Located in Uxbridge, The Old Station Nursery is a purpose-built nursery, providing a calm and nurturing setting amidst the hustle and bustle. The nursery offers exceptional care, enriched by unique learning opportunities for your child. One such experience is child-friendly cooking classes, helping to equip children with valuable skills and deeper knowledge of the cooking process.

Babies start their journey in their own room, equipped with age-appropriate resources to aid their development and learning, such as soft play equipment, mirrors, musical instruments and more.

In the Toddlers room, children are encouraged to become active learners through purposeful play, whilst having the freedom to explore their surroundings. Pre-Schoolers benefit from a more structured timetable of activities, where the passionate and qualified nursery teams support children prepare for school.

To assist with this, the nursery also offers a "Brighter Learning Approach", which is an enrichment programme that complements the core curriculum provision. Such a wonderful nursery - kind, considerate and really feels like a warm hug the moment you enter. Lots of art projects, nature activities and great food for the children. Meticulous care on every aspect of the child. Highly, highly recommend.

My son first attended this nursery back in 2016, and now my daughter is currently there. Both of my children have excelled and my daughter is extremely happy at this setting. The staff are nothing short of incredible! My daughter loves going there and is really thriving. I can't thank the staff enough
for making her time at nursery so fun and enjoyable.

We have been nothing but delighted with the service and standard of care that our son receives. The staff are absolute angels and can never do enough for you. On handover, you always get a thorough and detailed account of what your child has been up to that day. Any little incidents, they always keep
you well informed and I feel like part of the community there. All the parents and children that attend there seem to be happy. Whenever I phone to check he's doing OK, the staff can never help you enough. The food is amazing and the children are always given other options, if fussy! I would just like some more photos sent through via the app, which happened a lot when he first started and we loved seeing the pictures of our boy and what he had been up to in the day. Also, and this may happen already (as we haven't been attending for long) but we would love some events occasionally for parents. Thank you. We would never go anywhere else!

Our daughter is very happy here. She was a shy lockdown child when she started, but now she's brimming with happiness and confidence and is hugely supported by her lovely teachers. They're involved, engaged and make her feel special - they've been in contact constantly to aid her development in the
best way, and we can't thank them enough for taking the time to get to know her like they have.

Such a wonderful nursery with a lovely staff team that feels like one big family. My son loves coming to the Old Station Nursery, he is nurtured developmentally and emotionally. I have seen him grow and become a more confident learner and begin to understand and manage his emotions better. His needs
are always met and as a parent, I am listened to with regard to concerns and ideas for future development. I am excited to see how much more he will grow with their support next year. Thank you to the whole staff team.

My son settled very well with Uxbridge Old Station nursery. He was 14 months old when he started. He is a pandemic baby and has not met many children so I was very apprehensive about him settling at nursery. By week four, he had stopped crying and in fact, would go straight to the door smiling. He enjoys
all the activities. I am trying to increase the hours so he gets to spend more time there.

I am extremely happy to send my son to this nursery, I know he enjoys the different activities he does throughout the day. The staff are always so helpful, kind and honest. Settling into nursery during a pandemic wasn't easy, however I always felt confident that the staff were doing everything they

My child joined the nursery when he was just over a year having left another nursery. I was both nervous and apprehensive about leaving my little one in an unfamiliar setting. From the first settling-in day last year, until now, my child has felt happy and cared for every single day. The staff are amazing
and so accommodating. As a parent, I am so happy with how the staff look after the children. It really is a home away from home with a loving environment and I would recommend this nursery to anyone.

Amazing and friendly staff who care for the children well, even under such pressures as covid and extreme heat. My child is always happy to go to nursery and has a good relationship with both staff and children at the nursery and is always happy! My only suggestion would be that suitable aprons are
given to the children to paint in, as the paint is a nightmare to get out of the clothes but we have had no complaints otherwise.

The staff are the heart of the nursery, each one an angel as wonderful as the next. The facilities are excellent, especially being by the river. The use of Montessori techniques really helped our son to develop and be school-ready.

My son has been going to this nursery for just over one year and is now in the toddler room. He absolutely loves going every day and looks forward to it. This is always a tell-all sign that they are giving him a great experience. I appreciate their honesty, when he does not eat properly, they will not
hide that from me, they will always be honest about his eating and behaviour. The staff are lovely and they have always been so friendly and kind.

Our son is very happy here. He comes home and tells us all about the things he has done in the day with enthusiasm and a smile on his face. The staff are very friendly and any requests we have made have been met positively. Any time I have emailed in I have always received an email back within less
than 24 hours which is reassuring. Watching him walk himself in happily each morning has been a joy to watch! Thank you to all staff for creating a safe, happy place for my son to attend!

I had a very good experience bringing my two kids to this nursery. They tried their best to help my son eat solid food and they even referred him to find out if there was any health condition stopping him from eating solid foods. We really miss the nursery.

My daughter has recently joined the nursery in the baby room at 10 months old. She settled in so well and so quickly. She is always so excited to go and starts kicking her legs and shouting when we pull up in the car. The staff are so friendly and you can tell they look after the children really well
and you always receive an informed handover at the end of the day. They get a good variety of food offered. They also have a nice outdoor area which she really enjoys spending her time in. We are so pleased we chose to send our little girl to this nursery!

Everyone at the nursery is really kind and caring. Excellent infrastructure and great service. We have noticed a significant improvement in our baby’s development. We get regular updates through the app and staff.

A truly brilliant setting where they absolutely care for the children as their own. So impressed with the team and how they support my child. I just love how my daughter talks about her favourite person (key person) at home. From the door, in person, over the phone and via email, they are always responsive
and genuinely consider and take on board all feedback. The way they greet my child with love just cannot be matched. Food is excellent, my daughter is always talking about what the chef makes and thoroughly enjoys taking part in Big Chef Mini Chef with him weekly, making spring rolls and other delicious foods! Not only this, the nursery have a programme of wonderful additional activities like yoga and sports and resident gerbils who we can take home for the weekend. A warm, cosy and friendly setting full to the brim with magnificent people.

I am really happy with the level of care and learning provided at the nursery. My children are so happy to go to nursery and love all the staff. Whenever I have needed to discuss anything with staff, they have always been accommodating. I would highly recommend this nursery!

My daughter did well at the nursery and my son is now doing well too. I do wish they took literally a couple of minutes to briefly explain to us the activities of the day at pick up time, as quickly reading them off a whiteboard is not the same. Oftentimes, carers just hand over the kids and very quickly
mention what they ate and that's about it. There is a carer that I used to see a lot more (I guess her schedule changed) that does spend some extra time talking to parents about their kids at drop off time and I used to love that. She seems so attentive and caring to the children. When it comes to food, from what I'm told at pick up, it seems to consist of a lot of bread, pasta, toast and other cheaper carbs, so that's one thing I'd also change.

Thank you for your review! As a group, we are always trying to improve our communication with our families; especially at the end of the day as we know this is an important and exciting time to hear about what your little one has been up to! Unfortunately, due to COVID, our nursery teams have had to put in place safer operating procedures meaning that currently, all end of the day feedback must be done outside of the nursery and children are collected by staff individually. This has made it extremely difficult for staff to give a detailed handover as there is limited space for parents to wait causing long queues and waiting times. We hope to soon be able to lift our COVID procedures, allowing parents back into the nursery, and alleviating pick up time; allowing our teams to give families a more detailed end of day feedback! Our menus reflect the required nutritional guidelines, but we are always looking to improve them- any feedback is welcome via letusknow@theoldstationnursery.co.uk.
