I recommend this nursery, very nice and polite staff. My daughter didn't want to go to nursery but after a few weeks she was very happy to go to nursery, in the morning she got ready and was very happy to go to the nursery. The teachers are always smiling, my daughter has improved so she knows how to
count and identify different colours. Very clean, I am very happy I chose the right nursery for my daughter.

My child has been attending Little Stars Pre-school Nursery for a year now however her siblings went here previously, and I couldn't be more pleased with the experience. The staff are incredibly helpful, always going above and beyond to ensure the children are well taken care of. The environment is
nurturing and welcoming, making it a safe space for my child to grow and develop.
The team is not only professional but also genuinely caring, always keeping us updated on our child's progress and any activities they're involved in. We've noticed a positive impact on our child's social and cognitive skills since joining. The best nursery. My boy has been going since September 2024, so he is five months old and has learned a lot of things. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. I can say that this nursery was the best choice I made for my son.

From the very first day, I have been consistently impressed by the school's warm and nurturing environment, which has played a vital role in my son's development. My son particularly enjoys the hands-on approach to learning and it's amazing to see how his curiosity and enthusiasm for new experiences

Little Stars is a fantastic nursery, my children have made great progress. The planning and delivery of the EYFS curriculum is exceptional, as well as the staff. The adults working with children are caring, thoughtful and communicate well with parents. There are excellent safeguarding procedures in

I'm glad that I chose your nursery. I see my daughter progress in behaviour and education. She willingly sings and dances to songs. She tries to sing in English. she tries to count to ten in English. Has been showing the letters for several days and trying to pronounce them in English. I saw nurseries
where caring for a child ended only with ordinary play, where the children did not learn anything. For this, I know that she is well looked after by you. I'm very happy with her progress.

My daughters have been attending the nursery for over a year. All the staff are nice and approachable. If you have any concerns/queries they will take their time and listen to you. We get feedback from the nursery on the development of the children.

Darshika

Darshika Rajendera

Job Title: Director/Manager/SENCO & Safeguarding Officer

Joined: 2016

Since 2016, I have been the Director of Little Stars Preschool Nursery, overseeing overall operations, staff deployment, and ensuring compliance with EYFS standards.

With over 20 years of experience in childcare, I have worked with children aged birth to 8 years across various settings, including nurseries, Montessori schools, childminding, reception classes, and babysitting. My expertise extends to supporting children with special educational needs and understanding the expectations of children, parents, and carers to deliver exceptional care and education.
In 2016, I completed a Level 5 foundation degree, qualifying as a Deputy Manager. I took on the role of Director in January 2017 and, as of June 2024, I also serve as Manager, Safeguarding Officer, and SENCO.

I am deeply passionate about fostering children’s healthy development and providing them with a strong foundation for future success. My creative strengths—including playing music, Zumba dancing, painting, and computing—fuel my dedication to creating an engaging and nurturing environment for children.

Fluent in English and Sinhalese, with a good understanding of Hindi, I am able to connect effectively with diverse families and foster strong relationships.

Job Title: Trainee Deputy Manager/Safeguarding Officer

Devishna has been with Little Stars Preschool for over 9 years as a key worker and currently working as a trainee deputy manager/room leader. She is highly creative and excels at building positive relationships with children, parents, and staff. Devishna also plays a vital role in supporting children with SENCO needs, promoting positive behaviour, and helping them reach their full potential. Her primary focus is on teaching children discipline while instilling confidence, ensuring they feel comfortable approaching her as a nurturing, motherly figure. Additionally, she assists the manager in the day-to-day operations of the nursery. Her greatest strength lies in safeguarding, and she is one of the safeguarding leads in the setting.
