great and can't fault them at all. I would highly recommend them to all parents.

A very good nursery which offers good opportunities for a child's social and personal development. Very friendly staff, who genuinely care and love all of the children.
My child has developed more self-confidence and has been taught to become more independent through the work of all the staff.

We are so glad 23-month-old daughter attends Busy Bees at Ilford. The whole team is extremely friendly, personal and thoughtful. They know each of the children personally and give them individual attention. We are given daily updates on her activities and progress and can never do enough to enable her
to attend, even when she is feeling a bit poorly. Her key worker is amazing too! Her intellectual abilities have increased exponentially since starting there 10 months ago. Emotionally, she has matured immensely, from being clingy with separation anxiety, she has spread her wings and become amazingly independent, charming and friendly. She started using cutlery independently ages before expected and insists we all sit at the dining table in our seats at meal times instead of in front of the TV (Thanks, Busy Bees for giving us quality family meal times!). Her language skills have improved in leaps and bounds. Friends and family are surprised at how broad her vocabulary is!
Busy Bees at Ilford = AMAZING!

Our daughter went to this nursery for 4 years and now our 1-year-old son has joined. The staff have become good friends now... Ones that we will be forever grateful for looking after our babies with the greatest love and care x
I have never worried about my children in their care... especially when
they may have been poorly as I know they will be comforted until I get there.
Freshly prepared meals every day, lots of space and tailor made activities based on your child's current interests.
They really do go above and beyond to help your child develop and have the best time.
If I have ever had any concerns, the staff are amazing at dealing with it.
Highly recommend this nursery to any parent who needs to use the service and not have to worry about their child. Staff are always so helpful and always put the child and parent first. Amazing facilities, amazing staff, amazing site.

My child attends the nursery a few days a week and I have found the staff to be very caring and helpful. There is a great layout and variety of activities to keep the children entertained. They are very focused on their individual development and growth inside and outside of the nursery. I would defiantly
recommend this nursery.

My son has been going to Busy Bees since he was 5 months. He is now coming up to 2yrs.

From the introduction days to date, I have been very happy and impressed with Busy Bees. My son loves his days at Nursery and he has really come on with his development and social skills.

The staff are friendly,

caring and personal. The communication between staff and parents is good with staff always keeping you updated with your child's day, learning and development.

The nursery is also open from 6.45am to 7pm, which is great for working parents. Not all nurseries are open these hours!

Busy Bees is the nursery my brother went to, and my mum always spoke very highly of it. He is now 18! It is rare to find a Nursery that has maintained its excellence which this Nursery clearly has. I definitely recommend it!

Both of my children attend this nursery. The staff are excellent they work together with parents to ensure routines and boundaries set at home are carried on in the nursery environment. The rooms are well set out and there are good staff to children ratio. The garden space is brilliant and one of the
initial factors for me choosing this nursery. I would not hesitate to recommend the nursery. Also, they have extended opening times they're open between 0645- 1900. From my research, I believe that they are the only nursery in the area to offer these sorts of times!

Current Review Score: 8.3 (8.343)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.3 (8.343) out of 10 for Busy Bees Ilford is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 3 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.4 out of 5 from 3 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.972 for Busy Bees Ilford is calculated as follows: ( (35 Excellents x 5) + (1 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 36 Ratings = 4.972

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 3.371 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Busy Bees Ilford is based on 3 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 = 3.25

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 124 number of registered child places is 24.8. 3 Positive Reviews ÷ 24.8 = 0.121

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
