My son loves his nursery and he will talk about his teachers and his friends at nursery to me when I pick him up. All staff are very caring, super friendly and funny too! There's nothing better knowing your child is having a great time there every day!

Staff are very welcoming and reassuring. My son seems very happy and we get pictures and updates regularly. My son is the youngest in his room and I sometimes wonder if he can access some of the learning activities they do physically but he certainly has a lot of fun and staff clearly help him. He is
comfortable there as he naps fine and eats all his food. The menu seems really nice! Nurseries are expensive but I feel confident my child is well looked after and does lots of fun activities.

My son started in October 2023, and I am super happy we made the choice to send him to Bright Horizons. From the second his place got accepted and throughout the settling-in sessions to now, the whole team have been fab. My son always has a great day, and it's so important to know your child is well
taken care of when you are out at work. Will definitely be sending all future children to this nursery.

We are so pleased we chose Woodford Woodlands for our daughter. The setting is just the right size so you know all the staff and children and this gives a really lovely family feel to it all. The staff are always kind, helpful and professional. The activities are interesting and varied, as are the meals.
Our daughter is thriving as a result.

Our experience of Bright Horizons Woodford Woodlands has been excellent.
The staff have brought out the best in our son, filled him with abundant confidence and he’s always so happy to be there. They know how to keep him engaged and progress in his development which has come on leaps and bounds since
starting at this setting. He’s managed to forge some excellent friendships here as well.
The menu is varied and we know our son is getting a varied and healthy diet, whilst always catering to his allergen requirements.
Communication with management is open, easy and the updates and development reports we receive on our son through the app makes such a difference to us.

My child has been attending Bright Horizons Woodford Woodlands Nursery and Preschool since he was 15 months and is now 3 years old. I would highly recommend the nursery - the care, facilities, resources and learning is absolutely outstanding. My child has developed really well, with confidence, curiosity
and happiness. It is an excellent environment for any child to flourish. The staff and management are extremely professional taking excellent care for the wellbeing and development of each child. It is such a happy place. I would strongly recommend this nursery and preschool. I’m so incredibly happy with how my child has settled, grown and learnt so many amazing things. The opportunities the nursery and preschool provides for my child to develop is absolutely amazing.

My son started Bright Horizons Woodford Woodlands in September 2022 and my daughter started in May 2023. Both of my children absolutely love Woodlands. The nursery was awesome in the way they managed the settling-in period. We had a very smooth transition from the settling-in period to dropping the
children off for their full days at nursery.
The staff are professional, kind and very caring. We receive lovely updates and communications about what the children have been doing.
Recently our son came home telling us all about the volcanos they had created in nursery. He’s excited going into nursery which really highlights the nurturing environment created by Woodlands.
My children have really progressed in both speech and understanding of the world around them and I feel the nursery has really supported this. They create a space which allows my children to feed their curiosity with the environment in nursery, toys, books, projects but most importantly the interaction with the staff.

My son has attended Woodford Woodlands since he was 11 months old and is now 4.5 years old and absolutely loves nursery. He is excited to go to nursery and walks in without a backwards glance. I don't worry about him at all while I work because I know he is happy and safe. The activities and education
he receives are excellent. He has learned his phonics sounds for all the letters of the alphabet for example. He is a happy and confident little boy and that is in no small part due to this nursery.

My son has attended Bright Horizons Woodford Woodlands Day Nursery and Preschool since he was 9 months old - he is now 3 and has graduated up to the preschool room. He absolutely loves his nursery days and it's been so lovely to witness his development under the staffs care. He has built some lovely
relationships and it's nice to see he still remembers many of his carers, even from his first room. From the very first day, the manager and all the staff have been excellent at working with us to ensure he has the very best care and opportunity for development. All food is cooked onsite and the children are offered such a wide variety. My son loves telling us what he has eaten when we pick him up. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend. Thanks to all the staff at the nursery!

