Ladybird Nursery - Beckenham is a family-run day nursery providing childcare for children aged three months to five years.

The nursery has been in operation for more than 30 years and has a team of staff with a wide range of skills and experience, ensuring children are provided with the best care and education.

Ladybird Nursery - Beckenham is located across two floors within an Edwardian house. The Baby Room is situated on the first floor, whilst children aged two to five years are based in two large open-plan rooms on the ground floor.

During their time at the nursery, children have access to a spacious playground featuring a soft play area and a range of outdoor toys.

We can’t say thanks enough for the last 3-years at Ladybird Nursery. We are so grateful for her nursery experience, it’s been amazing. It’s so important that a child’s first experiences of learning are right- and it’s the teachers that have made her first experience so significant. She adores the staff
and has done so throughout her time at Ladybird. Thank you all for making her and us feel so comfortable.
We also want to acknowledge all the extras, everything behind the scenes, in particular the management team: the communication throughout the pandemic has been great, we’ve felt informed and assured. It has always felt like the nursery is run well and that has been reassuring.
Thanks, also, for all the additional things that you all do - the trips, the attempts to engage families socially and in the learning in the nursery. It makes a huge difference, and we’ve appreciated that too.
We, as many others do, feel emotional but really thankful. Thank you for everything you’ve done.

My son joined the nursery in August 2017 and left August 2020. Three years this lovely team have been apart of our lives, and they've been amazing. He loved the nursery, the staff and his friends. We will miss this nursery.

Great environment for the children - my son has been at Ladybird for the last 3-years, and it’s been wonderful.
The staff go the extra mile for the children, and they handled the challenge of re-opening after Covid extremely well.

Our daughter has been at this nursery since she was eleven months old, and is now two and a half. She started in the baby room and is now in the toddler room. She is very happy here, and has had many great teachers look after her, whom she has taken to and loves seeing. She has made lots of friends
and is always talking to us about her time at nursery. The teachers are helpful and friendly, and love talking to us about our daughter. We feel she is well looked after and love seeing the photos on the parent's app. The nursery takes them on lots of trips outside the nursery as well, and encourage parents to get involved when we can. I would not hesitate to recommend this nursery to anyone looking to put their child in a Beckenham nursery.

Staff members have been very accommodating, they always listen to my feedback/concerns and always willing to learn. My child had delayed speech and they have supported her and there has been significant improvement in her progress. My child loves coming to nursery and they are caring towards her; she
is very happy at nursery.

I honestly can't recommend Ladybird Nursery enough. My son has thrived there and particularly enjoyed his time in preschool where he has learnt so much, and is, hopefully, well prepared for school in September! The staff are outstanding, the variation of breakfast, lunch and tea available and the facilities
they provide are fantastic. His favourite parts are visiting local schools, shops and attending his sports class.

A superb nursery with a stable contingent of dedicated staff who are competent and well-managed. We have had both children go through Ladybird Nursery and they have both had a happy, healthy and safe time there in a very caring environment. Of particular note is that the nursery focuses very heavily
on pastoral care. What they do academically is more than adequate but, in my opinion, it's all about the pastoral care and social education at this age and Ladybird Nursery is terrific at that. I would recommend Ladybird Nursery to anyone without reservation; they have been wonderful to my children and have provided a much-needed, stable lifeline for us as parents.

Both my children have attended Ladybird since they were 12 months old and have both loved their time.
The nursery has a very friendly homely feel and the staff treat the kids like their own.
The preschool staff prepare the children for school brilliantly and it was a smooth transition from nursery
to school.
I would recommend Ladybird to anyone.

Both my children have attended Ladybird Nursery in Beckenham and I am so grateful for the fantastic care and attention they received there. My little boy leaves in a few weeks and is very sad to go.


The staff are great and I feel like they really cared for my children and got to know their personalities

and how they like to play/learn. I always trusted my kids with them and felt happy dropping them off. At pick up, I was told about their day and what they’d been up to or what they’d had for lunch (the food is great too).


The nursery is bright and clean and a really nice environment for the kids. They always seem to be learning something fun and my little boy loves going out in the garden and playing or looking for minibeasts.


I would recommend Ladybird to anyone looking for a happy nursery for their kids.

My son attended Ladybird Nursery - Beckenham from the age of 10 months right through until starting school this month and I cannot recommend it highly enough. The staff have shown tremendous kindness and patience throughout his time there and have supported us at every stage in his development. They
are extremely imaginative and creative in the activities they come up with for the children to do and my son has learnt an astonishing amount in the preschool there this last year. There is a very low turnover of staff at this nursery compared to others, which is not only important for the children there, but also shows what a happy place this is.

I'm delighted that my son attends Ladybird nursery since November 2015. All staff there is extremely competent, knowledgeable, experienced, kind and loving. Every morning my son gets up with excitement and names most of the nursery staff and his friends and says he can't wait to see them again. It is
very obvious he is very happy and enjoys his time there. Pre-school teachers always provide a competent update/feedback on my son's development, behaviour, eating patterns, engagement and socialising skills.
It is very obvious that the activities stimulate my son's creativity and develops his speech and social skills. Pleased to see that the safeguarding of children is at the highest level and we have never had any incidents that we should worry about. There is always a positive, supportive, loving and caring environment in the nursery. I have recommended this nursery to my friends and can recommend to anyone. That's an excellent choice!

My wife and I have sent both our Sons to Ladybird Nursery over the last few years and we are delighted with their time there. In particular our first son was quite late to develop his speech and it was only with the help of the nursery staff and the local SENCO that we were able to address this (in
the end it was glue ear). Both boys have loved their time there, and as a parent we have never been short of 100% confident and happy with the staff and the facilities. They shall all be missed. Recommended without reservation.
