Chestnut Nursery School Woodgrange opened in August 2007 and it is located within Woodgrange Infant School. It is a purpose-built nursery offering places for 50 children aged between 2-5 years per session across two rooms. They have their own open outdoors large space meaning that the children have opportunities to explore and learn.

The nursery is a safe environment for 2-5 year-olds to explore using all their senses to learn with resources at a child friendly height, children learn by playing and exploring. There is a large garden space for children to benefit from free flow outdoor play in a secure and stimulating environment. The nursery, as with all Chestnut Nursery Schools, follows the Early Years Foundation Stage teaching structure as part of their core curriculum. Woodgrange encourages child development through outdoor, nature-driven activities. They also have space for messy fun including sensory materials and art activities.

Chestnut is a lovely nursery, staff are attentive and create very close bonds with the children. I also like the fact the space is open plan, free play is encouraged as well as organised activities and the children of all ages mix. The large garden is also a bonus.
