Valentines Nursery is an Ofsted-awarded 'Outstanding' nursery (March 2017 & December 2022) that offers full-day care and part-time sessional care for 40 children aged from birth to five years.

They offer a "home from home" warm and friendly environment where children are supported to thrive, developing a broad range of skills both educationally and within their social and emotional realm, successfully supported from the secure base of a nurturing relationship between Key Person and child. (Ofsted 2022).

The nursery successfully completed the Quilt (Quality Assurance in Learning and Teaching) scheme in 2008, receiving the highest level of credit in all nine modules, and continues to work in strong positive partnership with the London Borough of Redbridge to deliver the highest possible standards of childcare, achieving a Healthy Early Years London (bronze) Award in 2019. The Senior Manager is an experienced, qualified Early Years teacher with Early Years Professional Status and the highly skilled and experienced Manager has achieved a degree in Early Years.

The nursery thinks about children as unique individuals, each with their own valuable contributions to make, and thus tailors the highest-quality provision to meet their needs as fully as possible, allowing them to blossom as they should.

Experienced and expert Staff know that the first five years of a child's life are formative and therefore the key to a successful life trajectory. The nursery also understands that this is best achieved when children are happy, secure, healthy, resilient, and thoughtfully supported every day to develop a life-long thirst for learning and discovery through a stimulating and appropriately challenging curriculum.

Since our daughter began attending Valentine's Nursery, we've noticed a notable increase in her independence. She is always cheerful on nursery days and enjoys her time there. The smooth settling-in process built our trust in the nursery's high standards. We receive detailed updates about her activities
via an app, which reassures us of her well-being and development.
The premises are well-maintained, with a secure environment area that provides valuable play space. The nursery's flexibility, accommodating nature, educational approach, excellent communication, and robust policies are commendable. The staff is very friendly and outstanding; we trust their care completely and are impressed by their commitment to high standards.
We highly recommend Valentine Nursery for its nurturing impact on early development and the peace of mind it offers us as parents.

We sent our son to Valentines as our daughter came here 12 years ago - it was so comforting to find some of the original staff members (which is always a positive as they are also clearly happy here).
Our son is always happy to go to nursery and always has a smile on his face when we pick him up. His
progression has been great everything from vocabulary, manners, problem-solving and sharing.
I highly recommend Valentines Nursery!

Since attending the nursery I’ve noticed an increased independence in my child. She loves going and is content and happy with staff. I receive regular updates about her day and staff are approachable should I have any queries, comments or concerns. My daughter’s meeting her next steps in record times
and we notice her willingness to practice her skills at home. Direct feedback at the door is always constructive and more than just “they had a good day”. The nursery staff show their understanding in how valuable this feedback is to parents who haven’t seen their child all day. The outdoor space means she gets to play outside in a safe environment which is something our flat doesn’t offer so it’s great that my child gets valuable time in the garden with her friends at nursery. The nursery is clean and staff take pride in babies' appearance sending them home in a fresh nappy, clean hands and face. The food can be tailored to suit individual needs and my daughter loves it!

The care provided by all staff at Valentines Nursery is exemplary. My daughter settled in seamlessly and is always super happy to go through the door in the morning and always happy when I pick her up (chatting away in the car on the way home about her day!). The children take part in lots of different
activities and we love getting updates through the app. She quickly got used to the routines, sleeps really well and eats all of the fabulous food that is cooked fresh on site everyday. We could not be happier with our choice of nursery and would highly recommend Valentines to anyone. You have complete peace of mind that your child is receiving the best care and nurture possible by the wonderful staff team.

The review is for my four year old moving into school in September. I have moved my daughter into Valentines Nursery halfway through the year from another outstanding nursery closer to my home, as she's had all sorts of issues with that. Moving her into Valentines Nursery was the best decision I've
ever made for her emotional well-being. As I can compare it with her previous nursery, I can easily say that Valentines Nursery looked after my child with care, compassion, encouragement and enthusiasm. The staff are all amazing; they've worked with my child to fulfill her health needs and make an easy transition into adapting to other kids (as my child is shy) and they have given her the courage and care she needed. As a parent, most of all, I liked the electronic report with her daily activities, the food they ate and sometimes pictures. When I asked my daughter to summarise how her experience with the nursery was, she said they have the best food and toys! A sincere thank you!

Our daughter joined Valentines Nursery last November in the baby room. She attends three days a week.
We are so happy we found Valentines Nursery. It has a lovely, warm, family atmosphere. The children always seem to be having fun in a calm environment. I feel so confident dropping my daughter off
there that she will have a fun day, eat healthily and be well supported when she needs it. She’s clearly built an excellent bond with her key worker and other staff. Many staff have worked there for many years, another really good sign I think!
I love that it is smaller in numbers than some of the other nurseries in the area, because it helps it feel like the perfect step between my daughter being at home with me and starting school.
Finally, I have had to move the days she attends round a bit for work reasons and the staff have always been really responsive and flexible. Communication with us, as parents, has been excellent.