My daughter attended Bright Horizons Woodford Woodlands Day Nursery and Preschool from ten months to three years and eight months and my son at eleven months is now there. We have found the staff at Bright Horizons Woodford Woodlands Day Nursery and Preschool to be wonderfully kind and caring towards
our children, both my children have been very happy. My children were both tricky sleepers when they started but the staff have wonderful ways with babies and very soon they were sleeping and eating well. All food is cooked in house and there is a great choice, encouraging healthy eating. The staff do lots of great, creative activities throughout the day and have a lovely amount of small outside space that the children use very often. As my daughter got older, we were really impressed with how the staff adapted to and managed her growing independence and assertiveness, potty training and helping her develop her first Math and phonics. We have always been assured that Bright Horizons Woodford Woodlands Day Nursery and Preschool has excellent processes in place to keep the children safe and happy. Nothing has ever been too much trouble for the manager and another member of staff.

From my very first visit to look around, Bright Horizons Woodford Woodlands Day Nursery and Preschool stood out straight away. Everyone is so warm and friendly. My son started about two years ago and will be continuing until he starts school. He loves his days there and is so happy. Throughout the pandemic
I’ve never had to worry about him at nursery and they’ve handled all the changes so well. The menu is terrific and he loves his food! He frequently comes home with art and crafts from activities that he’s done. He’s flourished under their care and is confident and friendly with other people, even with the lockdowns, which really shows how much they’ve nurtured him. I’ve recommended Bright Horizons Woodford Woodlands Day Nursery and Preschool to other local mum's. I couldn’t say enough good things about the staff.

Our two and a half-year-old daughter has been at Woodlands since she was a year old. During her time here she has developed as a happy, confident child. This has been augmented in so many ways by the wonderful support from the team at Woodlands. I cannot recommend the nurses enough.

Bright Horizons Woodford Woodlands Day Nursery and Preschool have been a respite in the pandemic with consistent care being provided to my toddler aged 3. She had some of the best caretakers in The Pine Room. The transition to Pre-School Room was also smooth. Looking forward to more learning as she
starts preparing for reception next year. Would also be great if the nursery is able to do some outdoor walks in the grounds or the greens.

As a parent, there is nothing that makes me happier knowing my daughter is so happy to go into “school” in the morning, we barely get a wave. She is equally happy when we pick her up, and she tells us about her day, her activities and her friends (classmates and staff). Since day 1, the staff and management
have been supportive and always been prompt at responding to messages and queries. One issue we had was dealt with professionally and with empathy. I couldn’t be happier knowing my daughter is in a friendly and caring environment.

My child has attended since he was five months old and he is now nearly two. My eldest daughter also attended from three months old.
Woodlands staff ensure my child is safe at all times. They share progress and snapshots of my son's development whenever I ask to see his Learning Story. I am aware
of his next steps through this process too.
My son is always very happy to go to nursery and the staff are welcoming, warm and friendly to parents and children. I have always felt that my children’s needs have been addressed. The displays on the wall are vibrant and show a range of activities that the children have taken part in. We value the fact that all festivals are celebrated and different events are observed that reflect diversity and promote tolerance. The food provided is superb - varied, healthy and interesting. An amazing setting with professional staff - highly recommended.

Claire has been a Nursery Practitioner for 18 years and qualified with an NNEB with Distinction qualification in 1993.


She has continued to refresh and update her training over the years in order to keep up with the ever-evolving world of childcare.


Claire has always worked in the private sector and has vast experience with all age groups between 0 and 5 years, having room-managed all base rooms from babies to preschool in Senior Management positions before taking over Woodlands as Manager in 2001.


She splits her working day between dealing with the everyday running of the nursery based in the nursery office and working on the nursery floor supporting her staff and spending much valued time with the children.


Claire is proud of her strong and dedicated staff team and the excellent reputation that Woodlands Day Nursery and Preschool has built up in the local community over the years.
