Mottingham Hall for Children is a unique setting with 4 acres or land. The nursery environment is an amazing place for children to grow and learn. Included is 1/3 acre of woodlands, a small onsite farm and allotment area.

The onsite Forest school sessions are run by a highly skilled Forest school trained leaders. The woodlands are securely fenced for nursery use only. Children aged from 2 years upwards use the forest daily. All children have access to the woodlands area on a regular basis and beautiful outdoor grounds. There is also a 6 seater buggy bus and children take regular trips out in this or by foot depending on age (parent permission given on admission).

The staff team have a range of qualification ranging from Level 5- to apprenticeships. The nursery goes above statutory staff to child ratios to ensure children have high quality interactions and care. All staff are Paediatric first aid trained and some both indoor and outdoor paediatric first aid trained.

Safeguarding is of paramount importance and compliance with Ofsted regulations are effectively audited regularly.

All food is cooked on the premises by an onsite chef, as well as delicious parent breakfast treats baked by the chef assistant. There is also a parent area where parents can take an on the go bite, as well as make a takeaway tea and coffee. The menus reflect healthy eating using fresh products all of the time. These are reviewed at least once in a year for summer and autumn.

The nursery is a Curiosity Approach accredited setting, Brain injury accredited setting, Day Nurseries Top 10 winners for London 2022, and Forest School association accredited. It has also been awarded a silver Royal Forestry award.

The nursery is located close to the local train station and the A2/A20 covering areas such as Bromley, Chislehurst, Eltham, Sidcup and Lee.

Words cannot describe how brilliant this nursery is! My baby daughter only started two months ago but she has learnt so much since she began. I can see new skills at home that she has practised at Mottingham Hall and she has a fantastic bond with the staff there. Staff are knowledgeable, and caring
and supply a range of resources for children to enhance their learning skills. Additionally having all the outside space is an added bonus. Thank you to everyone at Mottingham Hall. A truly fantastic nursery.

Brilliant nursery. My 2nd grandson is there now and my first grandson was there for 3 years, he loved it there and he was always happy to go in the morning. He was there from three months to age three.

Our son loves this nursery, it has so much outdoor space for being curious and exploring. He always goes in happy and happy at the end of the day. They also have a lovely farm and we get to support them at the weekend which my kids love. Fantastic nursery.

My son had the most amazing time at Mottingham Hall. The staff are amazing. The communication is great. I honestly couldn’t ask for a better environment for him! I love the outdoor activities they provide as well! He’s grown so much since joining and the frequent focus weeks means extra attention is
being paid towards his development.
As a parent, you feel welcome with a parents' area and breakfast pastries served every morning!

This is such an amazing nursery. My son attended from 9 months until 4 and my daughter is now there. They love attending, the activities are thoughtful and fun for the kids as well as supporting their development. The whole approach fosters imagination and creativity. The food is excellent, the chef
cooks a varied menu and it’s so reassuring to know that my daughter is eating well. They also spend a lot of time outdoors in nature. They have a little farm with rabbits, chickens and goats which teaches the children how to care for others. On Monday my daughter roasted marshmallows around a campfire in the nursery’s own private woodland. Quite frankly I wish I could attend too!

We are relatively new to the nursery world but feel fortunate that Mottingham Hall for Children Nursery, Farm and Forest School is so close and that they refurbed so there is space for us. Our daughter loves to go outside (if she's not napping) and settled in quite quickly. The staff were great at helping
us relax into it as well, giving us regular updates and chats at pick up/drop off so we could feel reassured about her time here. She doesn't like adults usually but gives her keyworker and others cuddles and seeks them out. It's got a good space and lots of outdoor activities too, so we know she's getting a wide education through nature and indoor play. I like the updates we get through the day and the updates on her progress overall. She is encouraged to be confident and you can see, in some of the newer things she does at home, the positive impact going to nursery has had. I also like the morning drinks and snacks for parents. Overall, a very welcoming place.

Mottingham Hall is a wonderful nursery. It has great outside space for the kids to play freely in and a large forest school to explore. The forest school space really is one of a kind for a nursery in London.
All the staff are approachable and my daughter has always had a good experience with her
key workers.
I really have seen a change in my daughter’s speech, confidence and learning since starting.
The nursery has recently had a refurbishment making the indoor space bigger and brighter.
My favourite part of this nursery is the resources that are available for learning. They have adapted the curiosity approach. The kids get to have a great sense of home and nature. The nursery animals are a plus too!

We feel very lucky to have our daughter attend Mottingham Hall for Children. A very warm and caring environment. As added bonuses - the nursery building is recently refurbished, it is a forest school and has some lovely animals for the children to help care for. We can highly recommend it.

I love this place. The staff all genuinely seem to care for my daughter and have clearly built quite a special relationship with her, where she is happy to go to them each time I drop her off. They give you updates about what she gets up to during the day and are very proactive about informing me about
possible illness or any problem whatsoever. They don’t use screens or watch TV, and they seem to always come up with very creative learning activities! They go outside a lot as well. Highly recommend them.

Mottingham is such a great nursery! Living in zone 3 in London can be quite restrictive to nurseries to find outdoor space that allows children to explore the outdoors. Mottingham has this nailed on.
Both the in-class and outside activities the children do are stimulating, fun and inclusive.

Motthingham Hall for Children is an amazing nursery with amazing Woodlands and a farm on site.
Children can spend a significant amount of time outdoors and they are learning through the game. Having a farm on site teaches children responsibility of looking after animals. I am so happy my child is

Excellent nursery, staff always friendly and welcoming and happy to chat about the activities of the day at pick up. Our child is happy to attend and any time they need an extra cuddle at handover the staff are always happy to facilitate. The outdoor facilities are excellent, large and varied. The children
always spend as much time as possible outside (when the weather allows) in the garden area and visiting the farm animals which our child thoroughly enjoys!

The nursery has a positive environment, the staff are welcoming, the facility is amazing, the resources are amazing. They really take an effort in finding interesting and fun methods to teach babies different skills. The only feedback I would like to give is that it would be good to have more daily updates and pictures. It will help parents to repeat those activities at home and bolster their learning.