Our son has been going to Valentines Nursery since he was nine months old. He settled in well there. The staff at the nursery have been excellent and have helped him, as much as they can, whilst he is under their care. Our son has special needs and the nursery has been very good in supporting him and
has successfully obtained additional inclusion funding for him, to provide appropriate support. There is very good communication from the nursery and our son seems happy to be there. Overall, we are very pleased with this nursery and recommend it without hesitation.

The Ethos of the nursery is really lovely. A small nursery that is able to care for and nurture the needs of the children. I have seen my own child flourish as they have settled in and now constantly is smiling when I collect them. The staff are honest and are genuinely interested in the child's development
and growth which I can see at home too. Having clear and open communication is really important to me and each staff member I have spoken to has these qualities. I would recommend this nursery without hesitation.

My daughter is 3 and a half years old and has been attending Valentines Nursery for the past 6 months. She was eager to start after a short visit and managed to happily settle in. The nursery environment itself contains a range of stimulating activities for the children to partake in with a lovely outdoor
space. The staff are constantly encouraging children to be more self-aware and independent and providing support where needed. This has been reflected at home with her positive attitude towards daily tasks. My daughter enjoys the healthy nutritious meals the nursery provides which are catered towards her dietary needs. We are extremely lucky to live locally to Valentines Nursery as it certainly lives up to its 'Outstanding' status. Thank you to all the staff for their hard work and dedication.

Such a fantastic nursery!
Our son has been attending the nursery for nearly a year and from the get-go, the staff have been amazing. He is always so excited on the mornings he has nursery and this is so reassuring as a parent. He absolutely loves his time at nursery and this is all down to how loving
and caring all the nursery staff are towards him. They have excellent communication with us, whether it be via the app or email. They are also great at listening to or reassuring us if we ever have any worries about our son. His speech has improved so much thanks to them. Staff are all so incredibly welcoming and loving which shows in the way in which our son has developed such a positive relationship with them all.
Honestly cannot recommend this nursery enough!

Our 3 year 9 month old daughter has been with the nursery for 2.5 years now (and during the pandemic) and we've never had any issues with the service they provide. With our daughter being our first child, as parents, we were always apprehensive about where her childcare would take place. We are delighted
and were reassured instantly that we had made the right decision. The staff have always been helpful and polite - our child has been happy throughout her time and we'd have no hesitation recommending other parents now and in the future.

I had such a positive experience with Valentines Nursery with my eldest (now 6) that I had to ensure my 2-year-old attends too. The care here is unmatched and it is very telling when you know the staff turnover here is incredibly low. I feel very reassured knowing my child is happy, safe and well looked
after while we are at work. I love that the menu is inclusive for all children, my child vocally tells me she loves meal times with the nursery. I would and have recommended Valentines Nursery to anyone who asks me and will say that the staff here are very transparent and I always feel I can openly ask about anything I need to. The Montessori approach is great and whilst I have no expectations for my child, we have seen our 2-year-old change from a shy and reserved toddler to a very chatty and sociable one - she is visibly very happy here and it's due to the hard work the managers and staff at Valentines Nursery have put in daily to help our children grow, thank you.

Valentines Nursery is an amazing nursery! The ladies there really cater to your child's needs and makes sure your child feels at home. They have really welcomed my son, made him feel right at home and make sure to follow my routine. It is great as some nurseries I spoke to like to implement their own
routines but Valentines Nursery work around you! I would highly recommend it.

This nursery has always gone above and beyond for my son. It’s always hard making a decision about the right nursery for your child, but this nursery has hands down been the first and best experience I have had. The staff are absolutely amazing and are always so attentive to my child. Valentines Nursery
have always been responsive to any of my questions or queries and I would recommend it to anyone and everyone. I love the way we communicate through the early years log and see what our son has done during the day and they also share videos of his progress. It’s also in a great location, right next to the park, where they take the children on a nice day. Thank you so much, to all the staff that do their absolute best!

Really great nursery, always friendly and attentive. The last couple of years haven’t been straight forward, but they’ve really helped our son get through all the start, stop and changes. He always talks about the adults in a hugely positive way and stays busy with a variety of fun activities.

My husband and I are so pleased with our son's all round development and progress in the short space of time, since he started attending Valentines Nursery. For example, speech development, use of cutlery, becoming more independent, expressing his views, developing manners etc. The management and staff

Valentines Nursery is a wonderful nursery. Our little son had such a lovely time there. Three members of staff, in particular, were excellent. The staff are so considerate and caring. I couldn’t recommend this nursery more. We would have stayed with them, but left as we were relocating. Only wish we
could have brought the nursery with us.
